We've had a great experience every time we visit Lake Monster. I love their beer selection and massive bonus that you can grab pizza next door.

I went here with my family when they were in town and we all loved it. They are dog and child friendly so it was lovely to see all the families and furry friends around enjoying tasty beers. If I recall, I got a berry seltzer/beer which was delicious. They also had board games which was an added bonus

This is a fun dog friendly, child friendly brewery. It was very busy when we stopped by for a beer before a soccer game. The bar tenders were friendly, quick and patient. The Lake monster theme is fun. There is quite a bit of seating inside and a large patio. You can order food from a place across the patio and they will deliver it right to you. The beer was good.

First time here and it's a very unique space. It has an open taproom with plenty of room. I had the stout and it had a great taste and hit the spot on a colder evening. Definitely want to back in the summer and sit outside and maybe visit some shops nearby.

A beautiful brewery for a sip outside! Seating underneath the beautiful moon adorned tower was a great way to end our evening in the early September. My partner and I each sampled one of their craft brews in a 12 oz pour and were able to escape after tip for just under $20 - pretty reasonable for a brewery. I had the lemonade ale and it was tart but still very easy drinking, definitely would get again. My partner got their "alt" beer and we enjoyed that one as well! We will definitely return as it was very quiet and nice this evening. Service was incredibly quick as we were the only ones in line, their appeared to be options to have bar snacks like popcorn and pretzels as well as the opportunity to order pizza table side from a nearby restaurant. The view was definitely the selling point and we spent plenty of time admiring it!

Nice little brewery if you are looking for a good IPA. Outside they have nice little fire pits to stay warm when its cold. Staff was nice

The raspberry sour wasn't very flavorful but the vibe was cute with the perfect fall weather!

Made it through the construction in the area to visit @lakemonsterbrewing. Besides the obvious awesome water tower that stands over the complex, the patio and brewery both provide plenty of seating and a welcoming space. I enjoyed four of their beers when I visited. Rare Species 2.0: A fun IPA with a ton of hops including Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, Pacific Sunrise, and Riwaka. I get tropical fruit with medium bitterness. All four hops provide a complex hop bill that makes every sip a different adventure. Sunk Cost DDH DIPA: A big Double IPA that was dry hopped with Comet and Cryo-Simcoe. Very fragrant with apricot and peaches on first smell and low pine coming in at the end. Dank, tropical, and bitter all at the same time. Apricot Gose: Well-balanced sea salt and coriander gose that brings a traditional mild tartness, with a medium-low sweetness from the apricot. When I visited it was some of the last bit on tap, and glad I got to try it. Very refreshing and my favorite of the four beers I tried. Bourbon Barrel Aged Black is Beautiful: Starting with the collaboration beer from across the world started by Weathered Souls to bring awareness to the injustices people of color face on a daily basis, Lake Monster Brewing barrel aged the beer in bourbon barrels to celebrate their 6th birthday. This big imperial stout gives off a roasted chocolate aroma with a vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate flavor. It rounded out the flight by providing a heavier malt bill in comparison to the others

First off - if you've had their canned beer from your local liquor store, the beer on tap is far better. The ambiance of the brewery is great. They have plenty of N/A options and snacks, plus great parking and games. The whole family, including doggo, will enjoy it here.

I thoroughly enjoyed stopping in to Lake Monster brewing over memorial day weekend. The space is in any more industrial area of Saint Paul but the brewery is very close to many other breweries in St. Paul. The brewery itself is quite nice; the entire indoor and outdoor space is dog friendly. They seem to thoroughly routinely have food trucks available and you are also welcome to bring your own food. I did a tasting flight of multiple beers all of which I thought were quite good. The bar staff has always been friendly whenever I've gone here and it is one of my more favorite breweries in the Twin Cities.

Another angle of the moon tower... I was pretty into it that night!

