Madewell is definitely funkier and edgier than J.Crew though. Their main focus is denim, which you can tell when you walk in by the awesome denim bar. The associates are super helpful explaining the fits and styles. There are also lots of really soft t-shirts and tank tops, as well as nicer tops and dresses. I really have a weakness for all of the accessories at Madewell! I love their scarves, jewelry, and bags!! I am so excited to have a Madewell so close! I used to go to the one on Newbury Street once in a while, but not anymore! I think this might be my new favorite store!!

Boots are great and it is December in New England, but they don't work with a suit at work, a wedding, etc. Sure you can order from the website, but you may need to order 5-10 pairs to find just the right one (and then schlep them all back to the store for a return). Did you know that 80% of the people who wear bras wear the wrong size? The woman who helped me and sized me and found me the perfect size and style, Diana, is AMAZING! I had no idea how off my size was and she fitted me with the proper size. When I tell you I felt like a new woman, I am not exaggerating. My tops looked instantly better, I got almost an inch of lift, and my posture was much better. It was a total game changer, and now I will be going every year to get sized and to purchase bras there. The prices for the bras are a bit $, but they are worth it. I will no longer buy cheap, ill-fitting bras after this experience. Diana was saying it is a good idea to get fit each year because your size can change over the years. She mentioned a year is a good rule of thumb because bras will start to wear as you wear them and wash them. She gave me proper instructions for washing and care.
