I love this place! I especially love the pork adobo!!! Amazing delicious. What is also good is the lumpia and how big the portions are. They serve the food very fresh and hot to you. The atmosphere is very cozy and family like and the service is good. They also have a food truck that roams around. I have tried their panciet, chicken adobo and both were awesome as well. Caught Island Mix's food truck out at Danish Days in Solvang. They recommended Pancit Palabok. Pancit are noodles and were originally introduced into the Philippines by Chinese Settlers. They topped the rice noodles with fried pork belly and crushed Chicharon. Was hoping for more of a taste sensation from the Chicharon, but felt it got lost in the heavy flavor of the fried pork belly, which by the way tasted pretty good. My only complaint would be the sauce for the Pancit was thin and a bit bland. Palabok should contain a heavier, more flavorful fish sauce to liven up the noodles, which was lacking. Additionally if you offer a hard boiled egg, make sure you know how to properly prepare it; the grey discoloration around the yoke means you boiled it too vigorously and too long, which will give it an off taste. However, I am grateful for their sharing of their food culture with the rest of the community, would be willing to try other menu items next time. read more

So far, so good! I had their food on VAFB today (April 15) from their food truck, as they are there from M-F, 11am to 1pm. I had the combo with pork adobo, 1 lumpia, pancit, and white rice; the combo also comes with a drink, so I picked the canned mango juice from the drink case. The entire portion was very generous! It was fantastic to have for lunch and truly tasted like homecooked Filipino food. The pork adobo meat was flavorful and well-marinated. I do like the sauce that came with the combo container, but I also sprinkled the garlic-pepper-vinegar they had on hand onto my lumpia. I like that they had condiments to offer at their truck, too. I will be eating their food again for sure. I will update my review again accordingly. :) P.S. There was no vegetable section to their offerings at this time, but another customer asked about it and the gentleman handling the transactions took the time to note it. I really wanted to like this place! We needed a new restaurant in Lompoc and I was hoping this would be it. But really it was just okay at best. I the chicken adobo with white rice and lumpia. The chicken was just weird. The adobo flavor was off and the quality of the chicken was definitely on the lower end. Small portion of white rice and a lumpia that was crispy but a little lacking on flavor. The best thing was the dipping sauce for the lumpia. I will try this place again only to see how their pancit stands up. And we all deserve second chances. read more

I heard the lumpia was great and I tried to eat there two days at the Spring Arts Festival but they were not ready. On Saturday at noon they said they didn't have any oil and on Sunday they did not show up until after 12:30. They lost a lot of business not being there. It wasn't too bad. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Lumpia was so-so with ground beef.. good crunch though. Dipping sauce wasn't traditional. It seemed to have some mixture of something spicy. I think it was neither good not bad. Pancit needed more flavor... maybe more egg too. Chicken adobo was good. The lady there called it adobe lol, but she was very nice and accomodating. The pork ribs were pretty tasty also. Rice was good but a very small portion. I wouldn't call this a fusion restaurant since there is no fusion of Filipino and American food .. just a few options from both. My buddy got the ground beef tacos and said they were good and he would get them again. He liked their fries and said the tortilla chips were decent. Debating on going back only because of the limited options. I had the king combo so I have kind of had all that they offer for Filipino food. Restaurant inside is a bit dark and feels empty. I had this for lunch today. #3 I was very disappointed! The pancit was old the noodles were dry in most of it. The chicken adobo was dry and the rice was cold and hard in some spots. While I enjoy and love their pork adobo (hubby likes their chicken adobo), I've had better pansit and their lumpia is a rip off. I can make better lumpia! I was quite excited when they first opened the restaurant, one because I love Filipino food and also because they are just a few blocks away from my house. Honestly though, the first and only time I visited, I walked out empty handed and didn't order anything, quite sad actually. Filipino food is so amazing and has so much to offer but walking in the the restaurant and looking at the menu was quite disheartening. I came in with the mindset of ordering everything they had to offer, but come to find out all there was was some type of meat, fried (many of them canned) with a side of rice. :/ That menu, I don't want to insult anyone cause I'm just writing a review and they've probably poured their heart and soul into the place, but that menu is for the lack of a better word -- lazy. The only authentic items on the menu are pancit, adobo, and lumpia. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some adobo, but can't we offer a bit more? It's a bit cliché and pretty mainstream. Your logo says Filipino fusion, there's no fusing going on in this cuisine. Since then I actually have had their food twice from the food truck at VAFB, to get my fix, and it was enjoyable. I suggest making the chicken adobo boneless cause it's kind of hard eating a chicken leg and rice on the computer at your desk, and I think it would probably appeal to more people. Filipino food can be a hard sell especially to folks that have never been exposed to it, I've seen two restaurants go belly-up since I've lived here. My suggestion is to rework that menu. Give people a reason to come to the restaurant, make people want to come, give people a reason to talk about it. How great would it be to hear people say, "Let's try that new Filipino place". Offer some great food, some fresh vibrant vegetables, Caldereta/Nilaga/Bulalo/Sinigang/Tinola/Arroz Caldo/Kare-Kare/Empanadas/ Pork n Beef Bbq, some of the best Bbq I've had has been at Filipino parties, the list is endless. Lechon!! Lechon alone would have people coming back everyday. And don't even get me started with the desserts, baked goods. None of it on the menu, just a bunch of fried stuff served with a scoop of rice. I want you guys to do well and I want to support you wholeheartedly. The island mix food truck is deliciousness on wheels. The often park in the Lompoc wine ghetto and serve around 5-7 dishes. I recently had the tri-tip sandwich. It was very tasty along with two lumpia rolls. Give this place a try if you have the chance. Cheers read more

Limited menu...just an overpriced food truck. You can go to the store buy a "pack" of lumpia and cook it for yourself for much cheaper. The pancit is missing ingredients normally found in pancit. Like vegetables. The food is bland... The adobo tastes bland and has too much soy sauce. For me, this is not Filipino food. read more

The food is consistently above average and occasionally amazing. If they could put their best product out more consistently it would easily be 5 stars. There are few encounters that I treasure more in life than the unearned kindness of absolute stangers. A group of friends and I chanced upon this restaurant on our way down the CA coast for the annual AIDS LifeCycle biking event. Although we had heard news of a good Mexican taqueria in town, we were excited about accompanying our team leader to a Filipino restaurant (my first time eating Filipino food!). When we arrived, we discovered to our dismay that the restaurant was only open for lunch. However, the owners were on the premises finishing a catering order, and when they heard that several of us were from out of state and most members of the group had biked 400 miles from SF, they invited us in for some freshly made lumpia and pancit. They were apologetic that they didn't have more food on hand, but also offered to drive the group of us back to camp in their van, and let us sit and chat in the restaurant at our leisure. The food was extremely delicious and was a great cliffhanger for those of us who were trying Filipino food for the first time. What made the meal even more special, however, was the wonderful hospitality and generosity with which it was served. The owners also told us the meal was on the house. Although most of us only come through Lompoc once a year, for the AIDS LifeCycle event, I hope we can make our visit to the restaurant an annual tradition. I got a plate of food from their truck at the Flower Festival. The food was very flavorful. The Pork adobo was amazing it was definitely authentic tasting. The only thing is they offer different combos for different events, so when we ordered the pork sandwich with the two lumpia listed on the menu they said they weren't offering it for the event we were at until we and another guest pointed out it was on the sign. Great place for lunch! My husband and I went today and i had the taco meal and couldn't finish it all by myself! tasted great and would definitely get that again. My husband had the triple burger and was quite satisfied with the size and taste--not frozen patty, fresh meat and loved the homemade potato salad.
