We made a stop here for some wine and to enjoy the beauty on Sunday, and it was an amazing time. We were seated right away and our server was Jenna. We tried a few different flights of wine and flat breads and enjoyed the beautiful view of the vineyard. The place is truly breathtaking, and at the time, they had live music playing outside. Jenna made some very good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. ::Caution:: I still gave this place 5 stars because this has nothing to do with the service or the quality of the food or location, but we were picturing a nice, calm brunch, sipping on wine, not a Chuck E Cheese experience. Apparently, we were upgraded to the deluxe Chuck E Cheese package and were seated around lots of parents who decided to bring their young kids to a vineyard. The kids were running wild around tables and crying and screaming. Not one parent corrected their kids' behavior and just let them run around like free-range chickens. There were also people complaining that there were no non alcoholic drinks that they wanted at a vineyard. When I went inside there seemed to be no kids indoors. While another group could not control their kids and kept knocking things off the table, including glasses of wine. No one seemed to mind outdoors because most of the people had young kids, so be warned that this may be a possibility, so research your days before you go. Overall, if you remove the kids running wild and crying, the service was fantastic, the wine was good, lots of parking, the ambiance was incredible, and the food was good. read more

We had such a blast at 7 Vines Vineyard in July even with just 20 minutes before closing! The staff was welcoming and didn't rush us, which we truly appreciated. The atmosphere was cozy and charming, and it was the perfect spot to unwind with a great glass of wine. We're already looking forward to coming back during the winter months (as long as they're open!) because this place just has that special vibe that makes you want to return again and again. read more

This winery is pretty and not far from white bear lake. We attended their anniversary and everyone got a free tote bag as a giveaway. Food trucks were there, couple of vendors, and also tastings of their wine for $12. The space is big, they had tables and chairs outside for anyone who wants to sit out in the sun. I was feeling cold and wanted to go inside. I purchased a pull pork sandwich from the Kowalski food truck and cup of red wine. My cousin went straight for the desserts. read more

We held an informal "bridal get-together" at 7 Vines Vineyard. This is an absolutely beautiful venue. There's plenty of places to sit outside and has views overlooking the lake. The outdoor seating is on a hillside that has gravel so if you're unsteady on your feet try and grab a spot at the top of the hill. There are stairs but there's still some incline on gravel without stairs. There is a ton of parking in the lot. We went on a Saturday and there was a food truck too. If you want guaranteed shade look into renting a Veranda! read more

A beautiful space, lots of options, and great wine! The location is picturesque, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. It appears they do take reservations here and I would recommend doing so, especially on the weekends. We grabbed a table inside, but we were right by the door, so there were always people kind of hanging around the table. We all tried different flights and had a cheese plate. It was so fun to be able to try a bunch of different things. Our server was quick and friendly. Would happily return! read more

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon trip to this winery. They're now open for lunch, so we were able to have a great start to date day. The Turkey Apple Sandwich was great and the Mushroom Flatbread was fantastic. We added red pepper flake to the flatbread to kick it up a notch. We will definitely be back for dinner and live music. We really enjoyed the Red Wine flight and the Winemaker's flight. Our favorite wines were the Gruner Veltliner and the Cab Sauv. read more

Came back with my family for the live music and to try out the food. The wine is still delicious but the food was overpriced and not that flavorful. The live music is outside and they have a bunch of tables set up on the front lawn. We made reservations and I'm glad we did because even for a Wednesday it was packed. We ordered all the flatbreads (margherita, prosciutto and Mediterranean) the blueberry salad and chicken salad sandwich. I was surprised to find out their flatbread is premade and you can't make any adjustments. I had wanted to order the prosciutto without goat cheese and was told by the server that since it was premade she could ask to have it taken off but no guarantees. Especially for $17 I would have expected more. I decided to order the margherita instead and it was meh. The mozzarella did not taste like fresh mozzarella and was almost a plastic-y texture. Flavor was very bland as well. Redeeming factor is that the service was really good. Our server was really nice and even though she was busy, did come back and check on us every now and then. read more

