How about personality? I called Lisa the night before the class to see if she could squeeze me in. From the moment Lisa answered the phone right on through the entire class, she made me feel as though we have been close friends for years. She squeezed me into her class last minute and was obviously very accommodating (I called her at 6pm for a class that began at 10am the next morning). When I got to the class, not only did she greet everyone with a smile, but she laughed and joked with us to build an immediate rapport which made everyone feel extremely comfortable. Skills ... This is where I was a little skeptical. I've been shooting for many years (military and police) so I didn't think that I would get a whole lot out of a basic course, I kinda went in with a closed mind. Truthfully, I was only taking it as a prerequisite to an instructors course. But this is where I was beyond impressed. Lisa and Lynn have absolutely amazing skills. They broke the class down to the bare basics so that if this was your first time ever seeing a firearm, you would have an excellent understanding of firearms, the basics of their operations, and fundamentals, nomenclature, and of course safety. During the classroom portion Lisa expounded beyond the textbook to advance her students knowledge.... not gonna lie, I learned plenty from the classroom and this shocked me!!! When it came to the range and live fire scenarios, I watched Lynn and her team work one on one with every student. Some had never fired a gun before and others had years of experience. Somehow they managed to give us all so many tips and tricks that we all left being significantly better shooters than we were when we started the class. I have taken hundreds of different training courses throughout my career in law enforcement, fire services, and military. But I have never met an instruction with such passion, knowledge and skills as I have with Lynn and Lisa. I will definitely be taking ALL of their classes as we move forward. My wife and daughters will also be future students of Lisa and Lynn!!! I tip my hat to these amazing instructors, you truly are the best!!!

I do feel that what he is teaching is very relevant to the types of situations you are likely to encounter in the world today. At the end of the free class there was absolutely no pressure to sign up for future sessions. He answered every one of my questions and provided me with assurances that by the end of the session my dad would have a better understanding of firearm safety.
