They did a top-notch job - indeed, the insulation works so well we needed to turn down our heat upstairs, as it was now too hot! They made it easy to understand the decisions and their ramifications. We did have one odd problem, when snow entered our attic and began to melt (and drip!) after an unusual blizzard. When I called them they came out right away to assess the situation, and added a bit of extra material in the soffit vents to prevent a recurrence of the (unlikely) problem, all at no charge.

I also appreciated the fact that they were able to conduct business via email. And when it came time to do the insulation work, the crew was very careful when moving through the house and cleaning up after themselves.

Ron (the owner) included an extensive list of optional add-on work items (more on that later). He also included a number of letters from satisfied customers. I had specifically asked for an estimate for prepping and painting the trim ($4600), but had expressed interest in having the body painted and some carpentry done as well. The numbers were ultimately reasonable enough that I opted for upgrading the paint to Sherwin-Williams Duration ($28/gallon; $700 total), a second coat on the trim ($1400), painting the body ($3000), replacing some siding ($2700), and painting the windows sashes for some accent color ($135). It was about two months after sending in our deposit that the crew was available to start work on the house. Before that Ron's color expert (I forget his name, unfortunately) helped us choose a combination that made sense (for you owners of Arts & Crafts homes, Bungalow Colors by Robert Schweitzer is immensely useful as well). Jacob and Russ did the majority of the painting on our project, and were accompanied by a couple carpenters that handled the siding and woodwork. Jacob was an excellent foreman with a great attention to detail and quality work. The crew arrived early every day and aside from interruption by weather, stuck to our project every working day until everything was finished. The final result was phenomenal. Calling themselves "perfect" painters is hyperbole, of course, but they did do a thorough job and we get a lot of compliments on the work. The quality of the work at a reasonable price (well below other estimates) means we'd happily hire them again.

I was a student and didn't have much income but had savings so instead of verifying income was told if I pay in cash they could work with me. I was asked to pay a security deposit as well as the full 6 months plus a second security deposit in cash up front, which I did the next day. After moving in I ran into several issues: A neighbor flushed something they shouldn't have and it flooded the entire bottom floor of several of the adjoining townhomes. The flooding was gray water and most of the items I had in that area were destroyed because of it. I had renters insurance so I was able to get reimbursed but communicating with the one person staff at heritage was beyond painful. She was completely unprofessional and not helpful at all. The second biggest issue I had was a leak in the second bathroom. I notified the office about it and they sent someone out to fix it. They had to tear apart the walls to do so but said it was fixed. Several weeks later we noticed the leak was starting to soak through the new drywall and notified the office again. They were not as responsive and the leak grew from the bathroom to the kitchen to the bottom floor of the house. They eventually came out to fix the leak again and once again needed to tear the house apart to do so. There were pretty much non stop problems while living at this apartment and I was so happy to end my lease after the 6 months was up. Lastly they did not return my very large security deposit within the 14 days as stated. I would never work with this company again (to rent or paint). They are completely unprofessional and dishonest. Save your money, time and energy and look elsewhere.

After stressing about that for our long road trip we move into our overpriced tiny apartment outfitted with brand new white carpets! After 2 years of normal living in snowy, muddy, rainy upstate New York we were promptly charged way too much money to clean those unnecessary carpets. No notice was given about how to get our air conditioner installed again the next summer, ended up calling after dying of heat. No notice was given either when they decide to take it out that year- loved the multiple times people came into our apartment with no notice. Also when they randomly decided to finally fix the roof- so fun having the construction wake us up randomly one day after not receiving a heads up. Do not rent from them. Everything is overpriced and we did not feel well listened to. Your home should be comfortable and I did not feel comfortable dealing with them. They milked my deposit and I'm furious especially after everything we dealt with there.

I had you guys (Comfort) in a number of years ago to quote on a project. The problem I had at the time was that Comfort's price was just a little higher and the company I went with assured me they had the same quality workmanship and products. After the other company completed the work... (using the term completed loosely) I had nothing but problems. I called the other company and they told me to call the manufacturer. What a nightmare that turned into. This time the Comfort quote was still just under 4% higher than the next competitor but everything I have read told me to give Comfort a try. So I did! WOW ! is all I can say. I have never seen a construction crew as organized as your guys. The workers were friendly and polite. I didn't hear any swearing like I did with the other company. When the Comfort guys completed the job they walked me around the entire project showing me exactly what they did and why. I was amazed at the finish work, even the calk joints looked perfect unlike the other company who smeared calk everywhere. I am so thankful that I selected Comfort and cant wait to have you back in the spring for the next project we have in mind. Lastly, the guy Chris who came out to estimate this job, I guess he is a salesperson. He was just great... he was here for quite some time and answered every question we had. And, it made us feel really good that he didn't pressure us to sign that night! But why wait, we signed on that night and have never been happier with a home improvement decision. Thanks

The gentleman they sent up to help was absolutely talented and kind. But the owner, Jeremy, was not amenable to fixing the entire problem. He allowed the contractor a certain amount of time to work, but the original issue remains. I'm disappointed in how Jeremy handled a situation that should have been done correctly to begin with.
