Beer, ciders and ale are good and fresh. Wide selection of craft (flavors) and traditional Brews. Dog-friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pub-style place with lots of group shared tables plus the bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside shaded patio is on a small pretty private plaza with artificial turf, benches, and flower beds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom is kept nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] they don't have food but food trucks are often close by and both a deli and a wine bar are Nextdoor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Live music Friday and Saturday. Trivia on thursdays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bartenders are knowledgable, friendly and they try hard to please. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lot of locals hang out here, along with visitors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is only one drawback. The Owner is prickly. You can be an excellent steady customer for years and still be treated with suspicion. Fortunately he doesn't deal with customers often so he shouldn't ruin your Visit. The brewery and wine bar are both for sale.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is very laid back here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a part of Journal Plaza and a great venue for live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bar staff was courteous even though I bought a water and a Cane Cola for my daughter and I. He even threw in a "God bless!" I'd imagine the food is good. But what really drew us here is the band. I'd heard great things about the Walker Smith band and they're exceptionally talented especially the keys/slide guitar player. We'll be coming back!

I went to Wet Dogs Brewing with my husband to check it out on our visit to the Lake Placid area. Neat little spot. The bartender was nice and gave us great service! My husband and I both ordered a couple of flights, so we could try most of their beers on tap. We both agreed that they had a great selection of craft beers on tap. I also liked how there was light, tasteful music playing in the background. I loved their dog decor and theme for their brewery. For seating, there were wooden tables and chairs along with a nice wooden crafted bar with stools. I noticed that they had an area for a band, which intrigued me and my husband, and we can't wait to come back sometime when they have live music playing. Overall, great experience!! Definitely recommend checking out!!

This is a must-stop for beer lovers in this area. The beers are carefully crafted and imaginative. My favorite after two visits is the Caramel Corn Dog Cream Ale. I ordered it as a joke as part of my flight but then had to take a growler of it with me. There always seems to be great live music playing and food from a food truck or, earlier in the day, from Morty's Deli next door. It's a great amenity that is breathing a lot of life into this formerly sleepy little downtown.

Awesome spot right in Journal Plaza. They brew 18 of their own varieties as well as offer a awesome selection of craft beers from all over the country. They are also branching out and opening a business called Wine Down. Great little spot with a nice outside patio

Charming brewery in Lake Placid, FL that was easily one of the highlights of our visit to this city. The Owner is a dog person, and his cute logo is actually from a picture of one of his dogs. The bar is loosely based on the British pub model; there is no table service, you go up to either the counter or the bar to place your beverage order, and then grab an available table. There is no food served, but there is a different food truck outside every day, and you are welcome to bring in your own food from any nearby restaurant. Many beers served are made in-house, but as I am not a beer person, I tried a couple of different ciders. The first was Blake's Strawberry Lemonade Hard Cider, which was light and refreshing. The second was Swilled Dog Sangria Hard Cider, which was a bit stronger, and a bit heavier, but still delicious. We happened to be there on a Thursday night, which is Trivia Night, so team Tampa Terrors entered, but sadly was 5th out of 8 teams after the first round. Wet Dogs Brewing is a fun, chill bar and I highly recommend a visit and a tour of the brewery if you're in the area!

Nicely done murals to gaze at while quaffing great beers!

Whoa! A new microbrewery in Orlando might not be a big deal but a new one in teeny tiny Lake Placid is a VERY BIG DEAL! Yelp clued me in to its existence, so I drove down to check it out. Atmosphere- It's a small place but big enough to have live entertainment on the weekends. Beautifully finished bar tops and electronic boards updated with the latest offerings. A genuinely nice outside patio. Check out the murals! Service- Not a problem at all. The owner was on-site and a delight to chat with. Beers- Lots of choices with great descriptions. A pint went for about $6. Some of the higher ABV brews were served as 8 Oz and about the same price. I was very pleased. Food- The business model here is a food truck out by the patio that changes often. Check social media to see what's what. Yesterday there were some folks doing wood-fired pizza from a food truck! The pizza looked incredible, but I was stuffed from a previous meal, so I just stared in envy! If you are a craft beer aficionado, this would be a great place to quaff a few!

While ending the evening my friend and I were passing through town and made this place our last stop. They offer samples and beer flights of your choice. We grabbed two beers and enjoyed the the heavenly songs from the live music they had. Jamie Tremps has an amazing voice, she touched my soul. I had an Irish red rover beer . The atmosphere was chill and positive. Can't wait to go back.

This place has it all! Location, friendly and awesome beer! We were passing through and stopped to have a beer. Everything is brewed on site and there is no shortage of selection. This is a must do if you're in the area and love beer!

