Its so bad y'all play the same songs over and over. Y'all played "Sticky" by Tyler, the Creator. And I said "I bet doechii is gonna play next." And guess damn what? Doechii, denial river starts playing. It's so annoying, it's the same damn songs. It's billions of songs, so why are you playing the same 5 songs. Only songs y'all play is Tyla, Tyler the Creator, Doechii, and Kendrick Lamar. Like play something else, I thought this was supposed to be "my favorite radio station" y'all drag songs. I don't even like some songs anymore. And I love "Like Him" by Tyler, the Creator. But you guys cut it off at the best part and at the part where he says "You gave me love and affection." This is one of my favorite radio stations. I usually listen in the morning when I have to go out. I like the morning show with Greg and Benny the best. They are a funny group and I especially like the ghostbusters segment where they find out why people get stood up after dates "ghosted". The stories are unbelievable! Come on guys get a clue lol. I also like love trap where they catch cheaters. Plenty of relationship drama there. I also like when they call Greg's mom Ginger in Texas. She is quite the character. Funny and witty every time! 99.7 is THE best radio station in the Bay! Absolutely. I love listening to Greg & Benny in the morning. But St. John So Fierce is HILARIOUS! And I had the honor and pleasure to meet him a few years back at a Cinco de Mayo party at Dave n Busters. He was so nice & got a photo with him too :) Lucky me! I love St. John So Fierce. His amazing energy, hilarious personality, and quick wit always keeps me going during my evening commute home from work. The DJ's play great music overall. Happy listening!! My last ex girlfriend listens to this music station every morning. In 2018 I used to listen to this station a lot because I work in San Francisco doing night shifts as a Muni station agent. My last ex really love Greg in the morning because he does a super job of getting her energized in the morning. I know Greg always likes to make people laugh, guess that's why many people like him in the morning. This radio station also has many great giveaways. I won a few and they are really uncanny. For me I used to listen to Mr. Reid. He's in service till the end of my shift which is super nice because my work can get real boring without any traffic. On Fridays, he serves with a guy named D.J Espinosa. Mr. Reid has a very boisterous spirit that would make anyone's night. My ex broke up with me in 2019 but I know someday I would meet Fernando and tell him to give her a big shout-out and thanks for listening. read more

I had to quickly review this place because well they are starting the contest again...Topless Summer!! I started listening to this radio station when Baltazar and Maria were the ones who hosted the morning show. Oh how they've grown. Now the morning show is hosted by Fernando and Greg (two gay guys) who I think is hilarious and makes 99.7 what it is. They also have Letty B., Strawberry and St. John. Many of you know Strawberry and St. John from the other popular Hip Hop/Pop radio station. The only down fall I have with 99.7 is they play the same music over and over again. To the point they play it out. That you get sick of the song. I think that's why I like the morning show because Fernando and Greg are so interesting. I actually got the chance to try and win the VW Convertible. It was exciting, I was caller #9 during Letty B's show. The drawing was done at Dave and Buster in Milpitas. According to the rules it was from 11am-1pm. Any one after 1pm who checks in will not be able to participate. That was so not true in this case. They were letting people check in way past 1pm it even went close to 2pm. They provided a buffet lunch and a $20 D&B game card for both you and a guest. Once the drawing started. Only the person who won the contest was allowed to stay in the room, the guest had to leave the area. They slowly called out the numbers and if your number was called then you were eliminated and you leave the room and collect a parting gift (nothing exciting). I was #14. I think I was 1/2 of the people that was there. So close but yet so far. If you are the last 3 remaining, you get an actual key and you take your chances in starting the VW convertible located outside. In the end it was fun and I finally got a chance to put a face with a voice. 99.7 is a cool station, just need to have a variety of more songs. read more

