Upon getting there they did they have what I was looking for in stock (albizia mimosa bark he huanpi) and a couple other herbs. I grabbed astragulus, Chinese skullcap & the albizia bark. I was charged for roughly 300 grams of albizia bark $30. I should have went with my instinct and went over to flushing and dealt with NYTRT. (Tong ren tang) they are selling the same bark a pound for 11$ I could have gotten 3 pounds of mimosa albizia bark -I didn't even close to a pound yet triple the price 30$ they weigh it and say gram wise & make it sound like a good deal 50g for 5. You can get the same at NYTRT for 2.50. I won't be back and I read multiple comments because of the social media visibility they have started to take advantage of people and that is 100% fact. I would of just ordered it online myself but figured I'd go directly to the source since I had seen such good reviews of the owner (btw he was not there when I went) they also tried to sell me a tiny bag of ginseng for 50$ I immediately was like absolutely not. Sad to see such a "great" place turn greedy when people truly could benefit from using Chinese medicinal herbs. I've been here twice in person and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They are out of stock on the Ruby Farms so the budtender recommended a different brand. Will see how that goes until I can get what I like. This place is clean. Cute. But I threw out my back & I've had it with the steroid injections & bs. So I spoiled myself. They just reopened on Willoughby in Bushwick and oh my lanta!!!! It's a much more intimate space than they had 10 years ago, when you go for the community option I think there's only three beds now. Not only does the bed heat up, but the wonderful Dr Patchi put a heating lamp on my back for my cramps. LUXURY I swear this was a spa like experience! Patchi is super warm & chill, and SO intuitive with her hands. She also used a tens unit which I completely love. She is so so so skilled, and that excellent skill is overshadowed in the best way by her warmth. When we were done I slowly sat up and stretched my back a bit, and felt pops where I've been really needing to feel pops! She also did some needling for an ankle I broke last year that I'm still healing, and I'm really impressed by how much that worked. Of course it isn't magic, I still have cramps and my back is still rough, but both are much much much more manageable after just one session. I was tipped off to a pay what you can day coming up soon, and I really really really appreciated that (& immediately booked a spot). Being broke sucks, this economy sucks, looking for a job sucks, and it sucks even more when you feel like you're being judged for not having much money (esp since Bushwick is turning snooty).
