Stopped in to check on my hand which I injured skiing while in Steamboat Springs. My regular…read morephysician was on vacation so I preferred an immediate looksee rather than wait for his return or the on call Doctor since I was leaving to return to Colorado Monday. Within 10 minutes of coming in the door, I was checked in and taken to an exam room where a nurse took my history and info about what I needed checked. The Doctor came about 15 minutes later, did the exam and ordered a booster of antibiotic to combat the minor infection that was part of the injury. In conversation I discovered his wife runs the kids ski school at Snowmass and was back in Dayton for a few days so we compared the snow conditions there and at Steamboat where I spend most of the ski season. They had me wait about ten minutes after the injection to check for any adverse reaction and I was on my way without wfurther ado. Great place for minor medical attention when you need a quick check or medical attention.

They want me to wait in line l, fill out the paper work, before they can check. I asked again, if she is for sure if they are in or out network, after I do all that procedures. She backed out saying she is not sure even after she checks. She gave me round around answer, not willing to even bother to look up., changed her answer each time when I asked the same question. She was so rude all these time. This is a terrible urgent care. Do not use their services.

I went in for a cough possible pneumonia or bronchitis and because I respectfully declined to be tested for RSV, FLU, and COVID I was immediately shunned. The provider told me I was not in the right place multile times, once I called out his offensive demeanor he started his exam which was standing to the right side of me to check my throat and NOT to say AHHHH- I'm not sure what he saw since he could not see in my throat, checked my ears from a distance, he did not listen to my lungs from the front only my back again from a distance. Then said he would order the chest x-ray and left the room. The front desk staff took my to x-ray- The x-ray tech was professional. My visit was finally uploaded to my chart to reveal the review of systems stated I was postive for chills, I had NO complaint of chills and it wasn't even asked of me. The ROS went on to say I had congestion and postnasal drip, AGAIN, this was not asked of me and I DO NOT have those symptoms. I went on futher in his notes for it to say I had myaligia (muscle pain), chills, postnasal drip, the cold air aggravated my symptoms, and that I tried OTC cough suppressant....Which ALL is INCORRECT!!! I went in for a cough only concerned that it may have went to pneumonia or bronchitis how I ended up with all the other symptoms is because I declined the RSV, FLU, COVID test. I was given horrible medical care. The provider made me feel as if I was carrying a deadly disease and he didn't want to be near me, so much for his medical oath! I have reached out patient relations at KHN-awaiting a return call. DO BETTER!!!!!!!

I would have given the place a 4 on the day of my initial visit. However, today 10/14 I called and asked to speak to a practitioner as my sinus infection has not gone away. The person who answered the phone (a female) who indicated she was a clinical staff personnel was VERYYYY unprofessional on the phone and refused to give me her name. She should never be answering the phone for this urgent care. She never allowed me to talk to a practitioner. She indicated the practitioner who took care of me was not there. I asked when she would be back there. She acted like she had no idea. Which is BS every center, hospital, etc have schedules. But she refused to look it up. I would have liked to have talked to and been seen by the same practitioner that initially cared for me but, this female apparently does not care about quality of care!

After conducting a relatively thorough examination, the doctor surprisingly attempted to discharge my son despite his persistent fever and other concerning symptoms. With minimal inspection of my son's mouth, he then requested that I scrape out some bacteria for further examination. Following this, he began discussing vaccinations before leaving the room. Upon his return, he suggested the possibility of measles without providing any further context before exiting the room again. Subsequently, the nurse practitioner attended to us, and upon my request for tests, she attentively listened, examined my son promptly under 5 minutes, and concurred with the decision to run tests, which ultimately confirmed strep and scarlet fever. I didn't sit here with a fussy 2 year old for 3-4 hours to be turned away at first glance. Don't be timid, make your demands kindly and respectfully. Speak up for your child who cannot.
