We ordered the traditional French toast but what came to the table was French toast bites. They weren't bad.. I just think I was in the mood for the traditional French Toast. The waitress offered to take it back and get us the correct order but I said it was fine. We ended up not eating it with the exception of the piece we tired and the waitress took it off our bill without a fuss at all. It's your typical breakfast/brunch vibe, pretty busy but honestly there were a ton of young families and couples with babies! Made us feel like we chose the right place to come. In this case I've been here before and the place was packed. Location is just across from Stony Brook University so I could understand but today there was minimal activity. A variety of coffees which I had no complaint with. Okay let's cut to the chase. The interior has an industrial look which is pretty common today, but at some point I looked up to see the exposed HVAC ducts which are painted a cream color. The problem, the tops of the ducts were caked with dust. Major turn off. When someone opens the door to come in or out I have to imagine the breeze, or today the wind, disturbs the dust/dirt which then has the potential to end up in my coffee or food. Again with so many coffee shops in the area I'll be going to one of them. But to be fair I'll check back to see if they get the message
