My wife has had the same experiences multiple times here as well. Staff don't seem willing to do more than what is minimally required to get you to leave. Know your insurance and know what is covered before going. I finally switched pharmacies as it is much quicker to walk into a store and get a prescription from a well-run facility than driving through here.

My dad died very recently and this back and forth with walgreens over medication that I cannot be without had me in tears...more than tears. I asked for a manager thinking it was my only possible hope for some compassion..Ha! A guy with a very strong accent came on the line. I could tell instantly this was going to be another disappointment. They went beyond helpful to track down a prescription that I really needed this evening. I had already looked for it at another pharmacy & they said it was at Walgreens. So, I walked to the Walgreens in Brighton. If wasnt there. It was at another pharmacy, in Thornton. I couldn't get there in time. I tried using my doctor's service but, that didn't seem to work. This wasn't a medication that can be transferred from a pharmacy to another. The pharmacist took a long part of his day to track down one of the doctor's to make it happen. I have not seen this type of customer service in a long time. I want to say thank you. A+++ service!!!

I've been very sick for the last week and needed to have 7 prescriptions filled. Since I'm having trouble breathing, I really didn't want to wait so I called around and was able to get the out-of-stock items filled at a different location. The next day my husband went to pick up the remaining items. Before he left, I went to the Walgreens website and cancelled two items online, one because I realized I already had some at home and one because I had picked it up the day before at the other location. I thought that would be easier than telling my husband which ones to get and which ones to leave. Boy, was I wrong! He came home with 5 prescriptions including the ones I'd cancelled. Knowing this would be difficult, I dragged myself and the two cancelled prescriptions to the Walgreens to return them. They asked me if they'd left the store and I said yes, and they said they can't accept returns on items that had left the store. I understand the policy and it's a good one but it was THEIR mistake so I said "I don't care what you do with the medications but I'm not going to pay for something that I canceled." They repeated their position so I repeated mine and the woman behind the counter said let me get the manager who essentially just repeated the same thing. She had to call a higher level manager to get approval and then made it clear to me that this was a "one and done" and I needed to do a better job of communicating to my husband what needs to be picked up. I replied that I thought their computer systems needed to do a better job of communicating between online and the store. When I told all this to my husband he asked me "On what planet is it the customer's job to make sure that the pharmacist isn't dispensing drugs that they're not supposed to be passing out?!"