What the heck happened here? Back when they first started, Movin' 99.7 was the spot on the dial that satisfied my daily craving for a little Boy George, New Radicals, and Thompson Twins mixed in with some New Jack Swing classic artists such as Hi-Five, Guy, and Soul IV Real. It was like the newest incarnation of our beloved defunct Top 40 stations from days of yore - KYUU, KWSS, Hot 97.7 and Z95.7. Well, as the trend will indicate, Adult contemporary/Top 40 stations do NOT survive for very long in the Bay Area. Sad to say, but Movin' is no different, and has now seemingly turned into Wild 107 redux. Apparently, this is what draws in the ratings in the Bay Area. As much as I like St. John, his arrival was a sign that impending doom was near. As far as commercial radio goes, we are now stuck with a plethora of "urban youth" stations, and not a single one in operation for Top 40. Now, I can enjoy a little "hit pop" and R&B as much as anyone, but is it really necessary to have 3-4 channels simultaneously bumpin' Souljah Boy and Plies five times per hour? Fortunately, for those in the East and South Bay, there is always the almighty 89.3 KOHL radio (http://www.yelp.com/biz/kohl-89-3-fm-fremont) based out of Ohlone College, one of the best stations of any sort in the Bay Area. read more

I commuted an hour to work every day for a few months and listened to Fernando and Greg every morning. I skimmed through the other stations when this station had commercials but this one was the funniest and most entertaining. I love the games they have like Homo vs. Hetero and listening to calls with Greg's mom Ginger. It's also a great talk show to catch up on current events. I go to trivia occasionally and found that I got more questions right after listening to this show every morning. The music on this station is great and I don't get annoyed by the same songs being played on repeat too often. I usually switch between this station and LIVE 105. read more

I started listening to 99.7 just last year. I seen the booth at the Fremont Arts & Wine Fest and I thought they played a good variety of music from "today and back in the day" which is what radio stations should do. (Gives you that flashback feeling when you hear that song you listened to like 10 years or so ago) I love the morning show and for once, I'm able to get through because they answer the phone. I love it that Perez Hilton calls in and gives out the latest dirt. The love trap it just awesome. Its what I listen to all day, 8+ hours - thanks to the radio on my desk. I'll put it this way: I don't go clubbing and hardly ever dance but 90% of the music on 99.7 makes me want to get up from my chair and dance like only a white man can. The quality of the music ain't exactly high, but it is fun and entertaining. If you want to get yourself in a good mood, this station is perfect. I heard Seduction's It Takes Two on 99.7! Not "It Takes Two" kick-ass, universal work-out anthem from Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock. But whiny, nasaly and obscure It Takes Two from early 90's girl group Seduction. I got excited--perhaps abnormally so--but 99.7 makes it almost acceptable for me to rock out in my car to these old school beats. Until I see the 20 somethings the next car over, laughing at me. 2011 has been a fairly tragic year for me: My parents died in a jet skiing accident My girlfriend left me for another man and woman My dog sleeps with cats I lost my testicles in a meat grinding accident But there's one tragedy that outweighs them all, and that's when my beloved FM transmitter died. Ever since that tragic evening, I've been forced to listen to the radio, and god the radio sucks. 99.7, 94.9, 102.5, and 106.1 all suck ass, but I'm gonna focus on 99.7 because they are the worst of the worse. I have a driving job, so I listen to the radio a lot, and I swear 99.7 plays the same 8 songs over and over again. Boom Boom by Nikki Minaj, Lupe Fiasco, On the Floor with J-Lo, and of course I can't forget Black Eyed Peas because I think about it every night and day. I effin hate all those songs and they make sitting in traffic horrible. To make matters worse, they claim they are better than 94.9, which isn't saying much, but they're the same effing thing. Some of you may not know them (they are not Perez Hilton btw), but they are hilarious and will brighten up your morning commute. I'm waiting to see whether this station will play any electronica, but I can tell you that 92.7 is on my bad side, in other words, off my presets. I grew up listening to KMEL and Wild 94.9...I actually remember the day they moved from 107.7 and played Wild Thing all day. My husband and I moved from the Bay Area (where we were both born and raised) at the end of 2002 and didn't return to the area until the end of 2009. So of course we reprogram our car stereos to 106.1 and 94.9 and as we're auto scanning we come across 99.7 and figure, eh, let's just throw it on there. I can honestly say I never listen to KMEL anymore and I only turn on 94.9 when there is a commercial on 99.7. It's just my go to station. I also teach spinning and TRX group fitness classes and I love listening to 99.7 for great remixes that I can incorporate into my workouts. read more

