These flight-nights are one-off events and the items aren't normally on the menu, so if you see one that looks extra appealing, get yourself there! The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed.
