    Aperol coconut margarita

I feel terrible for the hardworking young waitress at this establishment. She was single-handedly managing ten tables while also seating guests, clearing and cleaning tables--all with no additional support. Meanwhile, the bar had two bartenders, making it the best option for service if a seat was available. We stopped by for lunch during the annual Port Jefferson Ice Festival, a time when you'd expect the restaurant to be adequately staffed. However, instead of preparing for the increased foot traffic, the establishment chose to reserve two tables for friends and family. The owner (or an employee) sat and dined with them while the overwhelmed waitress struggled to keep up. As the restaurant became overwhelmingly packed, the person that worked there that was sitting down eating at the reserved table finally decided to step in--though not in a professional manner. He attempted to seat guests and deliver food, all while holding a vape pen and repeatedly bumping into the waitress, which at one point looked like it was done on purpose. The friends/family that took up two tables finally left and the owner/employee that was most likely off the clock, left as well. Leaving the waitress to continue to struggle. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special and certainly not worth a return visit. More importantly, I'd rather support a restaurant that values both its employees and its customers. This place gives the impression of being poorly managed and driven by greed rather than good service.

Fellow Yelpers and long time Islanders, help a sister out here... was this the old wine and cheese shop? Your girl loves her whiskey and I had no idea that this place existed let alone that they have Karaoke on a Thursday night! Say what? Super cute bar, awesome whiskey selection, with also a good looking food menu as well. With dinner eaten prior to our visit here, we opted for just dessert with their blondie that came à la mode. It was recommended by the staff and we were happy to learn we knew what they were talking about. Cheers Whiskey Barrel! Til our next visit.

We initially were sat outside and.....it's literally just picnic tables in an alley leading to the parking lot with no decorations or anything. Then they forgot about us outside so we went in and asked to sit at the bar. The bartender was super nice and made our two drinks which were delicious! We ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer, a buffalo chicken wrap and pork tacos. Everything came out at one time and it was all cold. The buffalo wings and tacos were good the wrap was 70% lettuce, 20% wrap and 10% chicken. We did sit at the bar so maybe that's why the food came out cold. I'd like to try this place again but at a table.

I came here on Sunday for brunch with some girlfriends. The place was not busy at all, so no wait for a table. For drinks a couple of my friends had the "bottomless" mimosas. Each of them were given an entire bottle of champagne and a carafe of juice. I had the Bloody Mary, which had a fun presentation but the drink was watery and lacked flavor. So I then ordered a cup of coffee. I received a French press coffee but unfortunately this wasn't good either. For food, they got the Dirty Potatoes and I had the Avocado Toast. All the food was absolutely delicious. Overall this place has a lot of potential. We will definitely be back for the food!

This is my second time here! I wish I lived closer. The food is good! I've had the salmon which was juicy. This time I had the side salad and the brined fried chicken sandwich. This chicken sandwich has coleslaw, red onions, and pickles it has so much flavor you don't need any condiments. I tasted the short ribs of beef on a panini. The beef was seasoned and tender and they give a bowl of gravy with it. It was great! I also tasted the jack Daniel's burger. The beef was fresh and all the topping with the jack Daniel's sauce come together so well. The service from Will was the best. He was attentive and personable. In June they will have a cigar and whiskey event. Hopefully I can attend. Also heard their brunch is good as well as the mimosas.

Few weeks back, my wife had a craving for a burger and we wanted to try a different place. Luckily, the kitchen closes late around 10:15. We ordered a barrel burger and a sear tuna salad. The burger was cooked to perfection at medium rare temp and it held well in the car ride. They were able to accommodate my wife's request to swap for a gluten free bun at no extra charge. Even I bit into the burger and will gladly admit the gf bun didn't dampen the overall taste of the burger. My tuna ahi salad was wonderful and would definitely recommend. Walking in, this may look like a bar food kind of place but after trying their food, you can see it's an elevated taste and feel. We will definitely go back.

Great service! Came here for a NYE dinner. The crispy chicken avocado wrap was great as well as the waffle fries. Also had Mozzarella sticks. Our server was quick and attentive. Great food and great time.

