I don't know anything about checking oil levels or adding oil. But somehow my dad thought I knew how. So I went to the closest auto shop and the mechanic taught me how to! He was soo nice. Also, if you live this far out in the Richmond, it's nice to have a station with a mechanic nearby. I've had a battery installed here and something else done. (Sorry, I don't remember what it was.) The mechanic is nice, although don't expect to get your car back quickly; it's just him. He will give you an accurate time and price estimate, though. I love the sign that says something like CASH KEEPS GAS PRICES LOW. I love it because I refuse to be guilt-tripped into paying with cash, so I always pay with a credit card. If the place is really that concerned about the credit-card fees, it should charge less per gallon for people paying with cash. Me, I'll keep using my card and wondering how much money they spent on having the vinyl sign printed.

I just got mine done today (Jan 17, 2024) and I think pricing went up a few dollars but not by a lot. Total was $54.95 today. The guys here are usually really quick (no longer than 30 minutes) but I usually come in the mornings so I can't speak for later in the day. Today I actually had 3 other cars in front of me but it still didn't take more than 30 mins. I really appreciate the guy running the smog checks today. He was hustling, running back and fourth when he really don't need to but it's awesome to see him taking his job seriously and wanting to get customers in and out to go about their days. As soon as a customer pulls up, he grabbed a clipboard and ran over to them. When customers were on their phones while sitting in the waiting area, the employee came over to let them know it's ready instead of yelling out their names. Just little things to made it a pleasant experience. Taraval also has a few coffee shops in the area so you could also go hang out somewhere and check back in later!

We assumed that the card machine at the pumps were compromised. I tried calling to alert the staff about the fraud, and all I got was "Yeah, fraud happens a lot." Unbelievably lazy and rude

As others have said, the customer service is beyond measurable and their care reminds you of times that no longer exist. The owner shows up every single morning and takes such good care of patrons from pumping their gas while it rains to putting air in your tire (who does that anymore?). While the gas price is accurate for the area I can't comment on the mechanic shop as I've never used their services before. I watched the owner hand out bags of ice, propane, and he made sure those who needed support during the most recent mega SF power outage were taken care of.