Great little brewery in Lake Placid. Had 4 housemate beers and many guest taps. Had the IPA which was a decent west coast ipa. Had the blonde ale aged in charred oak barrels and it was amazing. Owner was super nice and you were able to sit and drink at the taproom if you brought food in. Will be a nice place to hang out once this Covid mess is done with.

Before I start the review I have a fun fact to share. Before I visited Pateidolia Brewing in Vero…read moreBeach Florida, I looked at some pictures and read some reviews. I don't usually read the reviews for breweries because I want to give an honest review based on my experience. But what drew me in is all the pictures of the draft board seemed out of focus and weirdly lit. I chalked that up to maybe not cleaning off the camera lense before taking the pictures, but what I found was quite the opposite. When I took my picure I also couldn't get a good shot. A little blurry and maybe slightly out if focus. And what I found is the place is fairly dark inside until your eyes get acclaimatted. And the way they have the menu board lit, there is a glare which makes all the photos of the beer menu board come out weird. I took multiple photos and finally settle on the best one, but it also wasn't great. So onto the review. It is small inside and has outiside seating. But what they lack in size, they make up in personality. Pareidolia is a little brewery with a big personality to match the name. Got to connect with the beertenders on duty Les and Kelly. Sorry guys if I misspelled your names, but you guys were awesome. I kept calling them Mel and Stacy, no reason why, but I did finally learn their names about the same time as I really started loving their wonderful beer. And another fun fact is their brewer is a lady. I am very partial to women who brew beer, because I feel like they do something a little extra that men don't. But that is a feeling or my own personal bias. So there is that. They have food here, but the food seemed more like an afterthought or a remnant of Covid where you had to have food at your brewery just to survive. We tried the Hawaiian flat bread. It was closer to frozen pizza with some extra toppings. But didn't come here to eat, and the beer was so great it over ruled any issues I might have had with the food. The BEER: 32956 Zip Code Hazt IPA 6.7% ABV... this has layers and they are all delicious Citra Surfer Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV... I really like this... clean and awesome Half Buzzed Hybrid Session IPA 5% ABV... I am not a fan of West Coast hops, I got a lot of grapefruit rind and a little dank happiness Chippy Throwdown Irish Red 5.2% ABV... I can so taste the rye and am loving how smooth it is Seeing Things ESB 5.6% ABV... easy drinking and crushable, a good English Special Bitter Slow Paddle Porter 5.2% ABV... it was a Porter Mermaid Belgian Blonde 5.6% ABV... Belgian, slightly hop forward, this is not light, it has layers of flavor and is just a tad boozy On my trip to Vero Beach I tried four breweries. Pareidolla was my first visit and I can honestly say it was the best. The beer was awesome. Next time I return it will be my first stop.

Stopped in after a long run and this place treated me way better than I deserved…read more I started with a Coastal Crush Blonde Ale, which is basically Florida in a glass. Light, smooth, a touch of pineapple, and dangerously easy to drink. After that I grabbed an Unruly Amber Ale. That one hit me with toasted malt, a little caramel, and enough bite to wake up my taste buds. Solid beer. No notes. For food I went with the Smokey Black Bean panini and wow it surprised me. Smokey, a little spicy, and packed with flavor. The chipotle ranch ties the whole thing together. Plus they give you hummus and chips on the side, so you feel like you're snacking and eating a whole meal at the same time. Win. The vibe here is great. Indoor seating, outdoor seating, people just chilling, dogs hanging out, locals talking like everyone knows everyone. Super easy to relax here. Overall, Pareidolia just gets it. Good beer, good food, friendly service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer than you planned. Definitely coming back.

It's located in an Industrial area with a strip mall like vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and window near some of the indoor seating where you can see the brewery itself. Lastly they also had a food truck there the night that we visited but we had already eaten prior to visiting. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Scotty's that consists of 4 pours and I chose the creamsicle fruited ale, pineapple pale ale, double IPA and Hazy IPA. I started off with the Creamsicle fruited ale which had a slight sourness on the nose and a light taste of orange which was pleasant before a clean finish. Second was the Pineapple pale ale which smelled a little of pineapple and starts off with a bit of sweetness from the fruit before ending in the hoppy flavor of a pale ale. Up third was the Hazy IPA which had a nose full of hops. It was a nice beer though with a big juicy flavor and a clean finish. Last but certainly not least was the double IPA. It started off with a bit of sweetness and I kept waiting for the hops to hit but they didn't in the way I was expecting. On my second sip I was able to taste them but would liken them to a bass note in the background which was actually sort of nice. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Scotty's had a nice sized beer list and I liked what I tried and would be interested in trying some more as well.
