Krystal, Jesus, and all their staff really provide professional, quality service and care for our yard and irrigation needs. We initially got started with them for a total clear out and clean up of our existing landscape and ended up sticking with them for weekly maintenance services and little projects here and there and have never looked back! Anytime there are issues, they are on it!! Today was another example - I asked Steve if he would just check up on my back sprinklers bc I noticed they didn't run Monday and when he did, he found a HUGE leak in one of our main irrigation pipes! Our house is kind of old and starting to need a lot of repairs so I wasn't completely surprised but the leak was pretty big. We had to turn off all the water to the house and wait for them to get one of their irrigation and plumbing experts over. Richard showed up almost immediately and had us all cleaned up and back in business in no time!! He even hung around to make sure all the leaking stopped etc. I was blown away - I figured I'd need to call a plumber and go through all that nightmare but no!! Grow Control took such good care of us! And this is the level of care and service we've received since day one! They're so fantastic- really takes a load of stress off my mind. Our project consisted of pouring 2 concrete slabs (1 along the side of the house and a second in the backyard), planting a boarder trim, and installing sprinkler systems in our back and front yard. Joel and crew completed all parts of this project with attention to detail and communicated effectively throughout. First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout out to the team lead managing the concrete part of our project. His attention to detail in recommending ideal drain setups in the sections where water had pooled in the past are exactly why we went Joel - we want to do things right the first time. After chatting with Joel, we installed the recommended drains, preventing a potentially expensive fix down the road. The rest of the project was completed with professionalism and Joel was great in communicating and working with our needs. Our one constructive feedback is that we did not receive a mock-up of the project before work was underway. For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. The people working there were so nice and helpful. They did not try to upsell me or make me spend more money than I had. In fact they did the opposite and helped me find something that was very economical for my budget. The place is impressive because they have a huge yard filled with all kinds of different rocks. They have everything from volcanic rocks to ones that look like they belong in Red Rock. They also have huge piles where you can haul rocks away in a truck for larger projects. I could not believe that they even sell giant boulders there. This is definitely my new favorite place for any rock or gardening projects. Then they pressured into signing day of, for an $8k discount or so. Pressure under time - never buy into it. Then they started calling. "Can get you this deal if you agree to do the worth between x months." It literally went down to $28k by the time I had to tell them I went with someone else. They only do pavers. Any additional work would need a different contractor to complete the work. Something as simple as capping an exterior gas line, demo of existing structure etc. they just weren't a fit for our project and what we needed.
