We visited this restaurant yesterday for our 4 year anniversary. Terrible decision! We made an online reservation and noted the occasion we would be celebrating. They completely ignored the fact it was our anniversary. Not one staff member congratulated us. Our waiter was less than average. Not only was he inattentive, he also stood right next to my boyfriend while he decided how much to tip. I am so saddened that we decided to give this place a try, especially on such a special day. It was definitely not worth the $100 dollars we spent on just the two of us. We have been to many Restaurants in Florida , New York and around the World. This is the best their is, especially for their Sunday Brunch. The selection is out of the ordinary, Champaigne served in a wine glass never ending, caviar, shripm, crab , omlette, full breakfast, selection of cheeses and full salad bar. Fish, lamb shank,ribs, lasagna, beef stew, vegs. steamed , roast beef and ham, and the best of all the Payella. It is to die for. And the deserts are wonderful. The staff is just great service you can not beleive. Table clothes, linen napkins always fesh and being replaced as they get dirty. Not just one server but three or four waiting on you. The owner and Manager as well as the Chef are greeting you and making you feel at home.. It is looking on the runway at the Miami Int Airport and you see the planes landing and taking off . I used to go to the 56th Fighter Group on Long Island (apparently now closed) and this place is a mirror image of that place. Apparently there are several of these restaurants started by an aviation buff after WW2 (probably long since taken over by a restaurant management company). The outside and inside decor are awesome. One of my only reasons for the 4 versus 5 stars was the ambiance the night we went for dinner. The whole point of this place is that it is a themed WW2 restaurant, so there should be big band music or other 1940's music playing...instead the background music was modern dance and hip hop which totally ruined the atmosphere. I understand in the bar area, but pumped through the whole place...NO! The service was a touch slow but no real complaints. For a restaurant located near so many hotels, the waiter should not be shocked when several co-workers out to dinner request separate checks. As for the food. The beer cheese soup is delicious, maybe could have been just a smidge thicker. The fried calamari were perfectly cooked. Crispy, tender, flavorful...I wanted more. It is fun watching the planes taking off and landing out of the huge windows and they have headsets for kids (and us nerdy adults) to listen to the air traffic control tower at Miami. Overall this place is great for things like birthdays and graduations and the occasional lunch or dinner. read more

Sunday brunch was pretty good, I've been here to brunch a few times. Brunch would not be complete without bottomless mimosas! I like that they keep refilling the mimosas every time you're low, its what makes my brunch experience perfect. They have a variety of food from seafood, beef and breakfast items. I love Aero Squadron for brunch. It's perfect because its just 1 price, 1 option and this way it makes paying at the end a lot easier when going with larger groups. I usually am not a fan of buffets, but this is beyond a buffet. I couldn't believe all the options they had! The seafood boat is one of the best parts. Can't beat spending $40 and being able to eat all the crab legs and shrimp that you want. Every time i go i eat as much as I can but still haven't been able to try everything! Me and my wife recently got married. We used them for a reception back on Oct 11th and let me tell you, I couldn't have asked for better service. Vanessa and Silmara were helping us out until the very end, and the staff was the MOST helpful I have seen in a while! Our event went without a hitch, and even went above and beyond our expectations. When someone showed up unexpectedly, they not only hooked up the table, but arranged two tables COMPLETELY again to accommodate!! THAT IS SERVICE!!! My wife and I have been coming here for 30 years and we love this place. Our favorite is the beer cheese soup. The ambiance is very nice and rustic. The restaurant faces the airport so if you get a window seat you can watch the planes take off and land. They also have headphones so you can listen to the tower communications. The service was very good and the food was spectacular as usual. My wife had the NY Strip perfectly cooked to her liking. Great variety for all types of eaters...from a cheese table, bread table, hot breakfast items, meat carving station, raw oysters, crab legs, peel & eat shrimp, waiters make sure your mimosas are always topped off, guy playing live music on his keyboard. Another great brunch experrience at 94th Aerosquadron today! The restaurant has had some changes inside that really compliment the place. The delicious variety of food, ambiance, music, friendly staff and especially manager, Juan Concepcion, really made our day. Mr. Concepcion is always very Mr. Congeniality with everyone, but is especially with us, or at least it seems that way! :) If you haven't been recently for brunch, make the time to go soon...you'll be glad you did. The last time I visited the 94th Aero Squadron was over 30 years ago, when it was a trendy nightspot. I had the chance to visit it again yesterday as part of a large group (close to 50) people attending a birthday brunch celebration. I was very impressed with the quality and selection of food as well as the service provided. The brunch buffet included a separate breakfast and lunch "smorgasbord" and they were both excellent. The price was a little high (over $30.00 per person) but if you are looking for good food quality food and lots of it, this is the place to go. Had a horrible experience last Sunday for brunch. Since we were greeted by our waiter we were told it was a maximum 2 hour stay. With other brunches in Miami ranging from $45-$90s you would think $32 is a gift, of course not, they offer mediocre food and unlimited mimosas for 2 hours. I went here today for the lunch buffet at someone else's request and I don't normally go to buffets. The food was just ok, good but nothing special. I started with salad and bread. The bread was cold and the pats of butter were actually in a big bowl of cold water. The ice had melted and no one dumped the water and put more ice. I had the roast beef and had to wait for about 5 minutes for someone to come out and carve it. It was also very tough. The roasted red potatoes and sliced vegetables were very good. I also tried the Ropas Viejas and the Cuban Beef Picadillo. Both were very good! I also tried the baked chicken with olives, capers and peppers. Again, it seems the Latin food is all good there. I also tried the pasta with tuna and peas which was also very good. Sliced Fresh fruits were fresh and food and I especially liked the red velvet cake. Iced tea was fresh and I liked the refills. The servers were attentive and efficient. I liked the seating slightly up and away from the windows where we could watch the planes!!! The price was very fair. This seems to be a very old Air Force facility from WWII (need to learn about this place), but the decor has a Spanish flair which takes away from the nostalgia of the place. Overall, just a mediocre experience. And in all fairness, I'll have to go again to see if I'd raise my rating. read more