I definitely liked this station a lot better when it first started. It has slowly turned into more of a top forty station. I still enjoy rocking out to it while I'm on my way to work. I mean, who can say no to a little Gaga at 7:30 in the morning. The real reason that I listen to this station over 94.9 is because of Fernando and Greg. I was an avid listener of 92.7, once again because of Fernando and Greg and now that they have moved and I don't have to stream their shows online, I am a devout listener of Movin'. They brighten my morning. I adore their humor and how they constantly pick on Jason. If you haven't had a chance to listen to the magic that is their morning show, please take my advice and LISTEN. Coming back to the Bay from LA after going to see Mariah Carey in Anaheim at the last minute for some special fan-only event (Yeah, it's like that), my friend and I were flipping through the stations after wearing out both of my All Mariah mix CDs. Imagine my surprise to hear Vogue by Madonna playing on what I thought was an Oldies station. I was like, OMG is 1990 Madonna considered oldies already? Oh My Janet, what does this portend!??!? I worried and ruminated on this new bit of information while striking poses for about 4 minutes. Further imagine my surprise when they then started playing "Show Me Love" by Robyn!!!!!!!! WHO PLAYS THAT SONG ON THE RADIO?!????? Robny, in case no one knows, is who I would consider the original purveyor and princess of the late 90s pop movement in America. Before Britney, before Spice Girls, before Christina, there was this Swedish girl who wore faux-fur trim with moon boots, and she was Robyn. And then, to my utmost glee, they followed this with "My Lovin' (Never Gonna Get It)" by En Vogue. It was like Divas Heaven. Seriously. Funky. A couple of days later, I did further research and so learned that KFRC is now "Movin' 99.7" a Rhythmic Hot AC station! Awesome! Further awesome? I freaking love their Early Morning Quickie mix. It helps wake me up for work at the ungodly hour of 6:30 am. Really weird, I love this station at home but not in my car. Maybe because they play more dancey-stuff in the morning and night when I'm home (my life is oh so exciting) and more 90's in the afternoon, the times I tend to drive. From the promos about their shows (Ball Buster-prank calls, Love Trap), I don't think I want to hear them talk. Sounds too juvenile/taking advantage of people's personal problems for me. "Music that makes you feel good" is their catch line and i must admit they truly live up to it.Let it be 80's 90's or the current hip-hop the songs they play are always peppy and keep your adrenaline pumpin' and there's never a dull moment. I first Discovered this radio station in Seattle and instantly got hooked to it and what a nice surprise it was to see this radio station launch in San Francisco. They still do not have Inhouse DJ mix/specials like 92.7, but kudos for bringing the almost forgotten dance songs from 80s and 90s the kind of songs i grew up with. Stumbled onto this little station a few weeks back and been listening to it mostly at work. Playlist are "danceable" pop/R&B/hiphop with a little disco to round it out. So the songs can represent a large time frame from the 70's - the present. Example from today: ODB's "baby got yo money" to Nelly Furtado's latest hit to Expose's "Point of no return" to old school MJ's "Rock with you". All back to back. With a little caffeine in the morning, my toes are tapping while memories are being uncanned as certain songs I haven't heard in a while, bring me back to a certain time. Aaahh the joys of aging. I ain't gonna fight it, I'll just continue to shake my money maker to the beats of this station. Hope they last a while. It's a tough market. read more

I can't front, Moving 99.7 has been my favorite station since I found out about it. Sure it's pop music but geez where else can you hear such a variety of music? The one thing I really enjoy about 99.7 is that they not only play today's hits but also from yesteryear. Now I can hear some of the freestyle classics that I used to always hear my sisters play!! Stevie B anyone? Are they playing Diamond Girl on the radio? Oh shit!!! Hot tracks from my middle school and high school years, Hi Five, Young MC, Real McCoy, etc. etc. The one thing I find interesting about their playlist is that they're playing hits that you haven't heard in a while. For some reason, radio stations still play some old hits ALL THE TIME (red red wine, genius of love, nuthin but a g thang) but other hits just kind of fade away and groups who had these hits just vanish into air only to be remembered by those from that era. Movin 99.7 ressurects all these great hits!!!! The negative and I guess I can't fault movin 99.7 is that the sole oldies station is no more. I like to listen to some Louie Louie or some Beach boys every once in a while. Funny thing is that KFRC oldies took over X-100 when I was in like middle school and I got pissed because another pop station got taken over by some old crap.
