I've been meaning to write this review since Steve helped us about a month ago with a last-minute request right before a trip. It was in the middle of a very busy time for his business, but Steve was generously accommodating in squeezing in our small project in a tight timeframe. Our request was also a bit of an atypical one- we asked him to set up our manual pool valve on our automated sprinkler system so we could keep the pool level while we're away. I would highly recommend Steve! Steve is very responsive and came to check out my issues asap. I had other companies check it out and they gave me an upfront cost without looking in depth. Steve on the other hand was trying to save me money and carefully looked at everything piece by piece. (Very rare) He was very accommodating in his busy schedule. I asked Steve to take a look at our old sprinkler system because our sprinklers are on a hill and keeping breaking or leaking. He came out and immediately fixed the broken sprinkler in the middle of our hill by using parts of the existing sprinkler and a part from an old one that had broken and was still in our yard. He zip-tied it to the existing rod it was placed next to, for stability. He then adjusted our other sprinklers which were not aimed correctly. He mentioned how our yard is challenging because of the slope, but he was able to tweak everything so all 9 sprinklers are covering the entire hill. We asked if we needed to replace any of the sprinklers, but he said our current sprinklers are OK and to just save our money until one of them breaks. After reading these great reviews, I called Steve because I had some broken sprinkler heads. Sounds pretty straight-forward, right? But right away we couldn't get the sprinklers to turn on at all. Totally unexpected. After Steve did a bit of trouble-shooting, it turned out the problem was caused by a broken solenoid, which he replaced. I appreciate all the work Steve did and the extra time he spent diagnosing. He's a genuinely nice guy, honest, and knowledgeable. What a great experience I had with Steve! I don't know much about sprinklers, but noticed that a section of them I had were not popping up and spraying the area it was supposed to. Steve came out and tested all my sprinklers and gave me a thorough evaluation and was honest in telling me that everything was in great shape and that all I needed was a few minor adjustments that he did on the spot. He replaced one broken sprinkler, adjusted some valves, and gave me great tips on how to take care of my lawn as well as gave me a resource on how to get my landscape lighting functioning again. I noticed one of my sprinklers had a small leak, one sprinkler wasn't working, and 3 sprinklers appeared to be jammed so I decided to conduct my search on Yelp. I'm glad I found Steve from 911 Sprinkler Repair because he responded to my message/quote quickly and came out the same day to do a quick inspection. Steve is friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and reliable. He was able to identify the issues quickly and showed me what was causing my sprinklers to not work properly. He gave a rundown of the repairs that were needed and we set an appointment for him to come back to get the work done. I was amazed at the repairs that Steve did to my sprinklers. Went above and beyond and adjusted the other sprinklers AND reprogrammed my timer for better efficiency. No charge, said he would come back in a week to see if issue had resolved itself. Based on his excellent Yelp reviews and 5-star ratings, I contacted Steve @ 911 Sprinkler Repair for an estimate for drip irrigation conversion in our front garden and an assessment for making the large backyard lawn and garden more water-efficient. Steve showed up on time and was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He gave a thorough explanation of the best drip irrigation solution for the type of landscaping we have in the front garden, and a clear assessment and plan to make the backyard more water efficient, which included replacing existing impact arm sprinklers with higher-end, more durable, and more efficient gear-driven sprinklers for better coverage while using less water. As a rule of thumb, I usually get 3-5 estimates for any project, but in this case I knew Steve was the right person for the job and hired him immediately. In addition to the work above, Steve eliminated 5 existing sprinklers that were not necessary and just wasting water and pressure. He also found a couple of broken sprinklers that our landscaper was supposed to be "maintaining" and replaced those as well. His pricing was very fair and reasonable, he is patient and thorough with questions, and I love that he is a local, family-operated small business. Steve is honest, knows his trade, and uses the right high-quality brands and equipment to best match the applications needed. Highly recommend for all sprinkler needs! Steve from 911 Sprinkler Repair was the only one to respond to my emergency on a holiday weekend. Sprinkler valve broke and water to the whole house had to be turned off leaving us with no water at all. Steve responded to my text quickly and came over right away. Had a couple bad sprinkler heads and I didn't want to mess with them, so found these people on Yelp. They were only booked up a few days ahead, and the guy who came out was prepared to do the work, rather than just giving me an estimate like some other people. He was super fast and efficient, quickly fixed the two problematic heads, fixed another head that was wrong because a previous landscaper had just used what he had with him, and when I mentioned a dodgy valve we had, he replicated the problem and replaced that too. All told it cost just a little more than the retail price of the valve he replaced, it took exactly 5 minutes of my time rather than 2+ hours doing it myself, and I didn't need to go shopping for parts.
