I am always happy with the shape of my eyebrows when I come here but today I had a bad experience with both the owner (who was unnecessarily rude) and the lady who did my face. I paid, tipped and left without saying anything but be prepared to deal with attitude if you come here. I won't be back. Update- a day later I had Whiteheads all along my side burns area, I had requested threading only but the lady who did my face insisted on a waxing that area, even though I said my skin is sensitive. She brushed this off by saying she has seen skin that is truly sensitive. I am regretting ever tipping and thinking of going here. read more

I came here to get Mehndi/henna before a big holiday and was extremely disappointed in the outcome. They apparently hired a temp contract person for the evening to help out, but she was extremely inexperienced. I tried to communicate with her in both English and Urdu/Hindi but she didn't fluently speak either. I brought a sample design of what I wanted and her initial response was "oh that's hard"...what artist says that? It was a basic hand design. Her lines weren't straight, the design consistency was horrible, and worst of all she kept saying "no no, it'll get better, let me continue." I ended up only doing 3 out of 4 sides because I wouldn't let her touch my last side. I asked Delicacy for a refund and they said they couldn't offer one because she wasn't an employee and that she took all the money with her. Well my tip for anyone who goes to get Mehndi done is to always ask to see sample designs of the artist before she starts on you. If they can't provide that then likely they're not experienced. I won't be returning to Delicacy for Mehndi, and I advise you don't either. read more

So my normal go to threading place closed before I got out of work (cheers to 10 hour shifts) so I had to find another one immediately since I was going on vacation on the next day and luckily Delicacy was open until 7:30pm that night, sweet! It was my first time there so I did miss it on my first drive, however, upon parking I noticed it was well lit compared to the dim surroundings. There was no wait when I got there around 6:45pm and the lady that did my eyebrows took her time and worked on areas my go-to place normally missed, so I knew I would be please. After working on my eyes and lips and allowing me to take a look in the mirror I was happy with the outcome, possibly even more so than at my go-to so I'll definitely be back to give Delicacy another try and it just might be my new fave. read more

Recently went to the salon, it's a bit understaffed but the owner an older lady is very sweet and tries to deliver A++ service every time. Only drawback is one of the older ladies working there is sometimes rude and rushes through the work without taking care of the clients. If all employees can deliver same or better service this is the best place to go for all your hair removal needs. Well recommend place and long-time local business in Lomabrd for a longtime. read more

World Class Place!!!! Attention to detail in order to provide A+++ service to each client. Best place in greater Chicagoland to get your eyebrows done at such a discounted price compared to nearby salons and overpriced malls. They have recently renovated the place and looks amazing. I visited the place yesterday (12/21) around the same time as I believe another recent reviewer "Jenna S." If I recall correctly, Jenna was rude to the workers and not the other way around. Also her kid or someone related to her was laying on the waiting chairs with their legs up as they were at home. I had to uncomfortably sit next to her kid's legs, when she finally realized and yelled. Long story short this is an amazing place and I will definitely will be coming back. I've been going here for years because they are a reliable salon and the services are cheap since it's $8 for eyebrow threading and $4 for upper lip threading. At other eyebrow places, they charge $12 for eyebrows alone and they don't even tweeze the little hairs or trim your eyebrows. Here, they take their time and make sure the eyebrows are symmetrical and even on both sides. Unlike other salons, they actually trim your eyebrows and pluck the little extra hairs that weren't pulled by the thread. The place was recently remodeled and it is clean. The staff is friendly and nice and they remember you if you're a regular customer. Go to this place if you want to get your eyebrows threaded for cheap! read more

They RUINED my eyebrows. All I asked for was a cleaning, and they thinner them out so much. I never had my eyebrows so thin and cried there! They did nothing to apologize so I didn't pay. The store front of this salon is not very appealing being in a small strip mall off Roosevelt but this is a great place for threading. It's a small shop with great service. I've been to a ton of threading salons. These ladies do a great job and it's very inexpensive compared to most shops in the area and it's about 1/2 the price of salons in the city where I live. read more

I've been going to this place for years! I highly recommend two of the threading ladies but a few newer ones are not great (slow and painful and take out too much hair). Furthermore, the woman and her daughter who own the place are rarely welcoming or kind to me. Last time I came, they didn't acknowledge me (they seldom do) and when I left a tip with them the young girl at the register threw my tip on the table as though my money was not appreciated there. i should preface this by saying I am extremely picky with my eyebrows. I'm a perfectionist, I like my eyebrows symmetrical and I hate sloppy threading (I've gotten eyelashes pulled numerous times at other locations). This was my first time here based on positive reviews and because my normal place was very busy and I was crunched on time. The place looks clean which is good but no one was very nice. I didn't get greeted when I walked in and he last seemed irritated that I turned to wipe my shoes a second time after nearly slipping.. sorry I don't want myself, other customers or employees to slip? I mentioned it was my first time there as I did when I first started at my other salon. Other salon talked to me first, asked what shaping I like and how thin or thick, basically asking what my goal is for how I like my eyebrows to look. This woman ROLLED HER EYES AT ME and kind of shoved my shoulder back to lay down and just started on my eyebrows. Took less than 5 minutes, they look basically the same as before and was very persistent about a chin threading. I don't have a single hair on my chin and if I did, I'd pluck it myself.
