What the heck do I do? I did a search on Yelp and found 89th street auto diagnostics. I called the shop and spoke with Chris. He said his shop is very busy but he will fix my issue. A few days later, he fixed the car and explained what happened. I felt he was the only honest mechanic in Brooklyn. He also pointed out my Jeep needs another part to repair. Despite that, I was strongly encouraged by sales person who I have been working with for many years to apply through Honda Financial Services instead. He stated that I would get a better interest rate. I was told my car needed to be Honda Certified in order to move forward with that financing, which required nearly $2,000 worth of repairs. After more than eight hours at the dealership, I was finally told that the Honda Financial Services loan was 4% higher than the financing I had brought in with me. Since I ended up using my own financing after all, the certification and the nearly $2,000 I spent turned out to be completely unnecessary. The entire process felt unnecessarily drawn out, exhausting and manipulative. Spending more than eight hours at a dealership for a transaction that should have been straightforward is unacceptable. I also did not have positive experiences with my salesperson despite working with him for many years. I simply did not feel I could trust him. One detail that stood out at the last visit was that his desk was elevated on risers so he sat towering over customers, which struck me as an odd, uncomfortable and comical dynamic. Finally, after the long day, I was taken into the back to a finance office to sign paperwork and was subjected to aggressive sales pitches for additional products and warranties. He used intimidation and scared tactics. The presentation made many of these add-ons feel mandatory rather than optional, creating an uncomfortable, high-pressure environment at a point when I was already mentally exhausted. I feel people who are not as adept as I am in car buying can be deceived into purchasing these add-ons. This review reflects only my personal experience, but after more than a decade of being a loyal customer, I left feeling misled and pressured rather than valued. There are many reputable dealerships where the buying process is transparent and respectful. If I were shopping again, I would look elsewhere. On the flipside my experience with Edwin at Honda Services for service and maintenance have always been great.

The sales agents takes my husbands amex with a simple "Can I see it?" Sure. Here you go...what do you need it for? "I just want to see it" So he sees it. And comes back with a 7,000 charge. No papers were filed asking us for permission and we refused to signed the check. We were told that the charge won't go through and were reassured 3 times. So what happened? It went through. SHADY SHADY SHADY SHADY! Our amex rep was in awe. How does a charge go through without the slip being signed or without written consent? STAY AWAY! I called to see if the car was ready and I was told that the car needed new brakes and would not pass inspection. I told them not to change the brakes and picked the car up. I then took the car to Midas and paid extra to have them pull the wheels to check the brakes. They told me that the brakes were good for another 15,000 to 20,000 miles. One year later, inspection time again I took the car to a local place and the car failed. He said that it would probably pass at the dealer (I don't know why). I went to Guiffre and the car passed. EVEN THOUGH THE BRAKES HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED. STAY AWAY.... THEY ARE NOT HONEST!!!
