Unfortunately, when I was moving, the lamp was damaged and every time I plugged it in it would pop a breaker. I called reward lighting and they were so kind and helpful. Not only did they rewire it and replace the lightbulbs in the sockets, but they added a weight plate at the bottom for more stability so it would be more stable (which I did not even ask them to do). I was treated with kindness and respect and they got my lamp working again and went above and beyond my expectations I will be coming to this business exclusively for all of my future lighting needs. The first lampshade didn't look right when we got home, so we called and they said come right on back. We made a successful exchange with their expert advice on size! I loved this place. I spent 15 minutes in the showroom while every salesperson sat behind their desks, pretending to be busy, not even bothering to look up or ask if I needed help. If walk-in customers are such an inconvenience, just put a sign on the door. I guess they don't need people who show up ready to spend money. I went to the store specifically because I prefer to buy local instead of ordering on Amazon, but after this experience, I'll gladly click "Add to Cart" online. Customer service: ZERO. I'll start with the end…read more I am thrilled with how my lamp looks, and I've gained tremendous knowledge regarding what to look for when rewiring a lamp. The story begins when I first brought in my Visual Comfort bedside lamp in early April after the switch started to feel as if it was overheating. Christy confirmed that the socket needed to be replaced. While the new socket was likely 'better' than my original, the flat plastic turn switch was (a) aesthetically not pleasing as the mate has a brass turn switch and (b) was not useable when laying in bed (literally, had to get out of bed to turn the lamp on/off). A little back-and-forth, some education on sockets/wattage that I didn't have prior, and legwork by Christy -- she was able to pinpoint a socket that was aesthetically close to the original, and worked better for my situation -- and I'm thrilled to have my lamp back home as good as new (possibly, even better). I am equally thrilled to have a relationship with a local, family-owned business I can trust to do the right thing. Will not hesitate to bring future projects to Quality Lighting and Accessories.

He assured me that the repair, including the anchors he installed, would support the weight of the clothing and items normally stored in the closet. Unfortunately, only about a week after the repair was completed, the entire system failed again and collapsed. The shelving and clothing ended up on the floor, creating a significant mess and forcing us to empty the closet once more. When I contacted him, he stated that the anchors he installed had held and that the real issue was that I needed an entirely new closet system. However, this was not what I was told when the repair was performed. Had I been advised from the outset that the existing system could not be safely supported or that a replacement was necessary, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision. What is most disappointing is that despite the repair failing after only a week, he refused to return and evaluate the situation without charging an additional service fee. I understand that not every repair is guaranteed forever. However, when a repair fails within days and the customer relied on the handyman's representation that it would support the intended load, I believe standing behind the work and at least reassessing the situation is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. **UPDATE: With respect to Mike's response, many of the implications are categorically false, namely, that what is remaining of my closet is still usable and "hanging". The anchors screws, and brackets have bent and are misshaped. He also indicated fixed my toilet for "free" when, in fact, he actually exacerbated the issue and spent no more than a minute looking at the toilet and twisting the float and fill valve. So the contention that he was being generous with his time is unfounded. With respect to the text messages he's alluding to, admittedly, he did indicate he did not warranty his work, but also claimed "I'll also say this, I've never hung any shelving in somebody's called me back later and said that it came down". Moreover, "I can tell you that it's gonna go in with anchors at hold 220 pounds each and there's probably gonna be three or four so outside of that hopefully it lasts a long time". That said, given the estimated weight of the closet was no more than 150 pounds, that was less than 35% of its intended total weight, which should've held it without incident. Moreover, it's only been one week as opposed to two since he performed the job Finally, the mere fact that he wouldn't return to audit the job or two provide structured guidance and repair onsite as a gesture of Goodwill is woefully inadequate.
