The location - In the summer you can walk to nearly everything downtown has to offer - Voinovich park is right down 9th and was my favorite place to enjoy good weather. In the winter you a steps away from playhouse, and E 4th street and the stadiums - I'll miss not having to get in my car for days at a time. The staff - I can't even begin to describe how amazing the staff are and the high standard they hold themselves too. The front desk, security guards, maintenance, cleaning staff, everyone treats the residents just as if they were a high end patron of the hotel. One example I will always smile about - after 4 years we had some trouble with a washer - we put in a request - an hour later maintenance was there who found an issue that likely wasn't a quick fix - within another hour we had a new washer in it's place. Over 4 years I can attest that this was the norm of how this place operates, and I don't know anywhere else downtown where you will find this type of stress free living. The apartments - the quality and luxury of these apartments is just amazing. Everything is high end, appliances, cabinets, counters, windows, paint, even the door hinges were lush. The sound deadening in this apartment is a work of art in it's own - I'm not exaggerating when I say you could set off fireworks in your apartment and not wake you neighbor - in fact you may forget you have any until you pass them on the elevator. As you enter the front door you're transported to an amazing 5 star boutique hotel atmosphere complete with a cozy lobby, fireplace, and floor to ceiling windows. The luxury continues into the apartments as they feature beautiful woods, granite countertops, ceramic floors, high ceilings, built-in dimmable accent lighting, in-suite laundry, walk-in closets, and absolutely stunning bathrooms. All this beauty comes with every possible amenity as well: valet parking, concierge, Betts fine dining with outdoor seating and 24 hour room service, package delivery, a fitness center, and beautiful city views. The Schofield is located in the center of downtown and is within easy walking distance of everything. Progressive Field is 5 minutes away, The Q 4 minutes away, Playhouse Square 4 minutes away, and Browns Stadium 19 minutes. There's also abundant restaurants, shopping, nightlife, Tower City, multiple gyms, yoga studios, and endless sights all within a few minutes. The building is very secure and the staff of The Schofield takes it's residents' safety very seriously. The side entrance can only be accessed with a resident key fob and provides discreet entrance to your apartment should you want to avoid the people and pageantry of the front lobby entrance--something most properties simply do not offer and an absolute must for me. The elevators are key fob activated as well so there's never any worry about safety in your apartment. The walls are heavily insulated so it's always nice and quiet. If it gets TOO quiet you can even open the windows and listen to the hustle and bustle of the city. The property manager Marcie Gilmore is world-class in every way and is the ultimate professional. She's extremely knowledgeable, doesn't miss a single detail, is attentive, prompt, and handles everything in a timely manner. What stands out the most though about Marcie is that she does everything she says she's going to do and does it when she says--all while genuinely caring for the property and the residents. Whether you need a spare key dropped off at the front desk for a friend, need a hotel room scheduled in the building, or even if you need someone to check on your kitty cat she's there to help and is the best in the business. We couldn't be more grateful. We toured 9 different places and the Leader has it all. Security was very important and they have security guard onsite which many other places advertise but is not the case. The apartments square ft for the price is the best. Centrally located and in walking distance to all the sporting venues.

Given what I pay and the structural/facility issues, its not worth it. I'm pretty easy going and an understanding person and make good money, but that being said I can't recommend anyone moving in to the Leader Building given the elevator situation. It's honestly unsafe. I have a young child (4 years old) and am worried daily about us getting stuck in the elevator (we live on the 10+ floor), and tenants get stuck in there at least monthly, if not, weekly. To pay roughly $2k/month and have insufficient elevators makes you question why you're living there. Not to mention the property manager has turned over twice in the last two years and there's been a diminishing amount of communication from them. We don't hear when elevators are down or there's other issues with the building. This is all in tandem with the cleaning staff turning over and the building having some trash when you walk in and spills on floors when there hadn't been any in the past. Do yourself a favor and look into the CityClub, Beacon, Standard, Intro, etc, you may pay a little more but there's better amendities, they're newer and I'm sure they keep them more cleanly.

Avoid this place. At all costs. There are far better options downtown…read more I've been a long-time resident here. Honestly, it's a fairly nice place and it really does have some great qualities. Unfortunately, there has been a change in management and this has resulted in far more problems for residents. All of those positive reviews below me are from when the previous manager was here, and I think they're no longer accurate. The new management is happy to nickel and dime you over and over again while providing no help or solutions when you bring up concerns. Problems have included not protecting paid parking spaces for residents, not completing maintenance orders, and staff leaving. I recently moved within the building, and management refused to honor the terms I agreed to with the previous manager. They refused to even reach out to him which is just rude. They didn't communicate with the cleaning staff on my move in date, so they were unable to clean the place before I moved in. All of these concerns are met with apologies and deflection of blame. They never admit mistakes or offer a solution, even when it is suggested.

