We ate here shortly after it opened - my first, last and only visit I will ever make to this place. Only restaurant around Fredericton with worse food is the diplomat. the food at 777 was bland, warm at best and almost tasted the like the cardboard box I imagine it came in. as for the atmosphere, yeah - it's dated. nice staff and good service, I don't care about the interior so much but the food is sub par, there are many better restaurants in Fredericton who do so much better for the same prices. Smaller portions and higher quality ingredients may help this place but it's doubtful that will happen... I definitely recommend you give this place a pass by, do not stop in, save yourself the disappointment and money. read more

My wife and I tried it three times when it first opened. Twice were take out and once was eat in. Take Out Neither time did they get our orders correct. The food was decent but not what we ordered. Eat In Our server disappeared for 30 minutes and we were told by the other staff that they "can't help another server's table," which is ridiculous. When she finally returned, she reeked of cigarettes. It was good to know that a cancer stick ranked higher than her patrons. On top of that, the food was mediocre at best. At least for me, this place was not worth the money. For roughly the same price, The Diplomat has much better food and the restaurant is nicer. I tried this place shortly after they opened. My husband and I arrived around 630pm and tried the buffet. There were lots of options but most of the food tasted like it has been out all day. We were put in a room in the back that looked like it belonged in a truck stop. The tables were even covered in vinyl felt-back table cloths (like the kind you would put on your outdoor picnic table) and had paper signs taped to them with table numbers on them. I've been to this restaurant several times and always found the food to be great. @Kathy H. , Don't arrive there 1/2 hour before the buffet is done and expecting a full buffet, and most restaurants have deserts from Box Stores... Jubilee doesn't even take them out of the boxes. The Lemon Chicken and General Tao chiken are great off the menu ... if you go at peek hours, the buffet is full and fresh. For those who went when it first open, I suggest you go again. They have improved I find. read more

Had lunch and dinner buffets there and I preferred the dinner buffet because more options and better healthier food, such as crab legs, lots of sushi, dim sum, roast beef etc. last time we went, it was my hubby's birthday, and his meal was free! I finally went to try the newer chinese restaurant in Fredericton the 777 Chinese Restaurant and Buffet, My partner and I ordered a combo 1 and 2 and a side order of chow mein seeing that the combos did not include any! I was disappointed, nothing new here! same old same old except I had to travel all the way to nashwaaksis to get it. I have had MISU several times believe me I looked for something new at the 777 and found nothing, so personally just travel to your closest chinese store on the northside and save some gas! but you sure got plenty of bland fried musy rice at the 777 unfortunently it was 3/4 of the combo. Blah blah yuck!!! I miss Happy Court!! now they had good chinese food!! read more

I just ate here on Sunday for the first time. The food was amazing! I just wish I had a larger stomach so I could've tried everything. I've been thinking about it since and plan to return this Sunday so I can try everything I missed on my first visit. I can't say I paid much attention to the décor but the place was clean. Me and my boyfriend went there tonight at 8pm.We were greeted and seated right away, the server and cook were very friendly and efficient.the buffet had a good variety on it and was delicious, very clean as well.I will recomend this resteraunt to friends and family, and will be back for more. read more

We ate there tonight and were a bit disappointed. Food was alright, a lot of the buffet was not full. Sushi was not fresh. Deserts look like they are from a big box store. Looks like they moved in with no work, we were seated in the back room and the walls are all, paint chipped and looks very old and uncared for. read more

I've been to 777 three times in the last couple of months and each time was very good. Twice we had the buffet - lots of choice and lots of my favourites (non-deep fried stuff) and I enjoyed it very much. Maybe a little steep for Fredericton at nearly $20 for the buffet but go hungry and you won't regret it. I had a la carte once and got a combo plate - honestly there was so much food including garlic spare ribs that I couldn't eat the whole thing and I have a good appetite. The price was VERY reasonable for the combo as well. I would strongly recommend 777 to anyone looking for a good, basic (North American) Chinese food meal. As you would expect, it caters to the Fredericton clientele, so lots of chicken balls and lo mein noodles but all well prepared, the chafing dishes are refreshed regularly and if you leave hungry, it's your own fault. The servers were very positive and upbeat as well. I've intentionally gone there on their slower nights at the first of the week and the food has been great. Happy dining! read more
