It's basically a discount store. They have almost anything you can get at any other cheap store. They have different types of merchandise, but it's mainly the basics. They have toys, school supplies and things for the house. They sell the selfie stick but I'm not sure for how much. They have make up and nail polishes on the counter. I noticed some perfumes, but those cheap ones. Probably won't be buying that. My little brother loves this store because I always grab him a toy and there cheap so good for me. They also have snacks and drinks. It's a place to grab something you really need last minute. The lady at the front is a little rude. It doesn't seem that she wants to be rude, but she is. I bought a pair of leggings last minute because mine ripped. I asked her if she had any and she asked if they were for me. I told her they were so she said no we don't carry your size. I asked ehat size she had. She said it was one size but it wasn't going to fit me. I told her I would buy it anyways. I put it on in the restroom and came our wearing it. They have a ton of different things, just like any other 99¢-type store, and the aisles are actually pretty organized, which I really appreciate. Prices Are a Hit or Miss Most items are reasonably priced, but some things feel a bit too expensive for a discount store. For example, I found something my son really wanted, but it ended up being $3 cheaper at another store nearby. On the other hand, I did get a cute lip gloss for $1, which is exactly what I expect from a discount place. But then there were wallets for around $6 that I didn't think were worth that much. So, definitely a mix. The "Amazon Return" Section They have one of those big wooden bins in the middle of the store with random items like those Amazon return boxes you dig through for deals. It's fun to look at, but honestly, the prices there didn't seem like great bargains. Service and Store Experience The store is clean and spacious, and they have their own parking lot, which is a plus. The cashiers were fine just rang me up, nothing special. A couple of times, I've needed a price and they said the manager wasn't there, which was a little frustrating. Also, not everything has price tags, so sometimes it takes a while to find out how much something costs. Overall I'd say it's worth checking out if you like browsing big discount stores just don't expect every deal to be amazing. This gallery/community space/boutique/gift shop had endured the pandemic and a shaky economy, STILL holding space for events that fortified, uplift and support the neighborhood and community. This is the place where you can catch a live music show, listen to poetry, meet authors and learn about their latest book release, look at art and find a new art piece for your home and buy the most unique gifts around. Their space is filled with local artists, but traditional and modern, unique clothing line, progressive books and items that are hard to get. This place is too good to gatekeep and the prices are very fair and reasonable. For their art shows, they take care of their artists by waiving a commission fee and collaborating with local business to treat them with a dinner and drink. In a city where galleries feel cold and transactional, Espacio 1839 sets the bar for the art scene. Come by, grab your next book, buy presents for your loved ones and start your art collection.
