For a very long time, I have cheaped down on headphones and never bought good quality ones because I thought that they were a waste of money. My reasoning mostly stems from the idea of some things being inflated value and companies charging an insane markup on them. Like I could imagine $100 headset could be made for like 10 bucks or something. Hence I totally did not see any value in spending those insane prices to buy headphones. I was using $30 Motorola headsets for the longest time and there was a white hum noise that you could vaguely hear in the background. This was whenever you were playing songs like hip-hop or pop or R&B, like a vague hum that you could consistently hear. It was no big deal to me at the time because I never had a point of reference of what genuinely good quality headsets sound like. I used to assume a lot of it was brand and people being very stupid with their money and wanting to show off like with Apple AirPods. Or maybe the beats by Dre line. As this was happening, I had finally gone around to upgrading my phone. I had had a very old Samsung S8 which was running for me for a while although it was clearly becoming very very slow and I couldn't even complete basic tasks without having frustration. I am unsure if these big companies slow down their phones overtime but if that's the case that's actually horrible and very bad for the customer. It's sad to think how companies just see customers as a money making scheme and will slow down phones because they want you to buy a new one. However I finally ended up getting a new phone in the Samsung Flip which is pretty cool but they had the galaxy buds also in stock and offered them to me at this Verizon. I've decided why not if I'm already spending money on the phone why the heck not just buy good headsets to go along with it. I'd say that it really opened up my perspective in terms of music because I really didn't consider just how much of a difference good headsets can make. The same exact song that you're listening to on bad headsets, Will sound genuinely much much better on good headsets and that vague hum that I felt with the Motorola headsets, I did not get with the galaxy buds headsets. Or maybe it is just the integration that Samsung has because they're both Samsung devices. I did consider the Apple AirPods but I assume that the ability to sync is much better given that my phone is a Samsung. If I had an iPhone I would've decided to get the AirPods instead more than likely. read more

I have an intense love hate relationship with phone cases, sometimes they can be good other times they can be a complete pain to deal with. I've had cases breakdown on me after only a week of use. Other times they work well for at least the month or two but then start becoming really loose. Especially if you have clear cases they can start to yellow overtime, and that's the worst feeling when you spend so much money on a premium phone to see that it rots away and becomes yellowish over the period that you use it It becomes especially bad when you spend premium prices for cakes and they don't live up to their price tag. All of this adds to my endless frustration with cases on phones and how very few of them are truly made with the quality that you need to last, both physically from where in tear as well as aesthetically from some cases becoming yellow or losing their color. Right now I have the Samsung Z Flip 3, and this is a phone where the case requires two natural parts because it's a flip phone. Hence there needs to be apart that plugs into the top of it and the bottom of it. I've tried cases for this phone that I've completely slipped off over light impact of the ground. And that's because there's nothing affectively sticking to the phone, with two separate pieces you don't have any solid grip of the phone from the case. However I think I found one of the best cases at this Verizon store, they had a fiber case available which had adhesive strips that you could pull to attach it onto your phone. These adhesive strips helped to attach onto the phone and don't come off easily unless you use a lot of pressure. Essentially if you don't plan to be removing the case at any time in the future you will not be losing it anytime soon. The fiber design on the case also creates a very nice elegance and retains the premium feel which is my other issue with majority of cases. Whenever you buy a case it can often ruin the premium glass or aluminum feel of your phone. Like imagine spending $1000 on the phone and then female plastic in your pocket. That's not fair to the consumer, these cases need to be made with better materials on a whole. The fiber case however retains its premium fuel without becoming overly heavy. My concern is that if a phone is made out of an aluminum case or a metallic case or a glass case it would become too heavy. To say I'm impressed right now as an understatement. I've always had a lot of difficulty with my phones battery life. My iPhone 7 has had a run this battery life that's only deteriorated as I've owned the phone. My guess is that through prolonged use and all of the constant charging sessions the battery is no longer the same state it was when I bought it. Or maybe it's an anti-consumer practice and Apple is deliberately reducing the batteries capacity overtime somehow. Either way one thing's for certain the phone has a horrible battery life and anyone holding onto an old phone telling themselves that they don't have a bad battery is mistaken in my opinion since the iPhone 13 Pro's battery is exceptional on levels that I've never seen on any other device I've used, not on my laptop, not on my previous phones, not on my tablets. This phones battery can last multiple days on a single charge with light usage. That is completely unheard of from my older phone. I am unsure what difference Apple has made in the technology or maybe these new phones are just much more power efficient, but I can say as a consumer I'm absolutely thrilled at this change. I was most interested at a time to just upgrade because of the camera but now the camera so secondary to the battery. I can't even imagine going back in time and using a phone that can barely last half the day on a single charge. Now I can calmly go about my day scrolling through social media while at work and not have to worry about my phone completely crashing by the end. Even if God for bid I forget to plug it in before I go to sleep it's still has enough charge to get me by for much of the next day. iPhone 13 pro from Verizon is the best phone ever had and the sales person he really didn't emphasize the fact enough but a genuinely is a legendary device and I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a device and your major concern is battery life than the iPhone 13 Pro is amazing. I want to prophet this though I never used a Samsung phone so maybe their battery life is better. I've often heard it from my uncle who uses a Samsung say his battery is really good. Maybe Samsung's batteries are comparable I am on sure but at least on an iPhone side, this battery is absolutely incredible. The display can also get really bright and you can see it outdoors and camera quality in photos and videos you can take is stunning. read more

I've had an immensely difficult time switching over to my new phone. I previously had a galaxy S8 and have just got the iPhone 13 from this location. Verizon was having a promotion and I finally decided to try an iPhone since everyone in my family keeps telling me to get one. To my absolute disappointment everything is so difficult to use, LITERALLY everything has been a rollercoaster to understand and actually get working on the device, my old android only apps like Samsung Pay and Samsung Notes don't work in this one which is really frustrating especially when you are so used to a particular ecosystem. But now if I was to switch back and get a Galaxy s22 or something, immediately I'd hear a whole host of complaints from my family hence why I am more likely to just leave the situation be and just continue using the iPhone 13. WhatsApp was always my go to on my old phone and Roger helped me set it up on my new phone, at this location and this was a help since it transferred all my messages over from my old phone on to this new one. It keeps a level of consistency that at least my go to messenger hasn't changed one bit since I began using this new phone. But my biggest problem and complaint so far has to be the fact YouTube does not allow any sort of multi tasking, meaning if I am watch a video and then minimize it as I do other tasks, it will immediately and rather abruptly shutoff and not allow me to continue at all. This is especially annoying if I'm trying to complete multiple tasks on my phone, like what is wrong with browsing Instagram and still having the ability to listen to a podcast that I'm enjoying. Why on earth would this feature be restricted???? I'm asking genuinely out of complete confusion but when I complained about this at the store I was told that this is a feature of iOS and not something that Verizon has anything to do with.
