Great local mom and pop Filipino market where you don't want to break your bank paying gas to go to Seafood City or 99 Ranch AND stress out of how long of a trip it's gonna take. Instead it's nice that you can go here! For me, it's just 10min away from home! As someone who grew up in the SF Bay Area, where Filipino markets and restaurants are as common as any other Asian grocery store, moving to Moreno Valley was definitely an adjustment. When you're used to having places like Seafood City just around the corner, realizing the nearest Seafood City or Ranch 99 is about 30 minutes away is a real culture shock! That's why I was so excited to find this hidden gem only 10 minutes from my home. Sure, the aisles are narrow, but honestly, it reminds me of the small neighborhood markets back in the Philippines. It adds to the charm and makes the shopping experience feel authentic. You know you've found a good local mom and pop Filipino market when within seconds of walking through the door you spot balut, homemade ensaymada, a fish fry counter, and shelves stocked with traditional Filipino brands in the kind of variety you normally only see at Seafood City. They carry many of the staples and specialty items that can be hard to find in the Inland Empire. Sure, the fish fry isn't as crispy as like the big markets, but hey that's just one thing that i won't fault this place entirely for! For Filipinos missing a taste of home--or anyone wanting to explore Filipino food and culture--this place is absolutely worth the visit. I'm grateful to have found a little piece of the motherland so close to home. Now if they could somehow squeeze a Jollibee, Red Ribbon, and a tita asking why I'm still not eating enough into the store, I'd never have to drive to Orange County again. lol read more

In an area with very few locations that offer fresh whole fried fish, this place is a gem. Manilla Ranch is a small unassuming grocery store with specializes in asian delicacies from around the world. This is one of the few places you can get snacks to try, fish balls, or even pastries. For me their stand out is their fish counter. Now they don't have the largest selection of fish, however, they are always fresh and cooked and seasoned to perfection. You can get a light fry or heavy fry. You can get it seasoned lightly or heavily they are great at accommodating. They can even just clean and gut the fish and package it for you to take home and prepare as you best suit it. They typically have tilapia, red snapper, cat fish, and shrimp, but there are some other fish variants as well. As I have become somewhat of a regular they basically know me by name. However they are always kind and treat their customers well. This place is a very welcomed part of the community and we'll recommended to try. read more

They have a lot of variety in authentic products with fresh items, including Baked goods, fruits and vegetables. They also have a "buy and fry" in the back of the store. Some items are a little pricy, but when you need an ingredient, you surely find it there. read more

This place has been here since I was a kid. I stopped in recently to grab a few random items: longaniza, banana sauce, and some snacks. As I walked in, I went directly to the right of the store, remembering there was a freezer section there.. but if you're looking for longaniza, frozen lumpia, or hot dogs, it's actually straight ahead in the back left corner. My "go to" Filipino store when visiting my mom. It's a small grocery store but very well-stocked! Although they have a lot of Filipino spices, there are also other asian products but don't go crazy looking for other ethnic specific ingredients. They have fresh veggies (sitaw, ampalaya, talong etc...) and seafood. The thing I love the most is choosing a fish and have them fry it for me. That keeps my mom's kitchen smelling fresh lol. It saves me so much time and price is reasonable. Employees here are pretty friendly. There is ample parking space and their hours are pretty decent. read more

Basic Philippino market with some American pantry staples. Was able to also find Korean chili paste gochujan. Got some pancit noodles, tapioca pearls to make boba at home, and grabbed some fresh baked goodies: ensayamadas, and puto. So yummy. Lady at the fron was nice and funny. She was surprised we knew what the baked goodies were. Good place for hard to find Asian ingredients. Not 5 stars because the fish didn't look so fresh, but I'm super picky. Will come back to see if it was just a bad day. I really want to try some more items. read more

I was the only customer here and the girl was occupied doing something. She answered my questions thou had an attitude that what she was doing was priority instead of being warm and gracious to a customer. That was missing. Ample parking on this lot space, it's not aesthetically pleasing. Next door is a Mexican market and on the other side is a taco shop that had a long lien with no social distancing. This market is small, very packed and an eye sore. There must be an organized way of doing things thou i didn't see it. Also, I question the cleanliness. I'm grateful I found Magnolia ube ice cream for $8.99 and they had plenty and a good selection. Service SUCKS!!! Treats their customers like thieves. The fish cleaner (Hispanic) in the back, our of his frustration with a customer when the fish cleaner could not find the fish the customer wants, SLAM DROPS the tongs and yells at the customer to come around the counter and get it herself. The owner too, rudely ignored the customer asking for the fish. These people could care less about their customers, that when a while back, I personally assisted a couple of their customers find items, and explained some of the Filipino snacks they were interested in, because the owner is too arrogant to nicely explain the products they sell. I've always wondered what was in here and finally decided to take a peak (before going for tacos of course). So glad I did. I was able to find some SPICY and delicious ramen, Thai tea, coconut cookies, matcha wafers etc. They even have a good selection of ice creams, breads, seafood and lots of sauces. First time there. Was looking for fresh salmon to eat. It was mostly my fault because I got there about half an hour before they were closing. The fresh fish was about to be put away and the girl asked if I wanted it just as is or if I wanted it cut. I did ask if it had the bone in and the response was that it was belly so no which seemed to have a bit of attitude.I laughed at my inexperienced, seemingly arrogant question. I replied as is because I understood how she probably was ready to close up and go home. I've cut meet before... I continued to be polite all the way to checkout and she warmed up a bit. When I got home i was surprised because I didn't realize that the salmon would still have the fins and the fat and rough muscle from the fin. I was hoping to save the girl what would have taking her like 5 min which took me like an hour to try to save most of the 3 pounds I ordered and was probably only able to salvage about a pound... I believe they check the weight after cut if you request but don't quote me on that. So other than a bit of attitude which could have been my imagination but when I said no bone that the fin and muscle would have been nice to have been brought to my attention so that's why I would say 4 stars. She may have not realized or maybe she did that I was a newbie at ordering fish that was not cut. But if she would have been more polite and explained it regardless of how experienced I seemed than I would give 5 stars for sure. The girl that took t he order and cut the fish before her was much nicer to the guests and was thorough with their order being very accurate even though they changed what they wanted several times. read more

