Are they a real business? They serve food before hockey games. Seems fishy. They have lot of TV's and decent atmosphere--almost like Utica's best sports bar--that's open ten days a year. Wow, the team of servers lead by a controlling hostess (manager?) were just an unorganized hot mess. Stopped in because it sounded like a great place with a great menu. Unfortunately the previous one-star review was spot on (see review by Ric S). It was pretty empty but a hockey game was about to get out. Lots of servers on standby-by, which is a plus. However, we had to hear about who was going on break, where tables were open, and why people needed reservations before the hostess took us to our table. Could you seat us first and do that afterwards? 5 minutes of our lives we'll never get back. At the high-top table, near the end of the bar and near the entrance to the kitchen we got to hear the hostess call a huddle and talk loudly to all of the servers about some green napkins. We looked over the menu, which does not match what is online (I was hoping for an avocado belly burger, but nope, not on the menu) and it is your standard sports cafeteria or chain sports bar fare (see photos). A server did come by and take our drink order but never came back. There was a bar tender at the bar, but because it was slow maybe she was doing other things, we did not see anyone make our drinks. Looking around while waiting for the drinks there are plenty of TVs but instead of a variety of sports there were several showing the same soccer or basketball games, with one showing the hockey game. I would have liked to watch any baseball since spring training has finally begun. I would have asked if our server had come back but... instead I looked at the lights on the ceiling which were pretty cool (photo does not do them justice). I was watching our server at a kiosk next to the bar, looking thoughtful and I assumed she must be new and is having difficulty entering our drink order. At the 20 minute mark we had no drinks, had not placed a food order, saw no baseball, but knew which servers needed a break and why people need to make reservations (insert eye roll here), so we flagged down our server who was next to the bar and said cancel our order. She looked shocked and said, "Oh, but your drinks are right here!" Seriously??? How long was she going to wait before bringing them over? Did I mention it was not busy? We left, never to return. If you've read this far, thank you! And the amount of time you took to read this should be all you spend on this place. read more

The place is very large with TV screens all over. Miranda provided very good service. This now made it into my Top 5 (almost Top 3) for lunch places in the Utica area. Now for the food - WOW, WOW, WOW Folks hate to say it but I was overwhelmed - Belly Burger $13 - 8 oz beef / bacon / change for me to pepper jack / onion rings / heirloom tomato / Kook's special sauce and their French Fries - to die for. The only thing, the burger came out rare ordered medium however, I now go by taste and not how the food was cooked (but as a heads up to those that do go by color) and it tasted fantastic - cooked shall we say perfectly. Sliders & Tots $12. BRISKET: caramelized onions / sautéed peppers / Kook's special sauce and was enjoyed by a member of our party. Tots - oh, oh so very good no great. Note to management - I know offer & Mixed version - as your side Basket half with Tots & Half with Fries - Extra Yummy! Spouse ordered Chopped Cobb $13. marinated chicken / bacon / hard-boiled egg / avocado /tomato / bleu cheese / romaine / peppercorn dressing with leftovers so large a portion and she enjoyed every bite. Cali Club Wrap $11. sliced turkey / bacon / avocado smash / lettuce / tomato /homemade vinaigrette / white wrap also very good. I will start this as I always do by saying I don't give five stars unless I am really blown away. This is a great spot for catching a game. It is attached to the AUD so if you are catching a Hockey game stop in here first. They have a huge awesome TV is the Conner to the left of the bar and many others around the bar. I came in for a late lunch so it was mostly empty but by the time I left some bar flys were rolling in. I got the Cobb salad. It was huge and fresh. It was also very tasty. Maybe a little heavy on the blue cheese but that is just my opinion. Staff was very friendly and seemed like they really liked being there. Overall I thought it was worth the stop would like to spend some more time here but it will probably only ever be a lunch place for me. read more

Drove an hour here , the menu online looked amazing, when we got here it looked completely different, plain, boring, and a carbon copy of every other "chain sports bar". Service was below par. Mixed reviews on the food, My wife got the chicken riggies, it was the worst chicken riggies ever, it smelled and tasted like canned ravioli, I got the Napa burger, not the worst thing ever. We did like the trash can nachos but not the chicken tortilla soup. Tried ordering the donut holes but they were unavailable and according to our waitress " a secret". Went on a Comets game night just before the game. No reservation needed and got right in. It was not packed. Family of 4. Ordered nachos app - was great. Other meals: wife's burger bun was charred black on the underside and burger way over done. Buffalo chicken wrap was small and disappointing: pre packaged grilled chicken, too much lettuce, and wrap was dried out (old). Philly cheesesteak was ok, nothing special about it. Fries are definitely good. Service was bad - waitress inattentive, and slow especially given that it was not busy. Almost entire meal eaten before she checked back on us. Needed refills on drinks and she was nowhere to be found. Place has gone waaay down hill from what it once was. Menu was limited, but understand it was a game day. read more

