One day I had a real hankering for some baby back, baby back ribs and Red Hill Groves happened to be right down the street. This spot is inviting and has plenty of parking out front. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. I popped in for some lunch but was pleasantly surprised at how many other goods that they had to offer. From pork rinds to boiled peanuts to fresh orange juice to candy and much, much more, this place has something for everyone! A fellow patron informed me that their baby back ribs and key lime pie were amazing. So naturally, I had to order the ribs for my lunch. I also ordered the brisket sandwich with smoked potatoes and collard greens. The meats were very flavorful and tender. The collards were salty and delicious. I think my favorite would have to be the smoked potatoes. I'm not sure how they do it but they have a wonderfully infused smoky flavor. All in all, this is a wonderful family business and I can't wait to come back to try more! read more

This is a neat little place that I noticed on a one of few of my drives to Sanford. The "fresh eggs" sign always caught my eye. However, to be honest I must have driven past it five or six times before I finally decided to stop in. They have a several cages of chickens out back and you can go out there and observe them which I think is pretty cool. You can see that the chickens are privy to fresh air, sunshine and are not overcrowded. It's not often that we actually get to see where our food comes from. The price is about what the cost for store bought organic eggs - $4.50/dozen. I think that I also saw a couple rabbit cages as well. I didn't have the nerve to confirm what they do with the rabbits. They are so make fresh squeezed orange juice and I believe grapefruit juice. I actually watched the guy taking the bags of oranges out to the area where they have the juicer, run them through machine, package it and then bring it up front and put it in the cooler. Now that's fresh juice! Inside you'll find that they also have a small ice cream stand which I have not tried yet and they sell pies. I have seen the key lime pie but also have not tried it yet. It is next on my list of things to try. They also make barbecue sandwiches in addition to a few other items on their short menu. I have had the barbecue brisket sandwich and this is good enough to have again. I did think that for the size of the bun it could have used a little bit more meat. Perhaps it was just the time of day, just after a big rush, so maybe supplies were low. They also carry a random assortment of things like local honey and some candies. If you like little local places like this, it is definitely worth checking out. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the food delicious, my husband and I had the Brisket Sandwich with MacNCheese, but also the owners and workers are so friendly! There's plenty of good snacks and jams to browse, along with their full menu and plenty of drink options. There's also a full orange grove you can walk and chickens to feed! Tucked away on the side of the road is a sweet ole store with literally sweet thangs such as honey! I love the set up they have and how spacious it is, along with the little bags of corn kernals you can feed to the chickens in the back for .50! Their produce and products they have never fails, never spoiled or rotten, always fresh. I wish the north had some of this up there, but what got me the most was their hospitality. I always thought the south was filled with arrogant peeps that were narrow minded, but that's everywhere. These people are truly precious loving earth and caring people!! read more

Fresh picked citrus is on hand, ready for your immediate or future pleasure. Everything is stocked according the the season, and they'll tell you what's good and when. Besides fresh fruit, they carry jars of marmalade--orange, tangerine, pink grapefruit to some more exotic flavors including jalapeno. Sweet candied jelly treats, cooking marinades and other small gifts fill out the shop. Have relatives or friends living up North? Send them a ray of Florida sunshine. My husband and I were visiting Florida and just wanted a quick place for photos. The guy behind the counter let us have free reign of the little grove behind the shop. It was so fun! The trees aren't very big but it was still a fun experience. They had other crops out back, some chickens and turkeys, and a a cute cat! They had so much in the little shop too. We didn't check it out too much but it was a fun stop for us. Be careful for fire ants! read more

Once upon a time... a couple months ago I reached out online to the I Love Winter Springs facebook page because I was in desperate need of boiled peanuts. Being from Polk county I always had access to them and I needed to know where to get them ASAP because it was my ultimate craving in my 3rd trimester. SO MANY people reached out... and the number one suggestion was Red Hill Groves! My husband went the first time without me to grab some peanuts but when he returned he said "you have to go there... it has chickens." LOL Ya see.... i am a #birdnerd. And I do love chickens. (p.s. bring $1 with you for chicken food) And we have a toddler... who also happens to have a fondness for animals so we knew this would be the perfect outing for him too. We weren't wrong. Now we visit weekly. It's become a little family treat to go get boiled peanuts, fresh pecans, OJ samples, and fresh eggs too. We feed the chickens and play checkers. I also like to purchase some sweets as well when I visit. I sometimes get the key lime pie they sell or one of their famous hand spun milkshakes. They put fresh honey in them and fresh fruit and they are absolutely delicious. I have heard great things about the BBQ but have not tried it yet but can say the mac and cheese is a hit. We once bought a half gallon of their fresh OJ and gave it to friends as a gift and now whenever those friends visit they REQUEST this oJ :) They said it was the best orange juice they have ever had in their life! And more than anything the guys that run this place are absolutely charming. They are so sweet to my son and are completely genuine in every way possible. They offer samples and don't mind that my son dips into the pecans samples more than once... or twice... I love this place. It's a little slice of home. read more

