Tow trucker arrives and went through inspection that took no more than two minutes. I already contacted base police prior to his arrival, so he wouldn't have to wait for a police escort mind you. So as soon as we left inspection, were waiting at Gate 5 to get on base. Yes it was a bit backed up at 10am, and was sitting at the left turn for no more than 10 minutes. So then he proceeds to call me and says he not waiting because he doesn't get paid to wait and doesn't want to sit there for an hour and a half. Sure enough, when the young driver called for directions he knew exactly where we were. Once he arrived, he had hubby's truck up and carted off to Norfolk lickety-split. Our charge was $200 for over 25 miles. I thought that was a steal!! I've been charged a 1/3rd of that just to be towed 5 miles within the city limits!
