Best 7-Eleven that I have been. This one is at the border of Hayward and Union City on Whipple Road. I was sticker shocked by the gas prices next to my hotel just a mile away. I decided to explore away from the freeway. Credit card prices are only 10 cents more and it's more favorable to my wallet. The unisex bathroom was very clean. Coffee was fresh and delicious. Hot deli was fully stocked at 5:30 am. Except the exterior lights went off when I left the store. I didn't bother to ask why because I'm just a visitor. read more

A much nicer, newer 7-11, I think this is what they envisioned when I read somewhere out there in the ether that they were redoing 7-11's to follow a newer, more updated business model. I stopped here for gas and noticed the fuel pumps were pumping very slowly. It took much longer than usual to fill up, which was frustrating. The station itself was okay, but the low fuel pump speed really needs to be fixed. Hopefully this gets improved because it affects the overall experience. read more

Hey, there's a brand new 7-Eleven C-Store/ Gas station at Whipple Rd & Amaral St in Union City! It was opened in June 2022. The gas station portion is little cramp with only 3 small islands, and 1 pump on each. The convenience store (C-Store) is bright and shiny. It's loaded with hot food, rows of coffee urns, multiple Slurpee machines, and everything you expect in a 7-Eleven. I was there on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was fairly busy. The clerk said they were out of change, and he seemed to be guessing my change. He also did alot of suggestive selling. He tried to get me to sign up for 7-11 customer programs. He wanted me to give up my phone # for some promo, and I said no thanks. He did the same thing to everyone, and it was a little annoying. The store is very clean inside and out. I noticed people loitering outside, so lock your cars when you go inside the store. But, this is a great location for a 7-11. You have a business park nearby, surrounded by housing, and you're on the major street. I used to work in Union City, and this corner has been a vacant lot forever and ever. Why? Apparently, it took over 30 yrs to clean up the ground. The old gas station that was on this corner before had leaky underground fuel tanks. The lot wasn't cleaned up until 2019. this 7-11 is on a corner on Whipple slightly past the shopping center near the freeway. looks brand new. main feature is the gas station in front, limited parking in the front of the building. inside are typical beverage counters, self service slurpee machine, coffee, nitro cold brew coffee, ready to eat grilled/fried snacks, convenience store items, lotto tics. only booze is missing. drink: med nitro cold brew coffee (1.89) -self service in a plastic slurpee cup -coffee slightly harsh, may taste like real nitro coffee, haven't had it enough to judge how good it is. cheap it is. quality unknown. read more

One thing that really stands out about this store is how they box up the individual pizza slices as soon as the pizza is made instead of just sticking it under the heat lamp like the other stores do. The slices stay warm and fresh A LOT longer that way. Whereas at the other stores you get either a pizza that's not even ten minutes out of the oven or three or four slices that are dry enough that the tip starts curling up. Another huge bonus is not having to deal with imbeciles who try to pancake two slices in one box when you buy two, and dont understand enough English when you ask them to put a sheet of wax paper or a tissue in between to keep the slices from sticking together. read more

When this location first opened, it was great! Coffee was always ready to go, including the nitro and cold brew. The hot food actually seemed fresh and the store was very well up kept. Now the coffee is RARELY ready, all the options that we once had for coffee (ie syrups, creamers etc) are little or none at all. I do not recommend this place for the simple fact the manager velvie treats customers like shit . Always has Attitude with her potato looking ass. I've been there multiple times through out night and morning and for some reason I only have issues in the morning times when she works . I suggest corporate does something about this women . I also heard by a lot of employees that she doesn't know how to manage the store and she only gives hours to those she likes . read more

I don't know if others have horrible customer service experiences at this new 7-11, but I just dealt with the rudest cashier at this store. All I wanted to do was turn in my lottery tix so I could purchase a few more. I was not having any luck with the machine that reads the barcode on the tickets. There were no other customers in the store besides me and I asked the girl working if there was a problem with the ticket reader. She looks at me and rudely says "NO". So I told her I am having trouble reading my tickets and she tells me she's busy (she placed frozen chicken wings into an oven). So I stood there quietly until she was done and she walks over and I handed her my tickets (which totally disturbed her that she had to check them for me). She continued to be snotty to me through the entire interaction. I don't get it. I am a paying customer who was nothing but nice and she gave me nothing but a rude attitude. Use to love this place when it opened. NOW... rude ass cashiers. Accuse people of STEALING or excuse me, accuse people of "looking like people that steal" in their words. Caucasian man, black girl cashier and another girl cashier, talk like they don't got no sense or customer skills AT ALL. I don't care if someone "looks" like someone that stole from you.. there was no reason to tell someone that just to MAKE SURE. The staff here needs to be fired. This isn't over. My cousins and I went and payed using my Apple Card and the lady that was attending us said that my card declined.And she said it in a weird way.Then it didn't let me pay and therefore, we had to pay with my cousins money.
