The visit to the center was positive. Very good practitioner. I was a walk in and someone with an…read moreappointment went ahead of me. Did not have to take too long. I would have given the place a 4 on the day of my initial visit. However, today 10/14 I called and asked to speak to a practitioner as my sinus infection has not gone away. The person who answered the phone (a female) who indicated she was a clinical staff personnel was VERYYYY unprofessional on the phone and refused to give me her name. She should never be answering the phone for this urgent care. She never allowed me to talk to a practitioner. She indicated the practitioner who took care of me was not there. I asked when she would be back there. She acted like she had no idea. Which is BS every center, hospital, etc have schedules. But she refused to look it up. I would have liked to have talked to and been seen by the same practitioner that initially cared for me but, this female apparently does not care about quality of care!

After conducting a relatively thorough examination, the doctor surprisingly attempted to discharge my son despite his persistent fever and other concerning symptoms. With minimal inspection of my son's mouth, he then requested that I scrape out some bacteria for further examination. Following this, he began discussing vaccinations before leaving the room. Upon his return, he suggested the possibility of measles without providing any further context before exiting the room again. Subsequently, the nurse practitioner attended to us, and upon my request for tests, she attentively listened, examined my son promptly under 5 minutes, and concurred with the decision to run tests, which ultimately confirmed strep and scarlet fever. I didn't sit here with a fussy 2 year old for 3-4 hours to be turned away at first glance. Don't be timid, make your demands kindly and respectfully. Speak up for your child who cannot.

Huber Heights has made a HUGE investment in improving its Medical Center/Urgent Care facility, and…read moreit shows!! After so-so service in several facilities in the Springfield area, we decided to make the trip to this location when Mr. M&P needed a "once over" and his doctor wouldn't be available until later in the week. (DON'T get me started on doctors whose "on hold" message is how "ready and able" they are to see you at a "moment's notice!!" I understand they're busy, and would be better off just saying a polite version of "we'll get to you when we get to you...") There are (as far as I know) no larger hospital facilities bet. Springfield and Dayton, and this facility attempts to fill the bill, offering emergency, urgent care, and standard doctor office space in one convenient setting. On the Urgent Care side, there is a receiving area by the entrance (sort of a "triage") where they take your name. After a short wait, they call you in to the inner part of the facility, where you give your insurance info, etc., and wait a bit longer to see a doctor. I can imagine this place can get VERY busy, and we've had some pretty long waits in the past (FLU season!!) but I think we got lucky and/or the process has been streamlined and we did not have too long a wait on a Monday afternoon. For added convenience, there is an on-site pharmacy which filled several prescriptions for my poor Mr. M&P in record time!! I had to ding one star, because although their hours are probably the best in the area, they are somewhat limited on weekends/holidays. If you're in the area, and feel like crap, this place might be just what the doctor ordered!!
