I booked a wax session. It was convenient, so I went in. I was annoyed at how many times they asked about add-on services. What was gross, was her using the wax strip over & over to wax (with residue hair and wax!) When I confronted her, she was speaking broken English and totally turned the question around on how they use new strips for each client! Lol well obviously... I don't recommend, and won't be returning. read more

You can make an appointment through Google or walk-in. I've done both and it was incredibly easy. The lady working there was incredibly nice and friendly. She was very skilled and had my eyebrows shaped within 5 minutes! This has become my new regular place to get my eyebrows done and would highly recommend to anyone else. read more

I live in the city but will be making the trip to Ayara in Oakbrook from here on out. I've been twice for threading and they do a great job at very reasonable prices. I'm tired of overpaying at other places only to walk out with uneven brows. I also just had tinting done for the first time and it looks great. This place is literally the best for eyebrow threading. If you are unhappy with the current shape or thickness of your eyebrows, just let them know and they will help you get them to where you want them to be. I've been able to change the overall shape of my brows to perfection over the course of several months. We all know how easily it is for one overzealous aunty to take off too much hair and how long it takes to grow back so I really, really appreciate that they take their time when threading and listen to my requests. Ive been going to get my brows threaded here for 3 years now. Today was my last time coming here. My son had to go to the restroom and they told me there was no public restroom. So we walked to the nail salon a few stores down and they were nice enough to let him use their bathroom. I go back to get my eyebrows threaded. As I'm sitting down in the chair a caucasian woman comes in and asked to use the restroom. Guess who wasn't told no So I made it a point to address them in a polite manner and simply told them I won't be back because of their blatant racism read more

Super happy I found this place! It was recommended on one of, (the sooo very many), local mom groups on Facebook. Great location off of 83 across from Oakbrook Mall, plenty of parking and building is very clean and maintained. The shop is also very clean and comfortable. She was able to get me in and out for threading and tinting on my eyebrows with out a wait. I love how they came out and it was super quick! Definitely my new go to eyebrow place, they also offer eyelash extensions facials and henna tattoos that I'm looking forward to read more

I'm a newer customer at ayara threading and am so pleased with the outcome each time I come in. I usually come from work for eyebrow threading and lip wax, the ladies are always so nice and efficient. This has been the only place I trust in a long time, I have tried to keep my shape thicker over the years and other places have threaded to thin over and over but at ayara they do such a good job at maintaining my shape and give me a great "clean up". I have been visiting Heni since she opened her Oakbrook location. I appreciate how much time she spends ensuring I like my eyebrows. Given the current COVID situation, I was hesitant to get my eyebrows threaded. I was concerned about the germs that would pass. When I read a previous poster's remarks about Ayara's new procedures, I decided my need was dire enough to try. Heni asked me to sanitize as soon as I arrived, and I watched her wipe down the area before and after I had my eyebrows done. Then, she did in fact have a new threading procedure that enabled her to wear a mask and thread using her chin. I felt the whole experience was very safe. read more

Coming here after COVID-19 outbreaks and finally getting my eyebrows done felt GREAT. Also major bonus points for the sanitation and having people wait outside who are walk ins. She's used hand sanitizer anytime she's worked on another client and came back to me- full mask as well as required for everyone else during their service or while waiting. read more

2 stars because I like my eyebrows. I came here to get my eyebrows threaded and a Brazilian wax. I made an appointment for the wax but decided to get my eyebrows threaded while I was there. The threading was standard, a little more painful than usual because she took her time. Then I went to get a Brazilian. The woman (I did not get her name, but she was a sweet older woman) started with no problem. I found it unusual that she would move my hand to pull my skin, but it made the wax less painful so I complied. She also waxed small bits of hair, which made the process longer. Then, out of the blue, her coworker came in the room to assist. Neither asked me or told me what the coworker was doing there so when I they asked how I was doing I told them that I was confused why they were both there. They told me that the initial lady didn't know how to use hard wax so the coworker was there to help. That's great, but how about letting the customer know and getting their consent for another person to be in there?! That was a very invasive experience. Plus, the wax took about 30 minutes. Very uncomfortable experience and they only gave me $5 off the service (I asked for more off). I will not be returning. read more

Great place to get your eyebrows done! $6 shaping on weekends. Can't beat the price. It cost me $16 to get a clean up & tint. Every other place in the area is over-priced. This is a new business.