Really good, consistent food. I've ordered through yelp, pick-up, and dined in and every time was a great experience. Food is always great along with reasonable wait times. They have great wings here - so that's my usual order when coming here. Here's some of the things I usually get from here: - wings bone-in: buffalo or sometimes plain - quesadilla - melted jack cheese in a flour tortilla served with salsa, sour cream & guacamole with chicken. (Sometimes adding - cranberry, chicken & walnut salad wrap: grilled chicken served over greens, tomatoes, dried cranberries, chooped walnuts, bleu cheese crumbles, topped with raspberry vinaigrette dressing put in a wheat wrap served with fries. - marinated steak sandwich: tender skirt steak on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese & sautéed red onion Will be trying other things on the menu. It's always poppin' here so if you're ordering takeout, give about 20-30 mins during busy nights. Highly recommend.

The Whisky Barrel has quickly become my go-to spot in Port Jeff. A great selection of whisky and local beers, plus a diverse menu with lots of innovation on the seasonal specials. I've been a few times and would strongly recommend the pickle chips and the BBQ grilled cheese (a staff favorite). The bartenders are always very friendly and bring an inviting vibe to the place. Finally, the location offers a special or event almost every day, so keep an eye out for deals, music, and entertainment like trivia night!

Saturday evening dinner, live music good but a little loud to have conversation. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great drink menu. Food was delicious. Started with fried pickles that were excellent and not too heavy on batter. The chicken sandwich was excellent, juicy, tasty. The slaw was fantastic. Waffle fries crisp on the outside and soft inside. Everything served hot. Would definitely recommend and will come back.

Love this place!! My husband and I stopped here while walking around Port Jeff and we were so happy to see a place like this open up here. We only had cocktails here but the food that was going out looked amazing!! We will definitely go back to try it out. The food and drink menu is awesome, and the drinks we tried were absolutely delicious. Our server was also the bartender and she made the most amazing cocktails. I wish I would remember her name because she was just so great and knowledgeable about all of the cocktails on her menu. The decor in this place is also awesome. This place is so welcoming that you could just hang out here and try everything on the food and drink menu. I am really looking forward to going back here. I'm also so happy they opened this place and know that they are going to do really well in Port Jeff, especially once the weather gets a little nicer. I highly recommend you stop in and check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

This place is described as tapas-style, so some dishes are on the smaller size, but the more expensive dishes are full portion: the burger, chicken, pasta w/crab, etc. Seems they also change their menu very regularly, as I saw some fantastic looking things in the pictures here, none of which were on the menu. On the more expensive side price wise, and there is a full bar and bourbon selection to punch it higher. Tried a few things, some I'd skip if I came back, but also a few things I'd like to try that I didn't get to. Skippables include the Gouda Gruyères: onion soubise and the cacio e pepe, both underwhelming and more expensive than it should have been. I also tried the gem salad, chicken wings, the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe, and the flan for dessert. Flavors were good, the wings were very heavy on the salt but had good flavor, and everything else was covered in tons of cheese, from the salad to the pasta, it was a lot. Service was quick, waitress friendly. People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get). Interested in seeing a fall menu for this place!

The space is stunning. Pink and green tones, chandeliers, fairy lights, leather chairs, and individual table lamps at the seating areas create a modern, chic, romantic vibe. It feels intentional and beautifully curated from the moment you walk in. We stopped in for drinks and small bites before dinner. My wife ordered the vanilla chai martini, and she loved it -- smooth, flavorful, and well-balanced. I had a cocktail with a reposado base (I don't currently see it listed on the menu, so I can't recall the exact name), but it was excellent -- smooth, slightly sweet, and very well crafted. For small bites: She ordered the smoked salmon. I had the stuffed sweet potato. The stuffed sweet potato was hearty and easily shareable -- which we did -- and there was still enough for leftovers (which I unfortunately left on the table -- still hurts a little). Service also deserves recognition. Our server seemed a bit young and possibly newer, maybe even a little nervous at first -- but he did a great job. He was attentive, polite, and well-mannered. When we had questions about the tequila used in the cocktail or what type of mushroom was in the stuffed sweet potato, he made sure to get the answers for us. That level of attentiveness definitely stood out. Between the ambiance, the drinks, the food, and the service, this place set the tone perfectly for our evening. My wife already wants to revisit, and that says everything. 5 out of 5. Perfect date-night energy.
