The place was originally $7 when I started coming here. It's a shame they had to bump up the price to $10 to keep the place intact. Additionally, not many people come or work here. It's just one lady, and she's really good at what she does. I usually come here for a fade and beard trim, which comes up to $20. That's a pretty good price compared to other barbers who'll charge you up to $30. If you're looking for a good and affordable cut, this is a good place to go. Highly recommend this salon. The stylist does a quick & amazing haircut. I was super pleased with the men's' haircut. In addition, a mom with 5 children came in : a baby and 4 little ones . Stylist was very welcoming to all & extremely pleasant. It is a hidden gem in Lombard Illinois as I saw a car with several more school age children with parent coming in for haircuts. Get rid of the old folks and add people who can actually cut hair and that have way experience than just applying for the job after cutting their own hair and deeming themselves as a "good barber". Never recommend this place price may seem good but the experience and quality are extremely bad, don't waste time because they are inpatient and rush everything. Wondering how some people seem to think that trimmed hair should fly up to the ceiling, instead of falling to the floor, that is considered unsanitary? This owner sweeps the floor full of hair before waiting on the next client. I have noticed that customers are very impatient while waiting their turn! And she moves quite swiftly! While she is cutting, styling, coloring, or whatever service she is providing to another customer, other customers walk right up to her; and start consulting about their own hair? This is very ignorant and unreasonable that these customers expect this hair stylist, to stop in the middle of what she's doing; and not allowing her time individually to each client sitting in her chair!? This stylist makes my hair look absoutely beautiful. I have had soooo many compliments on the cut and the color! You certainly cannot beat any of her prices! If you are unsatisfied, she will try and correct it, and refund your money! I would appreciate it if the customers would not be so hard on her, she does not deserve it! What a great haircut! I heard about this place and did an experiment this afternoon. I didn't tell my wife where I was going, see? I drove over to Lombard and the place was empty. The stylist told me to have a seat. Very nice older woman. I told her what I wanted. Ten minutes later she handed me a mirror to have a look at her work. I asked for a little more off the neck. Not a problem. Perfect! I drove home and didn't mention the haircut to anyone. A few hours later, during cocktail hour, my wife turned away from the news with David Muir and said, "Hey! You got a haircut. It looks nice." No prompting from me. I rather vaguely replied, "Oh yeah. I found a new barber in Lombard." I didn't tell her I paid $12...including the $5 tip! It's a $5 haircut so you get what you pay for. There's typically only 1 person cutting hair here so you're wait is hit or miss. Place is perfect for me who just gets 00, but I've seen women in here and watched her do a faux hawk today. Give it a try, and maybe get a slice from Zak's next door. read more

Was absolutely appalled and sickened by the hygiene (or lack thereof) in this place. Woman who cut my hair (right after giving 3 men their hair cuts) and didn't even sterilize her instruments. Just took a big brush and wiped the clipper and combs off. Used the same scissor on my hair as the previous customer without getting a sterilized scissor. Combs were not in those round blue containers with the sterilizing solution in it. Stay away from this place. Who knows what you are subjecting yourself to with such horrible unsanitary items used on your head. read more

FYI... it's 7$ haircut now. i went to the owner Sherry for a perm, and it was a disaster from beginning to end. She didn't apply the lotions and neutralizer properly, it took her 2 hours to wrap my short hair, because she stopped 17 times to do other haircuts while I waited. (Another man left with the hair color still in his hair, because he couldn't wait any longer to have his hair color rinsed out.) She never checked the progress of the curls on my head throughout. My hair turned to hay. Straight, no curl, and a horrible mess. She never combed or tried to style it, she put some mousse on it, and stuck my under a dryer till it dried like a mass of dried hay on my head. She asked for 75$, I gave her 40$. I told her she should give me complete refund, as NOW I NEED to go elsewhere and spend 100$ minimum to have it fixed, and cut short how I did NOT WANT. She offered no refund and or resolution. Do Not Go to this salon. She's all about cramming in as many 10$ haircuts she can do back to back, disregarding any services that require attention. i don't know if she used OLD product, or didn't put it on accurately, but three days later, my hair isn't curly, it's straight and chemically damaged. This was my first time and unfortunately my last. I wasn't greeted, when I walked in she was looking at the TV, but she was an ok lady. My problem was when I told her what I wanted she changed her fee for my haircut. I was charged $12 for my Bob cut, but where is the signage in her shop saying that prices may change? Etc. The sign says $7 haircuts on the outside, in hee shop and online. Thats false advertising if your going to up and change the cost of your haircuts. I've always driven by this place and wondered about it. Thought to give it a try. Sheery was the stylist for both me and my son. It was a very quick, efficient, no frills cut. But it looked as good as any cut from a Great Clips, Super Cuts or Sport Clips in my opinion. It can be a little uncomfortable having other customers waiting so close sort of watching with a tinge of impatience- but as a first experience, my mindset is certainly to return - at least when I know Sheery is working. I just walked out in this establishment fully satisfied. I walked in by 7:15 PM and walked out by 7:30 PM even though they're already two people in front of me. Say what you want, but this woman gives a quality haircut at a record pace. I was impressed with the amount of customer turnover she was able to do by herself. What would take about 45 minutes with for stylist at a great clips or a hair Cuttery, this woman was able to do by herself in 15 minutes. I respect her game. Although this is my first time coming to this establishment, I feel that I might become a regular here so leave because of how impressed I was with the quality of the timeframe she was able to perform in. I've been going here for over a year, so probably 12-15 haircuts. For the simple men's haircut I get it is perfect. The owner is sweet and knows me and my haircut. She is chatty sometimes, quiet other times which is fine by me. She ran a salon back in Iran, so I feel like that qualifies her to give me a haircut for $5. She has had trouble finding reliable help so it is usually just her, so if you don't time it right you may have to wait. Worth it for the price to me. This woman (she is the only one, there is no help, no one with her) does not know at all what facial means. She will just put bleach and hot steam on your face followed by a stupid, disgusting mask. No massage at all!!. And if you try to express how you feel about the bleach or anythign she would behave and talk back so rudely, in a sense insulting you and tellign to you to keep shut.
