During the first visit, the spray arm assembly was replaced even though that was not the issue we originally called about. The drain line was also cleaned. When the dishwasher continued to not drain properly, he came back a second time and told us the drain hose was positioned incorrectly and adjusted it. The dishwasher appeared to drain while he was testing it, but once we actually ran a normal load of dishes, we were right back to standing water in the bottom of the machine. I gave Cody another chance to fix it and he has completely ghosted us. The photo attached was after the 2nd time he "fixed" it. I understand that appliance repairs sometimes require troubleshooting, but after paying $220 and giving Cody 3 opportunities to address the original issue, I expected either a working dishwasher or a clear diagnosis of what was actually wrong. Instead, we are out $220 and still have a dishwasher that does not drain. Very disappointing experience.

There was no sales pressure in our multiple visits, and they provided feedback from their customers, good and bad, on the various models we looked at. The price was the same as everywhere else - Bosch does not allow discounting - so that's not a factor. We deducted two stars for the incredibly poor "installation" job. By the time the delivery guys left, claiming the floor would have to be modified for the range to fit (into our standard size and height cabinets), we were glad to see them go, even though the range was sitting in the middle of the kitchen. We checked the electrical connection before we finished the installation ourselves. There was no strain relief installed, which is a violation of code and not in compliance with the range installation instructions, which warn repeatedly not to use the range without a strain relief. (The strain relief provides protection against damaging the terminals on the range if the cord is yanked, and keeps the cord insulation from being cut by the sharp metal on the cabinet.) We called Atlantic, and the response was "we never bother with the strain relief." It is unsafe and unprofessional to neglect this. What's more, the delivery guys damaged the electrical knockout beyond any normal repair. We came close to declaring the unit dead on arrival and returning it. But then we would be without a range, so we spent the next several hours making a safe and secure electrical connection and adjusting the leveling legs for a good fit. The result is the range looks good and works perfectly, and we are trying to forget about the botched installation. DO NOT let Atlantic install or even un-box your range. They simply throw out parts they think are unnecessary (the anti-tip bracket, for example) and go on their way. Do the (simple) installation yourself, or enlist a knowledgeable friend.

I called Archer's Appliance because I had a dryer that was shutting off due to overheating. The…read moredryer was also causing a lot of vibrations even with a light load of laundry. I did some troubleshooting on my own and the overheating was likely caused by a clogged dryer vent. I cleared the vent but I was still worried about the safety of the appliance so I wanted to have a professional do some troubleshooting. I scheduled an appointment for a Monday and due to some circumstances I had to call on Friday evening after normal hours to reschedule. Melody with Archer's Appliance called back on Saturday and was very polite and helped me reschedule. When the technicians came out for the repair, they discovered they couldn't access the dyer because of a cabinet that had been built around it. The cabinet provided no clearance to actually pull out the dryer due to how it was bolted to the washing machine below it. I felt bad about wasting their time, but they recommended that I hire a carpenter to rebuild the cabinet and then they would come back. I found a carpenter to do the job, and Jeffrey (technician) came back promptly and was able to properly diagnose the dryer and make sure it was working properly. He also tightened the frame so that it didn't vibrate as much. Despite having to come back for a second visit, they didn't charge me extra and I really appreciate that. The company was very reliable and communication was excellent. I felt bad about rescheduling on short notice and requiring them to come back a second time after the carpentry work was completed, but they were very understanding. They are definitely on my preferred list of vendors!

MY experience…read morewas a pleasure from the time I booked an appointment on their fantastic website until the time I got their receipt via email. On their website I was able to explain the problem (clothes not drying properly), give the make and model of the appliance and choose a window for service. They promptly followed up with an email confirming the date and time and the technicians name, John. On the day of service I got an additional email narrowing the window of the visit, a text from John giving just about an exact time he would be arriving and another text from him saying he was 5 minutes away (giving me ample time to corral the dogs and kick 'em out back). Upon arrival he went right to work running several diagnostic checks. Ultimately he determined that it was simply a matter of me suffocating the dryer because it was too close to the wall, crimping the exhaust hose. He then proceeded to meticulously, and with great skill, move the dryer forward 3 inches, run another test and pronounce that the problem was solved. He did not bill me for anything other than the dryer's duct cleaning which I had also been able to request while submitting my service request online. John was professional and personable, while I felt like an idiot. I would definitely recommend Mr Appliance of Leland for major appliance repair. As I said before my experience, from booking through the visit, was a pleasure. Thank you John. UPDATE: I finally got around to reading the other review and am just wondering why that person didn't do the research BEFORE the service call. I personally felt like an IDIOT for not doing same as I'm POSITIVE the first suggestion would have been to check the hose. Oh well, I needed the duct cleaned anyway. Based on a simple Web search, after pushing 2 buttons the Controller Board is NOW RESET and the unit is working perfectly fine again. When I called the Mr. Appliance manager and asked for a refund for such an incompetent service call - he refused to do so. BEWARE - Mr. Appliance offers neither expert service, nor acts in an ethical manner.
