He then introduced me to another gentleman who gave me a lesson on my purchase and reviewed every detail with me. They had a large selection of everything you need and are similarly priced to other shops in the area. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend them. Great experience. It was my first time at this location. They had guns that you could try out and ammo that you could buy there. We brought our own equipment. A worker came over to help adjust someone in our group and gave them pointers on how to be a little more accurate and safe in shooting for their first time. The staff was very knowledgeable and the value for what we paid was worth it. Great indoor shooting range. I felt that $25 for an hours worth of shooting is a pretty good price. The store attached to the range is affiliated with South Shore Sportsman in Merrick that I've purchased multiple guns from. I recommend this range especially considering the distance to the outdoor ranges are at least another half hour from here. read more

Great range I am a new shooter and I brought my maverick 88 to shoot for the first time. No one talked down to me or treated me like a idiot the range officer (super nice older guy) let me run through my first box of slugs so I could familiarize myself with my firearm and then came over and gave me tips on recoil management. (they were helpful tips) Even when I accidentally broke a rule no one yelled at me or made a issue (I brought my gun to the bench to put it in the case rather than taking my case to the firing point) I was calmly corrected and I will never make that mistake again. Worse range ever . By far the worse range I've ever been to and I did law enforcement for years and this is a place that has no personality. The workers are rude and very unhelpful. They are not informative and not willing to teach you how to operate a unfamilarized gun. They blow you off and your pretty much on your own. While on the range, one of the RSO's came over and made some adjustments to my grip and stance and I saw an immediate improvement. The range Long Islanders have been waiting for. Amazing transformation! The renovation of the once tired and filthy range is nothing short of amazing. Under the new ownership comes a truly state of the art indoor range, along with a new attitude, that was sorely missing under the former owners. The range - the air is clean! The ventilation system is among the best I have ever seen. Points are well lit and everything works. Lighting is spot on. The store - Well stocked and as we have come to expect from Mike and crew, well organized, uncluttered and clean. No "gun store" attitude.