Wow, Worthington Yards is a treasure. It may be the most beautiful residential building in all of downtown Cleveland, located in the center of the Warehouse District! Walking in, you're immediately captivated by the huge ceilings, museum-worthy art, and immediate feelings of trendiness. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago this building was a vacant warehouse of wasted opportunity. Yes, it is very expensive. But you are definitely paying for those extra amenities - like the gorgeous indoor courtyard, amazing common areas to work or throw parties, on-site dog park(!!!) and art gallery, several things that you just don't see in an urban apartment. The building is immaculate, feels safe, and is walking distance from a lot of great amenities like Constantino's Market. Bear loves living here! She gave me a tour of the building so here are my thoughts. These apartments are categorized as Luxury Apartments. From a VISITORS stand point -- These are nice apartments on the east side of Cleveland. They are within close proximity to Case Western Reserve University, CWRU Law School, Cleveland Clinic main hospital, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall (where the Cleveland Orchestra performs), Wade Oval, and of course, the University Circle neighbourhood. The apartment building is huge with many floors. My friend's 1 bedroom apartment itself is small for the average American, at around 700 square feet (my estimated guess) but I find this to be a perfect size since I like small spaces. Her 1 bedroom apartment has a big bathroom, open concept kitchen with a counter top and option to add bar chairs which she added, a living room space with an attached balcony, and a modern fridge that dispenses water. For the common areas -- the lobby is inviting with comfortable chairs, the gym is clean and has plenty standard equipment, the sauna is spacious (I think there are 2 saunas). I got to use the gym in the morning with my friend before we both started work. At the gym, I enjoyed using the stair climber machine and weights. We didn't have time to use the sauna. There is a garage for residents to use at an extra cost. VISITOR PARKING (FREE) -- I don't know what the apartment offers for visitor parking but my friend told me to park at the PNC Bank parking lot on Deering Ave., after hours. Parking was free. I visited during a weekday morning after 7am when there was no one in the parking lot, except maybe 1 car. From a RESIDENTS standpoint -- My friend enjoys living at One University Circle in the 1 bedroom apartment that she shares with her boyfriend who is a doctor at Cleveland Clinic. She told me she has had no complaints except when it took a little while for maintenance to fix something in her bathroom at some point in time. COST -- As of July 2026, a one bedroom unit starts at over $2500 and a studio unit starts at over $1800. Depending on the floor plan, the cost will vary. My friend lives on a high floor unit so her rent is more expensive than those who live on lower floors but cost is relative. For me, I would say that all units (whether top or bottom floor) are expensive and I wouldn't pay that much for rent because I would rather buy a house at that point. Depending on your income though and what you are willing to spend your money on, then you may or may not find living here expensive especially given the amenities that the building offers. Of course, we all know that owning a home makes more economic sense because that tends to be less expensive than renting but I digress. Visit their website to view rent prices. Nice carpeted floors (soft and new) Furniture nice and stylish Excellent cleaning staff that came once a week to clean the apartment. Pricing is the best for downtown. Believe me, I checked dozens of locations. Location is excellent in downtown with ease to walk anywhere quickly and easily. Front door-man on evenings does help with a feeling of safety. Cons: Staff was different every time I booked a stay or was living there. So no one really went overboard to help with anything as they knew they would be leaving soon. Our thermostat would not work EVER. I left one weekend in August for business and when I came back the AC was on 95 and blowing heat continuously. They came in multiple times both years to fix but I had to manually fix thermostat multiple times a day. No secure parking. Our car was broken into twice in the lot across the street that they rent to residents. Both times I asked for video footage and they said the cameras do not really work and they would not offer any compensation for the large sums of money I had to pay out for insurance to fix my windows, car doors and new seats and carpet. Will definitely consider going back as location and amenities were the best in downtown.

The garage has some rather narrow driving and spots too. Reminds me of the parking garages in Germany. The apartment complex here is in a decent location and the layout is much more spacious than a hotel for sure. The rental unit was on the 5th floor. The building is quite big and expansive. Takes about 5-7 minute walk from the garage to the residences and stairs and elevators are on the opposite ends of the garage and the entrance to the apartment. Entry in and out of the garage and into the building complex from the garage requires a white key card. There are lock boxes at the main ramp by the exit or by the rail to the locked doors to the apartment building. The rental unit had two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, kitchen and lot area. The floors had big scratches and gouges out of it and the beds were foam and not super comfortable. The pillows were so flat and lacked any support for your head at all. The bathroom light bulb was out and made it fun for showering. There was no coffee maker at all. Odd there were men's pads and surface pads or mats in the bathroom, how random. The towels were thin and hardly soaked up much of anything at all.
