7th Owl Tea is exactly what downtown Sanford needed! The shop is quaint and the owners are nice.

Picking your project in advance is required so they can have all your stuff ready. The fine details like colors and stains are decided on the spot. Funny enough, 3 out of 7 of us chose the same project! It was the holiday card display board. But even when that happens, as you can see with my picture, they all turned out very different. The class was booked for three hours and we were indeed there for 3 hours. They sell alcoholic bevvies for $5 and had a great selection. They have multiple bathroom stalls there that are very clean. They have a sink in the back with special soap that takes off any paint you might get on your hands/ nails. The staining process you gotta be careful with and wear the gloves. And the sanding process please be careful. A friend got a huge splinter which was bleeding. They helped us clean it up and put a bandaid on it so she could keep creating. Employees were super helpful and easy to flag when you needed help. But they pretty much roamed around the whole time and jumped in to help workout needing to be called over. I was impressed. They took group photos for us and we left with our beautiful projects! We can't wait to come back. They have events for kids as well.

Cute projects. Value- time plus effort plus productivity = around $73 for this project so I think…read moreit's a little pricey. Large selection of projects and designs. Some projects are less expensive. You need to book a set as limited space is available. Best for group outings.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE -- THIS PLACE FEELS LIKE A COMPLETE SCAM…read more If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. My friend and I booked this class specifically for the Easter holiday, hoping to enjoy something fun and relaxing. Instead, the OWNER spent OVER HALF THE CLASS ON HIS PHONE dealing with his own staffing issues instead of teaching. We paid for an INSTRUCTOR‑LED CLASS, but barely received any instruction at all. Because of the constant interruptions and lack of guidance, the painting couldn't even be completed in the 2‑hour timeframe we PAID FOR. We had to leave at 7 PM because we both have kids to get home to -- and based on how far behind the class fell, it would have turned into a 4‑HOUR SESSION due to the owner not doing his job. When I reached out afterward, the owner claimed that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON‑REFUNDABLE." This is NOT WRITTEN ANYWHERE on their website. Their posted policy online lists MULTIPLE situations where refunds ARE issued -- yet suddenly, when THEY are the ones who ruined the class, the rules magically change. It feels extremely misleading and dishonest. He offered a studio credit, but after how we were treated, we had ZERO interest in ever coming back. We didn't want a credit -- we wanted our money back for a service that was NOT provided. What makes this even worse is the inconsistent treatment. Another customer received a FULL REFUND + 50% OFF when their artist didn't show up. So apparently refunds DO exist -- just not for us. The way we were treated felt discriminatory and completely unfair. This location is unprofessional, dismissive, and does not honor the service they advertise. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Walked around in here for a bit checking out the range of skills and visions of the various artists they have on display. It somewhat reminded me of being in Barcelona on an afternoon when various artists would set up on the square. My favorite artists on display here are: Tom Abbott - 3-dimensional Mixed Media - bright and vibrant colors that literally jump off the canvas; you will be tempted to touch each piece. He displays various textures throughout his pieces. There are ripped and frayed-edge canvas to smooth poured paint. They don't have a story behind them, he simply does it some everyone can have fun with his art. Jerry D. Martin - photographer - After seeing a sunset photo, I looked it up online and discovered that when moving to FL, a sunset experience really turned him onto landscape and he has a very similar sunset connection that I do: "A sunset is a celebration of the end of a long day. It is the final light of the evening that sends us a variety of color which allows us to witness God's ability to paint the perfect picture." - YAS! Fridays they have Art Class & a Wine Glass: http://www.artclassandawineglass.com - for anyone, not just "artists" - this is a fun way to get your paint on and hang out with friends or meet new people. It takes place in the middle of the gallery.

Sharon was very kind and her artwork was excellent. They are licensed to sell beer and wine so if you want a nice relaxing time to view art and drink wine, come here! They also offer classes which sounded awesome, but I unfortunately did not have time to attend one. Because I am flying home today with an already packed luggage I couldn't purchase anything, but Sharon was still very kind in her sharing of knowledge with me regarding the art pieces. I would highly recommend this gallery!

The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase.

Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy.