Went to their wine and snowshoe event! Highly recommend the event! They have bingo, snowshoeing, s'mores, mulled wine and a great wine and food selection. We got the grilled cheese, top notch! Charcuterie board was huge and had a large variety of items on it! The soup was a great pairing with the grilled cheese. Lastly we got the butternut squash flatbread with gluten free crust, so good! A wonderful example of "a beautiful building does not necessarily mean a beautiful experience". 7 Vines is one of those businesses that really can't decide on who they want to be. Do I want to be a winery? Do I want to be an event center? Do I want to be open to the public? Do I want to be private-only? Do I want people to actually buy our wines or do I want to try to apply Napa prices to Minnesota markets? It seems that management changes their mind on these questions on a weekly basis. I've been to 7 Vines many times since they've been in operation, and every single time its a different experience. When they first opened, it was an amazing experience! The tasting room actually did tastings! The prices were in line with market prices. Great ambiance, great interaction with the hosts, great overall experience. The next time I visited, was told they were no longer doing tastings, only "flights". Okay. I guess I'll do flights, but why call it a 'tasting room' if you're not doing tastings? Well, they changed the name to "Wine Bar" shortly after I brought this up. Okay fast forward a few years, hours are becoming erratic, inconsistent. You can't just "swing by" any longer for a glass of wine, you need to do a triangulation of their website calendar, Facebook posts, and a little glimmer of hope to get a slim peek at if they'll be open to the public or not that day. Okay, I guess I can work with this, but its a hit or a miss. Prices continue to increase. A single glass of Marquette is going for $10-$15, and got to the point to where we could no longer afford to buy a bottle on site since they were charging $45+ per bottle! Napa prices don't work in Minnesota, so they've effectively priced me out of buying their product which is truly unfortunate. Fast forward to today, they are no longer a winery with an event center, they are an event center that happens to also have a winery. Good luck getting in unless you're paying them to host an event, they are most always closed to the public. Can't visit them any longer since they're never open, can't buy any of their wines since they're so exorbitant. Don't get me wrong, the wines are good, they're just not THAT good to warrant taking out a small loan for a bottle. Maybe someday they'll return to actually being a public-friendly winery, but not holding my breath unfortunately. But the great news is there are plenty of other wineries in the area that will gladly host you! read more

Gosh, I wish I could have left a better review, but unfortunately, our experience was sub-par. Starting with the GREAT: our server was knowledgeable and very easy to talk to, the food was really tasty and is possibly the only thing drawing me back, the outdoor seating and the building are very nice. As far as the not so great: we made a reservation a few days in advance and were seated right inside the doorway at a low table that was realllyyy small for 5 adult guests and two infants with lounge chairs that seemed like a waiting area for a group waiting for a table or even a casual round of drinks versus full blown dinner. As expected, we really struggled to find room for the flights of wine, our dinner and any extra plates, glasses or even silverware. Unfortunately the manager didn't deal with the situation very well and responded to our concerns about being able to eat on that small of a space with "I didn't choose the furniture." Again, the food was delicious and it's unfortunate that we ran into a poor seating situation. I should also point out that the cab sav is $22 a glass and $75 a bottle. It was a great wine, but we didn't look closely at the price on the menu and were shocked at the bill so keep that in mind if you're a cab sav drinker! read more

