We live near by. This is a fun place but they always screw you on prices. My food was reasonable and good. My bourbon was $12.50 for bottom shelf. But $9 for draft beer! 2 drinks and 1 appetizer $72 with 20% tip. Service is good and friendly. We showed up late so we didn't pay $5 each cover which is ok. Good place for parties. read more

Best cheesy bread ever!! Our group rented the karaoke room for 2 hours ($120) and had the best night! Melissa checked on us the entire time and provided amazing service. We enjoyed sitting the lounge for the piano show afterwards. We even got a shotski for our friends birthday! 10/10 night! read more

Definitely a fun place while in town. Went with my mom to see the "Jam Band" and had a great time. Good beer selection and a basic menu kept my stomach full. The music was enjoyable, and I knew most of the songs. They definitely cater to an older crowd for sure. The service was OK, just some confusion on the order, no big deal. Parking is a bit tight, so it helps to get there early. They also have Karaoke rooms available some nights. read more

Awesome band, 22N, for the anniversary at this Piano Bar. Unfortunately we ended up leaving early because the service was not good. On top of that our waitress (long black hair) seemed to be intoxicated the few times she did remember to check on us. We may try again on a regular night that is not a celebration. read more

88 Live is a cool live music and dueling piano bar in Bradenton. Highly recommend visiting on a night when Emily is performing. She is super talented, funny, and very engaging. She did a great job of interacting with the crowd and getting everyone up and dancing. If you don't go when she is there, you'll be missing something. The food was surprisingly good. All of the food surpassed my expectations. We had the wings, pizza, and salad. The wings were baked to perfection, pizza was thin crust and had good flavor along with the right ratio of sauce to cheese, and the salad was decent. This place is like 3.5 stars for me because the sit down setup isnt my preference, but I'm rounding up because Emily was awesome, service was decent, and the food was good. Check it out. read more

First time visitor and looking forward to our return. We have eaten at Sage Biscuit and Anna Marie Oyster Bar and never even noticed this place hidden away in the corner. Friends invited us to see Westbound & Down on a Sunday evening, and we had made reservations ahead of time. There is a large bar area and then the seating area, along with a VIP area, which looked comfy!! The tables all have chairs with casters and they are really comfortable. Our server was super friendly and brought our first drinks quickly. While enjoying the great music, we ordered the meatball appetizer and pretzel bites. The meatball was 2 meatballs, each on a baguette. The meatballs were good, but the price for 2 was a bit much. Later on we ordered wings and pizza. We asked for them to be delivered at the same time, but the wings came out 10 minutes before the pizza. The pizza arrived very over cooked, so it was super dry. We wish we had discovered 88 Live earlier in our stay in Bradenton! Live entertainment most nights and a really cool vibe. Our server Dawn, was amazing and took good care of us. We had the Bruschetta as an app. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. We also Ordered a pizza, thin crust which was also very good. Will definitely be going back next time we are in Bradenton. Have tried to patronize this place since it opened, really love the idea. Tonight was the last straw. After an hour at our table, I went to bar to try and get a second drink. Not that busy, went to bar, ignored. Went to door man, said love this place but thirsty, need a drink to stay. So, he said "then leave", so I did. Going to try and open some competition not so far west and will be sure you do not have an empty drink for 30 minutes after dancing which is supposed to be the idea! we have been locals for 3 year now and decided to try this place out and unfortunately it was not the best experience. to start, our waitress was trying to take care of way too many people. thankfully we were able to go up to the bar and order, but even when we tried to tab out for the couple of drinks we did get from her, she was no where to be found! she also had on a veryy short dress with a low cut top that made us a little uncomfortable. it was pretty crowded, dancing was fun thought and the band was great read more

Piano Bar Bingo on Saturdays is Adult fun. Presented by MC. John Smith (yes that's his real name) the banter is fun and the food and drinks are a great. Bar food is tasty served quickly. Awesome place! Food was amazing and so fresh & Hot! Bands fantastic, friendly efficient staff. Had such a wonderful time, returned 2 days in a row. I will be back next trip to FL. Sadly I have to change my review of this bar. I wanted to give this bar a chance. I love entertainment and have supported them in their ups and downs. I support Matt and Anne Coates. I'm glad they have finally Gotten their liquor license and kitchen soon. Love the entertainment that comes In but tonight was a disappointment. My husband and I wanted to stop in and see the new changes before we went home after work to support our friends. When my husband walked in towards the bar(didn't know a cover was already in place at 6:45 for an 8:00 show) the partner approached my husband about paying the cover she said if u can't afford the cover then "bye bye"! So very rude and no way to keep your locals who will keep u afloat in the off season! read more

We went with the intention of enjoying the entertainment for the evening. We were replaced in the bar area and could not hear or see the entertainment. It was loud for the purpose that we wanted to be there. Expense night. 2 drink minimum on top of $15 each for entertainment we couldn't hear. Little disappointed. Had a 50th birthday party for my wife here and I couldn't have been happier with the customer service and accommodations. The owner Sherry was fantastic and went the extra mile to make thd night special. Our server Dawn was equally accommodating and on top of things. The food was delicious with a good variety of options and served timely. I would definitely recommend having another event there. Good food, live entertainment, and great service. It was a great fun night out with a group of friends until the songs became vulgar, obscene and raunchy. So unnecessary. Would have loved to have a girls' night out there, but no longer a possibility. The menu is limited, but better than traditional bar food. Our server was great. Since when does a beer and wine 'bar' require a cover charge. If they wanted to make a Piano Bar atmosphere then they should foot the bill for the entertainment - not us! Reading these comments I wouldn't even give this place a try. We don't pay to enter a business to purchase beer, wine and have live music. Their choice - their responsibility! This is Florida, not a high class club by any means. Sad way to start a new business, good luck. read more

Very loud after 10 pm. You have been asked multiple times to keep your back doors closed after 10 to reduce noise. Clean up your act or police will continue to be called.

They've now changed their system and it is $10 cover, which I think is quite reasonable. We came at 10 PM on a Saturday night, and usually it isn't a cover for ladies after 10 PM, but this happened to be a special night. (It was Latin dance night after and cover increased to $20 at 11 pm) It was still well worth paying $10 for both my husband and me. Especially since the parking garage close by is free. Every song they played for that hour was a banger. They get a ton of requests, so either come earlier and put your request in or be prepared to pay to have your song played. They do try to get to every song and it was quite impressive seeing them fly through the songs of the very end. What really impressed me is one of the pianists learned a couple of songs by listening to them under the staircase and coming back to play it, because he hadn't heard it before. One of those songs was Golden from K-pop Demon hunters, which I absolutely love. I was very impressed that he picked it up so quickly and did a very good job with his limited knowledge of the song. It was a highlight of the night for sure. This place does get busy, but it doesn't feel overly crowded. You may not get a table if you get there late, but there's plenty of standing room and it is easy to get a drink at the bar. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys sing-along songs, so think songs from the 80s and 90s, and enjoys being part of a fun crowd.

I am writing in response to Tom T. Review of 88 live piano bar. Tom a middle-age older man was videotaping four 21 year old ladies in the VIP room making them feel very uncomfortable. They complained to the manager and Tom was asked to stop videotaping them. He was then asked to leave when he would not stop videotaping them. You can tell by his hateful speech and false accusations what his purpose is. This Piano Bar won the award As the best live music venue in Sarasota Bradenton 2022. read more