The yellow rice was rotten. My entire party had to return the food and change all the rice for mashed potatoes. The part was of 14!! That's crazy.. This has never happened before. Maybe it was just this time. Maybe not. Has anyone ever had this problem here? The rest of the meal was Poor. The entire place was empty we were the only ones there for dinner. We ordered the steak chimichuri cooked to perfection (medium rare). Their beer cheese soup is a must try, but the escargot here is so yummy. Always my pick. Topped off with your choice of desserr. Visited this landmark for lunch and it definitely did not disappoint! The minute you walk in the decor transports you to an elegant era of yesteryear. Being that it's located by the airport landing strip the view is very nostalgic as you see the airplanes come and go. The service was very detailed oriented, polite and sophisticated. We debated over the amazing lunch buffet with its scrumptious looking dishes or a la carte. Decided a la carte and ordered the Spanish appetizer which had a good sampling of Spanish cheeses, hams, olives and grilled peppers. The Curassco Steak was the main course that comes with two sides. The steak which was enormous was grilled to perfection. It was also tender and and seasoned just right. The vegetables however were no match for the succulent steak since they were very bland in taste. The dish presentation showcased the steak quite lovely and looked like a work of art. Unfortunately, I didn't leave room for the dessert that looked extremely tempting. However, I promised myself I would next time around. Surprisingly with everything positive I've mentioned the prices were fair. The buffet was priced at only $16.00 per person which is great. And despite as I mentioned that we ordered a la carte steaks the bill was under $40.00 for two. That included the drinks an appetizer and the two main courses. Came here for a baby shower last moth, we had a pretty big sized room and a dancefloor to fit all the guests. The food was buffet style where guests had to pay $20.00. There was a plethora of salads, fruits, main courses were picadillo---very good, salmon, also yummy, grilled chicken wings, roast beef, crab, different pastas, lasagna, yellow rice,maduros, desserts that included arroz con leche, good but there was chunks of rice, german choclate cake, cheesecakes, brownies, etc. Seemes to be a nice intimate setting but next to the airport is not such a great view. read more

I came very early in morning so there was no line outside, Everything was very clean. Some of the food looked like it was pulled out from the previous day, but not bad looking. I don't know who eats pork, rice beans stuff like that at 8 am but it was there. the Shrimp in shell looked okay but not enough that I was willing to risk to try it. The Oysters I saw there was grit on it so again I didn't get it. Now everything else WAS AWSOME!!!!! the omelette station was great again I was there early so no lines, but midway of my breakfast it got packed and a lot of people was growing impatient being only one person at the station. The price here should be $$$$ NOT TWO because it is very expensive for the things I did see with my own eyes. parking is horrible but it is because of the construction and customers should not be allowed to park along front door cause they are too lazy to walk, it obstructs parking and surprised there hasn't been accidents... or maybe there have been. read more

A very varied, eclectic Sunday Brunch! Bottomless mimosas a plus (although I couldn't partake since I'm pregnant). I enjoyed the lamb (yes for brunch lol) and the eggs Benedict were good (but runny a lil bit). Decor is very cool. I would like to go for dinner, I think it could be romantic and less crowded than on a Sunday. That's the downside of going on a Sunday, how loud and crowded it gets. Went yesterday for brunch. We had a great time. The food was amazing and they had so many options. The mimosas were pretty good and not the usual water down stuff you would get at a bottomless deal.