Small store with unique items mainly for people that use Filipino ingredients. Some other reviewers havr complained about the limited number of items, but I always find a way of leaving with $50 to $80 in groceries. My favorite spot for getting fried fish, especially Pompano and Milkfish. The store is kept clean and as long they are there I'll keep coming back. read more

Small little Filipino store with lots of surprises. This place actually carries a lot of stuff esp. for such a tiny space; from bread, chips, ice creams, noodle soup, fresh vegetables, meats to shampoo, cologne, car fresheners and etc. Most of my Filipino cravings, I can usually find here. I like how they will clean and fry the fishes you selected at no extra charge. Like I mentioned, this store is pretty small and can get cramped if there's lots of people. But they sure do a good job on organizing their aisles and products (SEE PIC). If you are also wanting a quick lunch, they have a small selection of hot food for sale. They usually serve, dinuguan, chicken or pork adobo, sweet and sour fish and etc. However, I think it's only for TO GO since they really don't have room or table for you to eat there. Well, I think I saw one small coffee table with 2 chairs by the door way. Not very comfortable in my opinion but it will do, if you really must eat there. Sometimes, the hot food gets a bit dry and old by the end of the day since it sits in the heatlamp. But if you are there before lunch, food is serve newly cooked and with good flavors too. Oh, they also cater and their pancit bihon is consistently 5 stars! If you are wanting lechon (roasted pig) for Christmas, you can buy it there per kilo so you don't have to worry about ordering the whole pig. Customer service is consistently friendly and accommodating. Prices here are mostly decent but sometimes, I'll noticed items that's 3-5 dollars more than you can find in Nogales or West Covina Asian stores. I guess it's either you pay for the difference or drive 45mins to buy them cheaper. Overall, this is a complete little Filipino store with a big smile. read more

I stopped going here for 2 years now. Left an item and spoke to owner that she will give it back to me . When I came back , the cashier gave me attitude and she didn't believe me. I know, it's a small amount of money but I've been coming to this since 2009 with the old owner and it's my first time leaving an item and they think I'm a liar. Since then I never came back. It's technically a decent place to shop if you're looking for specific ingredients and don't want to drive further. The circumstances we as a nation is experiencing, is when we really know how the business are. Today around 4 to 5pm my mom went to this market and was treated unfairly. She came in and looked around and did her shopping and even picked a fish to be fried. According to her a lady even helped her look for an item. As she was waiting for fish to be done. She was approached by a lady and told her someone complained that you dont have a mask. She said the riverside county told them,people need mask. When I called to verify then she said it's not riverside county, it's our business policy.. my question is what is it really? She literally have my mom pay for all the grocery she had that worth $70 just to tell her later; SHE CAN WAIT OUTSIDE TILL HER FISH DONE FRYING. my question is are they really care about the safety of the citizens? Cause when I called how bad customers service they gave my mom and informed her that sanitizing their basket and people washing their hands is important she replied to me by saying it's not my business if they wash their hands.. if that makes sense to you go ahead and continue giving them your money. Manila ranch market in Moreno Valley is a small Asian Filipino market. I ordered fried fish and picked up a few items while waiting for my fish to cook. They have a selection of sauces and some Korean and Vietnamese noodles and spices. They also carry a selection of Asian vegetables and some frozen items as Siopao, Filipino sausages and variety of ice cream (ube is my favorite). People there are friendly and very helpful. Other regular shoppers are also helpful in pointing out where you can find things if you ask. This was my first time shopping at this store and I'll definitely be back again. read more

So stoked this place opened! Such a cute mom and pop shop feels. This Filipino store is so cute and was able to check this place out during the grand opening. It seems like a family is running it and looks like a lot of them were there today for the opening. Love the environment and really STOKED cause I found sriracha mayo here!! The people here are not helpful at all. I came into the store with my newborn in his car seat and purse in the other hand. I only needed 3 things so I figured it would be quick in and out. Once I entered I wasn't greeted and thought well maybe it busy. Nope there was only one other person there I walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter was in her laptop didn't even care to look up and talk to me so I had to make my presence known she then called for another worker there to come and help me. I needed Chinese five spice powder, sweet potato starch and rice wine. When I asked the lady she didn't know what five spice was and then said they didn't have it. She then told me to just walk down the isle and find my other items. So there I go squeezing in the tiny isles with my baby bumping into every corner by this time my arm is tired. I immediately find five spice had trouble finding the rest so I asked for help again she then found rice vinegar and told me that was rice wine I could tell she didn't not want to take the time to help me and just redirected me to look down the rest of the halls and help myself. At this point I walked down determined to find what I needed but didn't find the other 2. I paid for my one item just to get home open it and realize the seal had been open under the cap. So if I were anyone interested in going in and needing help call ahead maybe and have them check if they even have the item. But good luck they may not even want to help go look for you. I ended up going to another Asian market on Alessandro and Fredrick that had everything I needed and were very help when I entered. Bigger as well.