This is one of my favorite local finds! I happened to be looking for a Watermelon and they had the seedless and giant ones with seeds. As a matter of fact they had the biggest watermelon I have ever seen and I chase watermelons in the summer. They have a little produce, local honey, tons of Amish Jams and canned good. They also make BBQ, I haven't had this yet, but its on the list. I had the pleasure of smelling the bbq both times I have been there. I met a lady that said she comes weekly for boiled peanuts. They also have fresh and I mean fresh Orange Juice that they squeeze in house. This is a great open air market and I think I will make this a regular stop for eggs, Melons, Citrus and looking forward to tasting the Q! read more

I've lived in Orlando for the past 7 years, this place is within walking distance from my house and yet I've never been here before. I've never tried a red navel orange before either. Wow, this place is awesome. They don't just sell Citrus, they have a lot of homemade items as well; jams, pickles, honey etc. I did buy some of their blueberry preserves, probably some of the best preserves I've had in a long time. Almost like a blueberry compote. They also serve ice cream. It's like soft serve creamsicle heaven in my mouth. They are only open a few months out of the year. Their prices are way better than the grocery stores, and the fruit is fresh. You can always stop in and just try out a sample. They had a few different oranges sliced up the day I went in. Did I mention they have ice cream to die for? lol! I'm glad I finally decided to stop in. Definitely worth it. read more

Highly recommend heading to this farm for a visit. we stopped by for quick visit and wow freshest orange juice I ever had in my life! Also bought some pralines which were top notch. On top of all that the guy who checked us out (did not catch his name but assuming he is the owner) is one heck of a guy! Talk about southern hospitality, gave us a dollar so we could drive through the toll expressway to get to Daytona quicker! This was an awesome stop for BBQ. Had a rib dinner - $12 they have fresh pulled pork that is out of this world. This is a small fruit stand on the side of the road. It has a large table where you can eat outside. The staff is friendly and food great. Find time to stop by. Snack on some boiled peanuts, enjoy the sweet tea and have an ice cream for dessert. Discovered this place 7? Years ago I believe, and loved it with the variety of items. Randomly visited here and there when in the area and each visit just got worse and worse, this last time will be the last. Produce has been little to none at all like this last visit. Employees always are quick to offer a variety of reasons why after arriving. Time before my last there was zero produce so my husband and I got food, it was just barely okay and very overpriced. Bought a caned drink with food that tasted odd, found expiration date on the bottom and it was 6 months after expiration... ended up tossing my 9.00 meal, at best it was worth 4.00. Just went to final visit and again zero produce just stuff you could buy in most any store (bagged chips, jelly every produce mkt buys). I ended up just buying a bag of cheese curds for 7.50 (checked Exp and was good), when I got home and opened I about threw up, the smell of rotten dairy was AWFUL!! it is currently triple bagged in freezer waiting for trash day. We went to this location for our first time around 4pm on a Wednesday. There was a fair selection of produce, and there were several other items available, such as anything pickled that you could think of, and some hot sauces. The staff was friendly, and provided a brief history of the operation. The staff allowed our little one to go in the back to see the rabbits and chickens, and there were several photo opportunities, such as tractors and a tree swing. We ordered some ice cream, and some bbq. Unfortunately, the brisket was sold out. The staff told us that they usually didn't run out, however with the COVID situation, some people would come in and purchase larger amounts than normal. We got half a rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, a spicy sausage, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and Hoppin John. Hoppin John is essentially black eyed peas, stewed tomatoes, and rice, which was pretty good. The ribs were perfect and the pork was right on target. The description of the spicy sausage was on point; that thing was SPICY! The Mac & cheese was great, and those baked beans were epic! The only downside to the experience was having to drive home nearly half an hour, and not being able to eat the food! It was truly a good experience, and we will definitely be going back. read more

Cute little store that manages to stay open despite all the competition. Stopped in today and picked up some oranges and a grapefruit. The fruit is really fresh and reasonably priced. Not only do they sell fruit, but they also have some homemade honey, jams, preserves, and some different types of fruit bread when I was in there. I sampled some orange juice and it was very good! You can buy orange juice here by the half gallon or glass. Some kids stopped in on their way home from school. They picked up some ice cream which looked amazing. I literally ended up here on accident and feel like I found a hidden gem! The Orange juice was not available due to being out of season but I ended up buying fresh tomatoes, oranges, and a watermelon and everything was fresh and delicious!