New fav sports bar in downtown Utica! It's so spacious and there's so many TVs, high top tables and huge booths for larger parties! The menu is on point. I got the Ahi Tuna salad and added grilled shrimp. OMG it was so delicious! My friend got a burger and he liked it. The bill was $36 something... can't beat it! Waitstaff is fast and friendly. Finally checked out the place outside of the arena with one of my favorite groups. Deco wise is 5 stars as it is new, clean, and spacious. Food wise, average. At least my 72 burger was and my boyfriend's belly burger. The burger was 8oz beef, goat cheese, and fig jam. The first several bites were dreadful because the burger itself was not seasoned and I did not taste much flavor. The goat cheese itself does not provide much flavor. The burger was a bit dry as well. However, got into it the burger did taste better when the fig jam hit everything. It is a good sports bar that is attached to the Adirondack Sports Center. I ended up having the seasonal Saranac beer which was Blueberry Blond. The beer was delicious but the beer does not have to do with this sports bar. I had wings with the special sauce, which is a sort of sweet and spicy sauce, and the steak hoggie. The wings were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The steak hoggie had thick cut steak, peppers, onions, on garlic bread. Again, the steak hoggie was delicious. The atmosphere was like any other modern sports bar. Multiple televisions all of which had a different game or sport on it. All in all it was a pleasant experience. read more

Rude service from the beginning. Appetizers were good. Then got our food and the chicken was frozen in the middle. Sent it back and the manager came back to argue that it was cooked but a little cold. It was frozen with crystals... Then offered to get me something else and went for a dessert (to avoid more uncooked meat). When the bill came it had only the dessert for free. Pointed that out and they switched to covering the chicken but not the dessert. We dine out a lot and everyone always owns the mistake and fixes it. This was ridiculous. Traveling through the culinary wasteland that is the NY Thruway, we were fortunate enough to stumble on this Utica sports bar attached to the local auditorium. Didn't look special - but looks can be deceiving. I had a delicious Grassfed Avocado burger - and my wife and daughter both had salads off of the broad menu. It was quiet (as might be expected) at 230 on a weekday but clean with good waitstaff. Ample bar rounds out the meal. Worth a stop in Utica! read more

Stopped in on a road trip! The nachos were delicious. Every chip was full of cheese. The wings with house sauce were delicious. Flatbread pizza was excellent, the tuna burger tasted fresh and flavorful. The filet was tasty, the asparagus was full of flavor: the wait staff went above and beyond to please my picky eater son. One of the best burgers I had I quite a while! Fried also were excellent. Son had their pizza and was throughly pleased. Great and friendly service. I was actually served a regular burger and not a Napa burger. I bit into it before I realized. I didn't care because it was so good but they still made me and sent me home with the Napa burger at no charge ... that's service! Good sports themed bar and grill. We had never been here before but were happy with our first trip. Typical bar and grill with plenty of TV screens tuned in to sports. Draft beer selection was decent as well. I had a burger and it was very good; my wife had mussels and said they were great. The only lack was the service from ordering to when our meals came was a little slow. It wasn't too busy, so that was a little disappointing. Overall a good meal, just wish the service was a little quicker. read more

If you're hoping for a quick bite, good food and outstanding service this is not the place for you. The night started off with a minty mixed drink that was actually quite incredible. However when it came to food my table ordered 2 burgers, on a Tuesday night, which was not busy and it took approximately an hour just to get the food! Then when the burgers finally came they weren't all that great: they were cooked as expected and nice and juicy however there was hardly any flavor to them. The last straw was after the waitress took my card she came back and asked for my card again. She had lost it! Fortunately later after they closed they found the card and I was able to drive over to retrieve it and she was very kind about it. Went here Thursday night for dinner. Hubby and I had burgers which were cooked perfectly. I had the Belly Burger and the sauce was delicious on it. I had a frozen Mud Slide which I could actually taste the alcohol in, so it didn't just taste like a milk shake like some places do it. Plenty of TV's from every angle.