Such a wonderful spot, and great wines!! I was out in the area picking up some artwork and I messaged a friend to meet me here, I'm so glad I did. First thing, the place is easy to find with plenty of parking! Second, the space inside and out is gorgeous! Fireplace with the Vikings game on (so bring your sports loving fans!!). We made reservations and I recommend you do as well! Third, but likely should be first is the wine. Some local grapes but others are imported. (Read: my type of wine I like). All of the staff is extremely knowledgeable and can point you to what you may like. I had a red flight and all were delicious. Forth = food! Delicious and pairs perfectly! Something for everyone. We went to 7 Vines to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday and it was a wonderful experience. From the food, to the wines, to the amazing service we had, it felt special and created a memorable day for her despite the restrictions to having any kind of normal birthday party due to COVID-19. First of all this is a truly beautiful space and the touches like the planters when you enter the front door, to the centerpieces on the table, the large bar, and amazing decor by the fireplace was unexpected (my first time). This would be a phenomenal place for a wedding or party honestly when things open up again! For our visit , the service was friendly and warm and added to the experience especially on this important day for us. We started with the Charcuterie tray and it was absolutely terrific!! Beautiful first of all, but tasty as well! Lots of variety, a beautiful "pear" made out of chevre cheese, and just delicious! We also each ordered a Flight to try some of their other wines and we found many we liked! We finished off with a cheesecake and flourless chocolate torte which were very good and a perfect way to end the meal. We paired that with the mulled wine...I don't even normally like mulled wine, but this was truly delicious! It was balanced to be not too sweet, and not too "spicy" and we all ended up buying their spice packet and bottle to recreate it at home for Christmas! To be honest I haven't always been a fan of local vineyards as I've found the wines to be too sweet and fruity. This is not the case with 7 Vines. The wines are very nice with rich notes and good balance. I ended up with a few bottles that I would very proudly serve to dinner guests and will go back again soon to try more of what they have to offer. We've been about a dozen times for evening wine and appetizers both during the week and on weekends. It never disappoints. Love the ample and varied outdoor seating. Also love the couches inside near the fireplace. Staff is always very friendly and responsive. Food menu is adequate. Highly recommend the margarita pizza and spinach artichoke dip. The grilled cheese is also very good. Wine prices seem standard. Food prices are a bit high, but you are paying for the atmosphere. They also have great live music. I kind of wish they allowed dogs so we could bring our dog (who is very good, you know). But... it would probably change the vibe for the worse, since some dogs (and dog owners) aren't as great in nicer social settings. read more

A SOLID 4.25 stars!!! A beautiful day for the perfect views of 7 Vines! We sat outside, and it was fabulous! The tables were spaced out well, and they made great use of the patio and the beautifully manicured lawn! There was a lovely guitar player for ambiance, and a fireplace throwing off a little needed warmth on the patio! There was inside seating as well, which looked very distanced! The bathrooms were lovely... is that weird to say that? But the addition of plants and lots of hand sanitizer makes for a happy visit!! The wine... should be the ringer for a vineyard! It was good. The 4 of us had different 3-wine flights... and we each had one of the three that we found really good. I'm sure we'll be back to try more.. but...?? The food!!! It was delicious! Prosciutto and pear flatbread, chipotle raspberry Brie, and cheese board... followed up by a twist on tiramisu! Very very good! I will be back for the food! Not very friendly. We sat outside near a fire pit. We slid a table over by the fire pit after spending considerable amount for wine and food. They came outside and told us to put the table back due to covid. There was nobody else outside. We wen't sure what their issue was. We slid the table back and ate on our laps. Later we saw a fire pit up closer to the restaurant. So we moved away from the fire that we were not allowed to have a table by. After eating with chairs only allowed, we went to a area that had a fire pit near the restaurant. We were told to leave that area as well. There was no one else near the fire pits, but they told us that snowshoers were coming later in the evening and we weren't allowed to sit near the empty fire pits. Also, I got my bill on my credit card bill and was overcharged. I will not be going back and neither will my friends. read more

Stunningly gorgeous winery. I just love both the inside and the outside of this winery. My very favorite I have been to in all of Minnesota. The wines were excellent also. My favorites were the Cabernet and the Rose'. They could stand to expand on the food selections because what I had was wonderful but would like to see more or at least let some food trucks visit. I know it is a winery but it would be nice if they could offer beer, liquor, or hard cider for those that don't like wine but with a group that does. read more

Great wine, great atmosphere, great food. Hands down one of the best vineyards I've ever been to. We did their full tour and tasting and it was great. Well worth the money. We got to see how their wine is made and stored then we had an actual tasting session. Our hostess had a vast knowledge on wine and answered everyone's questions. This vineyard is located in upper minneapolis and is close to the lake. It is BEAUTIFUL. They have an outside patio with an amazing view of the entire vineyard. 10/10 I would be happy to return with a bigger group next time I'm in town. read more
