We sat outside, which is a nice open space with complete shading. Our server was very attentive even though it is a much longer walk back and forth. This was a quick session with 4 dozen raw oysters, Corona Light on tap, and great company. They have a huge menu that would take a long time to sample. I recommend asking the locals and staff to help narrow down your choices. I personally recommend all of the raw bar options and the peel and eat shrimp. With the peel and eat, go with the warm/spiced option. They get it right with the Old Bay embedding itself deep in the shell. Grab a friend and check this place out.

The ambiance is wonderfully old Florida eclectic--a little quirky, a little laid-back, and full of character. It has that relaxed coastal vibe that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. It set the tone for a really enjoyable dining experience. For food, I had the blackened mahi mahi sandwich, which was fantastic. The fish was perfectly seasoned with a nice blackened crust, while still tender and flavorful inside. My partner ordered the paella, and it was excellent as well--rich, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. Overall, Muddy Waters delivers on all fronts: great atmosphere, outstanding service, and delicious food. It's the kind of spot that feels uniquely Floridian and definitely worth a visit if you're in the Deerfield Beach area.

My husband tried the steak again after several years and really enjoyed it this time. We also tried the Alaskan dessert, but it was just average. I'd recommend sticking with the chocolate cake or the s'mores instead. I ordered the salmon, which Josh recommended, and I'd give it an 8/10. It was good, but compared to the lamb shanks, I'd choose the lamb shanks again without hesitation! Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time to make getting a table much easier for your party.

I checked with the front host who made my reservation to ask if they have the item to which he said "oh, absolutely." Great, made the reservation and was immediately sat. Go to order the item and they have to check to see if they have it. They come back and said that they are not going to be carrying the item anymore, which seemed a little crazy to me as it is supposed to be in rotation for another month, but things happen. What really got me is that according to the host I never asked any questions about it. Said that we never discussed it, I never asked about it, and he doesn't know what I am talking about. This was less then 5 minutes after we had the conversation as I ended up not ordering and leaving. Although I was a little annoyed with the item not being there (things happen), I was more annoyed at the insistence that they had the brisket just to get me in the door, and then insisting that the conversation never happened. I had even told him when I asked that it was okay to say that he didn't know.

I always love it when a new restaurant opens in my Highlands County and this place debuted in…read moreNovember. It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.

Our server was very nice and conversational, however, I think she might have a habit for forgetting to do something unless she does it right away. Before finishing explaining the sauces with the shrimp crudite, we asked a question and she immediately went to go grab another dip and didn't finish explaining the sauces. I was disappointed in the bananas foster waffles. it said there was banana caramel, and then as a separate item, it said peanut butter maple. I asked probably 2 or 3 different times where the peanut butter maple was as i had gotten my toppings on the side after seeing an order that was drenched go past my table. the first answer i received was that it was the sauce i had in front of me. it was not. it was the caramel. the next time i asked, i was told that the peanut butter and caramel are the same sauce. again, no peanut butter flavor in the sauce. the peanut butter was the thing i was looking forward to the most on the waffle, and by the time she offered to just bring me peanut butter i was almost done with it. i will say that it is a very dense waffle and difficult to cut. i'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way, but i had to use some force to cut into what i thought was going to be a fluffy waffle. we had empty water glasses on our table for quite some time with multiple people passing before being refilled. it wasn't until more people cleared out that we were able to get more water. the cinnamon roll thing: a very nice gesture from the restaurant for birthdays. the cinnamon toast crunch on the outside was nice and crunchy, the caramel gelato between layers was smooth, but the roll itself is a different story. like the waffle, it was dense. not sure if that's because it's served cold but we will chalk it up to that, but the cream cheese frosting has chili and paprika in it! so while we were eating it, all of our throats starting to have a spicy burny feeling in the back. imagine red hots candy for flavor profile. we didn't find out until asking that it has the extra spice in it. just something to note, it might need to be added to server explanation that there is the added spicy element, as there are a lot of people who do not enjoy spicy foods. I stand by my previous reviews that Tigress is strictly a drinks and app place.

As vegetarians there were ZERO options on the limited menu. The server was super sweet and let us check out the buffet before deciding to stay or not. All the sides were vegetarian and the price of 24.99 each wasn't too bad, so we stayed. The buffet included ham, turkey, fried flounder as the mains, with sides of mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, carrots, mixes veggies, Mac and cheese, rolls, corn bread, coleslaw, and roasted potatoes. It also included a small salad bar and about 4 dessert options. There was also Easter candy scattered on the table and plastic eggs to open with treats inside-- making the lunch extra fun! As adults we never get to open easter eggs! We also enjoyed the live music. Five stars, but subtracted one for the lack of true vegetarian options with the limited menu. Thanks for making our day special!
