An absolutely stunning room overlooking a Donald Ross golf course, at the iconic and historic Biltmore Hotel. A well stocked bar, and a first class grill. Attentive and efficient service, and then I mentioned the stunning setting.

    Blackened yellowtail sandwich

With Miami finally experiencing cool weather, we sat outside and enjoyed a nice lunch with a beautiful view of the golf course. The blackened yellowtail sandwich was the best thing at the table! My youngest son ordered it, and it was such a big portion everyone was able to take a bite! It was great. There was a pickled mustard seed sauce that came with it. That was a little overpowering so we didn't use it. My son used ranch instead. I ordered the fish tacos and they did not disappoint either. They had a nice portion of fish. (which I can't say for the Biltmore shrimp tacos served poolside with barely 2 shrimp per taco!) My husband had the tuna salad wrap, and he was not impressed at all. He didn't even finish it. My oldest son had the Caesar salad wrap and though it was a little better than the tuna salad wrap it wasn't that great either. The waffle fries were a little chewy. Either way, we are locals and love dining at the Biltmore so we will be back to try some new things.

Relaxing spot to meet up with family and reconnect over Bloody Mary's, brews, and Sunday brunch…read more Fun outdoor crowd -- the soccer team was in town and enjoying themselves at this spot. Live music on the inside. An upscale and chill vibe in Coral Gables. I went on the lighter side with a local brew, La Tropical from Wynwood, Miami and an Americana wedge salad -- herbed ranch dressing, blue cheese, slow-roasted tomatoes, and bacon. Perfect before enjoying the rooftop pool. The rest of the party enjoyed a Brunch Burger, Eggs Benedict, Open Face salmon bagel while the kiddos indulged themselves with a wood stone oven cheese pizza. This will be an unforgettable, cherished memory. Cheers.

They make it easy to get reservations online and were even able to be seated earlier. The service is amazing. For dinner, we had on our reservation that it was our anniversary. Usually restaurants don't do anything but they surprised us with a free champagne toast. How nice. They were very kind. For dinner, we split the Mediterranean salad, which they were nice enough to split for us, along with margarita pizza. Everything was amazing. For breakfast, we enjoyed the fruit, healthy start meal, and pork bowl. The vibes here are nice and you can sit outside, which we did both times. Usually hotel restaurants are just so so. But I highly recommend this one.

Brandon truly stands out--he's incredibly attentive and seems to have a handle on everything and everyone, making the whole experience seamless. The food is consistently great, and it keeps me coming back. And Thursdays? Jazz night takes it to another level. I enjoy supporting local businesses but, unfortunately, this one misses the mark…read more Service - 1) We patiently waited to get seated, all while the bartender kept looking at us without even a greeting or a "someone will be right with you." 2) Our server was polite but his service was inattentive. At one point, I saw him place, one foot at a time, on a chair to tie his dirty sneakers and not caring to wipe the chair down when done. He did, however, break a smile towards the end of our meal, just around the time our bill came. Ambiance - Yes, it has a pub feel but there's nothing stellar about it. I know it's a neighborhood staple, but the pizza place next door had all its customers. The place was half empty when we were there. Food - My husband told us about the Tuesday deal: $8 hamburger with fries so we went to try it out. * Hamburger - lacked seasoning and flavor. Bread was hard and everything is, thereafter, à la carte for $.75 or $1 so it's actually $8 plus. * Fries - salty * Caesar salad - salty * House wine - $8 for what seemed like a 6oz pour. Overall, this place was a pricey disappointment; but then again, I'm not at an age that dines solely on crafted beers, thus, will notice the poor service and food.

That sandwich absolutely delivered. The bread was fresh and soft, the chicken was perfectly crispy and not too "chickeny" at all (IYKYK). Easily one of my new favorite chicken sandwiches. My friend and I also shared the deviled eggs, fries, and creamed corn - all of them slapped. She ordered the caesar salad, which she loved. I tried a few bites and felt it had an unexpected umami, almost Asian-inspired twist. It was definitely unique, just not my personal favorite. We grabbed seats at the bar and the service was top-tier. Every bartender and server was super warm and attentive. While we were there, you could tell regulars kept popping in and greeting the staff by name, which I think really says something about the place. You can tell Hillstone has built a loyal following and I think it's for good reason. Safe to say this won't be my last visit!

Even though we had reservations, we had to wait over 30 minutes. Once we were sat down, the service got much better. To eat, we shared the grilled artichokes, spicy tuna roll, barbecue ribs, Thai chicken salad and tres leche. Everything was tasty but my favorite was the Thai chicken salad. It was a huge portion and not a plate you can find at many restaurants. The tres leche was a perfect end to a delicious dinner. To drink, I ordered a Stella, which was refreshing. The service at the table was great. We were there for hours talking and not once did we feel rushed. This is definitely a great spot to come whenever you want something good to eat in the Gables.
