I tried to like this place (I even gave it 5 stars on Google) but since then, every time I go, it's been a terrible experience. Issues: - the last time I dropped off my car, it took days for me to get it back. I was promised the car would be fixed but the times kept getting delayed. I called back a day later to inquire and it appeared to not even have been looked at. - The older gentleman who works there in the morning was incredibly RUDE when I gently asked if they were open. I told him I saw the Google time online and he replied with a nasty old-man attitude "what website?!" get a grip. Also, please update your Google directory if you're not even open at the hours listed. - it's virtually impossible to get in, let alone find parking. You have to double park and cause traffic by congesting the road. - discriminative? Not sure. I feel I also may have been overcharged as I am a young female and assume I don't know any better. Try 3rd Ave Auto Corp. the people there are welcoming, unlike this place. This place was an epic fail. read more

Normally get my car serviced closer to the office, but now that we are in the post-COVID world, I had to find a shop close to home. Went to 75 St once for my auto inspection, which was very straightforward and charged the standard $37 fee (not inflated like other shops in BK). Then came back again a few weeks later for my oil and transmission fluid change. Pricing was fair and work looks good. Overall, will probably be using this shop more often now. Pretty reliable. Only challenge is that I tried to set an appointment a few times, but the 'appointments' are not really honored. Seems like it is more of a first come first serve kind of place. I was able to bring my car by early afternoon and got my car back by the end of the day, which worked for my scheduling. read more

Straight Shooters. Fair and Fast. INSPECTION Went in for a N.Y. state inspection. Straight forward process. Paid the normal 37 bucks as per NY state law. CUSTOMER SERVICE Tony is a cool dude. Went to this place after being a non-driver for my almost entire time in BayRidge. Finally got a car on the road and I knew my Craig's List special, 1998 Hyundai Accent with 84,000 miles, would need to have a few bucks thrown at it. Asked on a Facebook group for the best mechanic in Bay Ridge and this place, only two blocks from my house was mentioned three times. Told Tommy what I wanted, and even though it is Good Friday, 10 in the morning and the garage looked packed, he was able to help me. He called me within an hour and told me a prognosis, and even told me stuff that I will need to do in the future. The two things I asked for was coupled with a needed axel, and even though he said I could wait a bit, I decided to get it done today. The work was done quickly and the price was reasonable and exactly what he quoted over the phone. I appreciate that he obviously is looking to get into a relationship with his customers, and having an 18-year-old car, albeit, with low mileage, I am very glad to have a local guy who is honest and lays out exactly what they replaced in front of you. I will be back to this place, I am sure, for both maintenance and catastrophes. Hopefully, I can get a few good years out of my hoopty, with a good mechanic nearby, like this place, I expect that to be that much easier. read more

All the comments are true. I was very surprised they still give good deals and with great customer services. I told them my car had a lot of problems and didn't want to fix them and just to fix two things and they didn't try to upsell me or push me to buy any services I didn't ask for. This is my second time going to this place and quite frankly, I'm shocked at their high ratings. The first time it was for a minor issue. Told me it would take an hour and 6 hours later it was done. Found my car double parked on the rode with the engine on, windows down, a/c blasting and key in car!! Very reckless considering the price of gas!! Today I took the car for a 10:00 appt. The issue was that when I press the start button the car doesn't turn on immediately. At 1:00 I didn't hear any updates from them so I called. The receptionist (sweet girl) said "my guy just came back from lunch and he's going to look at it." Okay, what to do? I call back close to 4 pm 2X, no answer. Call again and I get put on hold and the owner answers. He says "I just checked it and it turned on the 2nd try so it COULD BE THE STARTER"!! Are you kidding me? 6 hours to tell me IT COULD BE THE STARTER?? I could've found that out with a simple GOOGLE SEARCH. Then I dare to ask him why it took them so long to diagnose it and he says "are you questioning me" ?,, very aggressively. I'm shocked because he was so sweet when I dropped off the car. You're damn right I'm questioning you!! It's my car and my wasted six hours. Then he breaks down the price and says $167 for labor. I question the labor cost since last time it was $100. He had an issue with that as well. Then he started raising his voice (phone was on speaker and my son heard the whole thing) and said "Okay, I had it for 6 hours and you owe me $600 for labor." I said "how, if when I called the receptionist at1:30 she said "my guy just came back from lunch." Then he basically refused to work on my car at all because his male ego was shattered because how dare I question why I had a 10:00 appt if they only started checking it at 4;00 and why the labor cost was so high. Basically, I was forced to pick up my car after they kept it for 6 hours without having it fixed. I'd rather go to the dealership and pay more than deal with such childish and unprofessional behavior from a grown man towards a single mom in front of her son. I will never go back and or ever recommend this place if it was the last mechanic shop on earth!! read more

I have been drive for over 10 years and have been looking for "THE" auto shop to bring my car, and I believe I have found the place. They open early, very friendly and approachable, and reasonably priced. I dropped my car off in the morning on my way to work. I went in for an inspection, oil change, filter change, brake check, guard rail adjustment (someone bumped my car and the rail guard shifted), and to replace the engine splash cover underneath the car. The owner Tommy called me during lunch and gave me a status update and asked if I needed any additional work done. When I went to pick up my car we went over the bill and they only changed me for filter change, inspection, and oil change. They adjust my rail guard and fixed the engine splash cover for free! The didn't just duck tape and zip-tie the splash cover they actually used screws! They have amazing service and I will definitely come back. read more
