I'd give AR Williams a mixed but fair review…read more I initially called because I have a 7 to 8 year old Mitsubishi mini split in my garage that had stopped cooling. After calling several other HVAC companies that weren't interested in working on a mini split, someone else in the construction industry recommended AR Williams. When I first called, I was told they generally don't work on mini splits either. After explaining that I also had a conventional split system in my house that needed attention and that I wasn't interested in hiring two different companies, they agreed to come out and look at both systems. The technician who came out was excellent. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what he was seeing. He quickly determined that the mini split had lost its refrigerant charge. After adding R-410A, we were immediately able to hear the leak coming from the indoor head unit, confirming the system had a refrigerant leak. At that point, he discussed replacement options. They preferred replacing the system rather than repairing an older R-410A unit, while I decided I'd rather look into sourcing a replacement indoor head myself. My only real complaint is the pricing model. The technician spent roughly an hour and a half at my house, and the bill came to just over $600. Coming from the construction and service industry myself, I'm accustomed to straightforward hourly labor plus material markup. AR Williams uses flat-rate, software-based pricing where each task has a predetermined price regardless of how long it takes or the actual material cost. That's simply not a pricing model I'm personally comfortable with. I don't have any complaints about the technician or the professionalism of the visit. In fact, I'd happily have him back. My decision not to use AR Williams again is based solely on their pricing structure, not the quality of the people they employ. If you're comfortable with flat-rate pricing, you may have a different experience than I did. It just isn't the right fit for me.

First setting the appointment was a breeze with an instant text confirmation. I received a confirmation text when the tech was enroute. Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the issue and how he would fix it. This was a new home I bought 7 months ago and the previous owner apparently didn't do many services on the unit. He thoroughly cleaned growth that was discovered which I absolutely appreciated as my son has allergies. He called the owner "Adam" to get some pricing for a new unit installation. This ac of mine is 11 years old. So, it will be time to replace. The tech had me up and running within 30 minutes. System needed a flush to drain the pipes. Needed a cleaning. All done for a super reasonable price. They offered me about 8 options for a new AC unit and handled that ranged for Savings to super delux but did not push for a sale. Simply explained the benefits of each system. They honestly didn't have an issue recommending and suggesting a cost savings unit. So they aren't trying to bleed you dry by selling you expensive things you don't need. I greatly appreciate that. Lastly, this company is out of Lake Worth in West Palm Beach and I'm in Port Saint Lucie. They have no issues driving the hour to reach me. If you have an AC issue and want a friendly company that you can trust, give this company a call. Honest, professional , and very reasonably priced. I will use them any chance I get. They told me the inspector would be there between 9AM - 12PM. He was there at 9:01AM. He let me know that my ducts were BUSTED. Like really bad. Gaps everywhere, broken stuff. The "Miami special" he called it. Showed me videos of all the issues to verify what he was saying. Although at first I thought the quote they gave me was a bit on the higher end, after I saw everything they did I've changed my mind and think the quote was honestly very fair. They replaced all the ducts in my attic, hung them (they were lying on the floor before...), replaced all the vents, covered my entire house in plastic, added an air return to a bedroom, picked up all the debris when they were done, and did all that in just like 3-4 hours. Honestly these folks are incredible. Shoutout to Amit. Such a friendly and funny guy. He took the time to explain to me all the issues he was seeing and why they mattered. He was the first one in a line of guys to finally explain that the master bedroom was so hot (5+ degrees hotter than rest of the house) because it didn't have a return. Once they installed that it feels like I have a new house. I've never slept better.

A neighbor recommended a public adjuster, Rich Elliot, from Barclays and we were glad for that referral. He knew how to negotiate with the carrier and politely asked me to let him do his job and stay out of the mix. To make a long story short, he got us a a great settlement and was very good at negotiating even the smallest details. Barclays rate was very reasonable and his fee was easily covered by he final payments we received. I'd recommend Rich highly and i would hope the other public adjusters who work there as even half as good as him.

He was extremely responsive since day 1 (showed up to to my house within hours), so much so that I don't think I really ever had to reach out to him. He always kept me updated via phone, and texts (as I preferred and asked him to). He got the claim check to be 3x what the insurance company wanted to originally pay, because he knew ever single itemized item they could not argue for all the work that needed to be done throughout our house. For example, since our floorboards needed replaced, that meant the walls needed repainted, and since floors needed replaced, that meant we needed to hire a moving company, and that stuff (our stuff) needed storage somewhere while the floors were replaced... I cannot remember all of the details, but there was lots of stuff like that which I NEVER would have thought of or even known, so I'm extremely happy I had Peter handling everything for me. I trusted him with everything and I'm very glad I did as we got a lot more from the insurance claim which ultimately let us fix everything in our house that needed to be fixed. If you are hesitant, don't know what to do, and/or are frustrated with your claim process, just hire Peter, you won't regret it, I'm so glad I did.

I give this service 5***** I cannot recommend Suncoast Electric and Air highly enough. I had an electrical emergency late in the evening, and the dispatcher had an electrician sent to my home within a very short period of time. Greg Sinclair came out, addressed the problem, made sure everything was safe, and had my electricity back on in no time just for that evening. The problem was very serious. My whole house needed to be rewired. At least we had electricity that first night. Greg said he would be back at 8:30 the next morning to replace the whole electrical panel. This took him 10 hours. After he left, Greg turned around and came back because I had a concern. He was in my home for 2 more hours, and still was not finished. Greg came back the next morning, determined to figure out the wiring problem and fix it. His tenacity and work ethic is amazing. The wiring in some of these older homes is really horribly messed up. It is very difficult to untangle all the wires and put in a new box. All along the way, the dispatcher kept in touch with me to tell me what was going on. What an outstanding group of professionals, both in knowledge and in customer service. This is one of the best companies that I have ever worked with in my 70 years. STAY AWAY!!!!!! Completely unreliable! I had a generator installed literally a year and a half ago and they still have not gotten me the permit. They are completely uncommunicative and all I do is chase them. They were paid everything on time and according to the contract, but even after I kept my end of the agreement, they are not keeping theirs. They are completely irresponsible and forcing me to chase them to get my permit, and that is unreasonable and likely something in breach of their license. I recommend you find someone else as this has been an absolutely nightmarish experience, and completely humiliating. read more

Chris was able to send a technician, Greg Sinclair, the following day, which I appreciated as the room is very dark without lighting. Pricing is VERY high and they had been giving me a military discount of 10% This time my uncle, who lives in our condo, had to call them to set up service. He didn't mention military at time of "costing" When they came to do the work, I paid everything but the 10% figuring that I could just call them and have it adjusted. I was informed that it couldn't be done after "costing" so there wasn't a way to adjust it. Basically, what I was told was that if you ask for military discount, they mark up your estimate so they can give you a discount. There is NO discount. There is NO respect for military, fire, police, emt, etc. There is ONLY GREED!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They only care about the money.

Unlike some he said a down payment was not necessary and then confirmed he could get an installer immediately - Only a short while later the installation had been completed- fantastic service and exactly as promised ( daylight at nighttime)! Probably deleted the invoice they emailed so called customer service and again Terry understood and 5 minutes later have the invoice for our records. This is a first class professional service and i won't have to search for one in future - this company is now my go to help when needed!

Never added a pan at the base which needs to be done during install... I've had multiple problems with the new unit to the tune of every month lots of money .... Earlier this year they never came when I had an emergency ... boss never even called me back. Service person I knew and had number for was out to dinner and ignored me. My one person I knew left the company so I was stuck. Awful!!!! I think I was taken advantage of and sold a lemon.
