I called SAG and they said to call the payer and advise them to have the checks sent directly to me and I should send a check to the agency for their percentage. After I received the first check from the payer I called Priviledge. I explained to who ever answered that I had received no residuals he said they would get back to me. Carol returned my call and apologized and said they had lost my address (you can snicker here). "But Carol you been sending, and I have been receiving the other material you have sent." Ooooh that's on another computer". You've probably already guessed the outcome - after the final airing of the commercial I received a very nice letter from Priviledge that stated they were reducing the number of actors they represent and I could stop by and pickup my headshots at my convenience. The employee they provided ultimately did not work out - and I have no issue with that. What I do take exception to is that the employee was a no show on Day 11 - and having already previously spent one day without the employee - the individual had a car accident - and having had the individual late another day - LA traffic was claimed, we had decide that the training effort was much greater than we anticipated. Employee came as supposedly a very experienced front desk person. It became evident that the experience was likely more medical assistant - patient interaction and not administrative - so we planned to let the employee go. Since the employee did not show on "that day" - efforts to text/ call went unanswered - we essentially told the agency our plans, and the extensive back and forth by email - rather than by phone - escalated. My increasing unhappiness was due to the lack of actual staffing company to client audio communication - I requested a call more than once - particularly when it was evident we were changing the locks because we seemed to have no other way to solve the holday break - keys in the employee's possession. Another email received on that day was merely a "cut and paste" of the contract terms - "if you hand off any office posessions to the employee it's your problem." I understand that vetting someone can only go so far - but given the employees deficiencies on the job - and given the timing and urgency of the key/lock situation - Prohealth and Greg in particular frankly "failed the staffing test."