I stopped in on a late fall evening with a friend. Neither of us had been here before but another helper's review put it on my list. The outside seating area is a huge draw for all non-winter months. They maximize their space beautifully. Dog friendly both inside and out!! (Since there isn't a kitchen inside the brewery, only their host of rotating food trucks outside, on-leashed and well behaved dogs can be everywhere!) The staff were so fun to talk to and made excellent suggestions on our tastes. And the beer is legitimately delicious. Delicious enough to warrant the Uber over there. Can't wait to partake in their yoga and beer events. And to make Lake Monster a part of the brewery list to which I take all of my favorite people. They have sweet merch, too!

This was my second time coming here and absolutely love the building, beer and outdoor patio. Can't wait to come during the spring/summer months to enjoy the outside or building with doors open. I really like the artwork and they do a great job at giving you the MN feel. I have tried multiple beers and they have all been good, however I like the Hazy IPA the most. The parking lot is shared by numerous businesses, so you may have to search for a spot for a little bit but really worth it with the service and beer selections they offer. Dogs are definitely welcome.

My favorite! I use to have a studio in the building next door and spent a lot of my time at Lake Monster. Staff is super friendly.

GusGus is a staple in St.Paul! I try to come here often as I can because the food is just amazing…read more We ordered the Tuna crudo and beef tartare to start off. The tartare had so much flavor to it. It had a nice mussel aoilo that really brought it together. The crudo was great as well. Had a little spice to it but felt fresh to eat. Entree: we ordered the double cheeseburger and Poutine. Have no words to describe how amazing it was and I've tried burgers all over the twin cities. The patty was cooked medium/medium rare, with carmelized onions, pickles and mustard aioli. Every bite was so delicious and flavorful, how a burger should be. The poutine was also amazing! The cheese, gnocchi and ox tail was such a wonderful and unique combo. Dessert: we ordered the dark chocolate mousse cake. It was topped with whip cream and had a piece of chocolate on top. It was amazing! Chocolate wasn't too overly powering and the whip cream balanced it out. The service was great! Checked in how we were doing and asked if there was anything needed. We were seated at the bar, which was a little spacious, but could be cramped if there are others around. The ambience there was good! It is dim but still has enough light to look at the menu. Parking can be tough as well, but honestly the food makes up for it! I would highly recommend GusGus to anyone!

We'd heard the hype, so we had to check it out!! What I'll say off the bat, this restaurant…read moreobviously knows its shortfalls, as they are highlighted on the website, and mostly out of their control! I don't think it should stop you from going, but you should be aware before you go! Parking can be a challenge, but we found street parking about a block away. Give yourself time, have some patience, and maybe skip the high heels...they don't really match the aesthetic of this spot anyways ;) The interior is cozy and inviting: bustling service members catering to a full house of patrons in a color-drenched teal setting with adorable and whimsical wallpaper. It's absolutely a small spot, which they do their best to give you space but it's loud and can easily be overstimulating. Pair that with the warm summer months and it was uncomfortably hot in the space as well. I think I would have enjoyed this spot much more in the Fall or Winter when you're craving the comfy warmth of a crowded space. It was a bit awkward that there's no clear direction on a host stand or welcome area...you walk straight in to the restaurant and it's unclear what you're supposed to do or where you're to go. We aimlessly wandered around the restaurant looking for a host stand until some waitress said we are just supposed to wait by the door...This kinda set the tone for the service aspect of the restaurant. The servers were incredibly friendly, but I found the timing to be a bit off and the rhythm never really landed...we were waiting for our server often. The food was delicious! We started with the hand pie, chips and Speck, and poutine. All were incredibly flavorful, savory, and cooked wonderfully. The hand pie was the star for me...just a perfect package of umami goodness! The gravy on the poutine was delectable and they didn't skimp on the cheese! The fried gnocchi was a fun spin on the classic dish! Might have just been what we ordered, but I thought the whole meal was very salt-forward, which I appreciated but could see where others might not. Lastly, we had the famous Double Cheeseburger. Now, I'm hesitant to agree with others that it's the BEST burger in the Cities, but it is very good. No shortage of classic supporting characters: oozy gooey cheese, caramelized onions, and pickles. Definitely an "eat with fork and knife" style burger! Overall, a great spot for soul-filling comfort food! A few challenges that they can't overcome due to location and space, but a few kinks they can sort out on the service side would elevate this spot to the next level!
