While the chicken tamales were good, our experience with the chile relleno was beyond disappointing. While eating, we found two long brown hairs in two separate tamales from that dozen. We were so disgusted that we had to throw the entire dozen away. For several days, we felt sick just thinking about it. These tamales are quite expensive, and for that price, you expect basic food safety and hygiene protocols to be followed. Finding someone's hair in your mouth is unacceptable. I really hope the business looks into their kitchen protocols, as we will not be returning.

I've probably bought 30 of them over time. The chicken wings are amazing. I don't like blue cheese, but I love blue cheese here. The ranch is great and it comes with buffalo sauce. Everything taste fresh and I'd say they are very consistent and haven't changed which is why we will always continue to visit, especially for the live music.

The shrimp tacos I feel were the highlight of the selection. The lady taking our orders was friendly efficient and friendly and the food got out quick especially considering the orders were custom to each person. At the end of the regular food service they also made a seafood noodles dish that they personally walked around and offered to all the people enjoying the festivities. I cannot recommend getting in contact with this business for your next event or catering needs. I would utilize them time and time again. Also has solidified that I will visit their physical location if their catered truck showing was this awesome. We ran down the truck and order half a dozen beef tamales. They were also offering pork and verde pork tamales, but we opted for all beef. These tamales had the perfect ratio of meat to masa; in fact the beef was over flowing! The masa wasn't too heavy and did not crumble when cut. The beef was shredded, super tender, with just a touch of spice. Theses tamales were amazing and, I had to admit, better than the ones my family makes. If you're in the Avila or Pismo Beach areas keep an eye out for the bright yellow tamale truck!
