ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE! one of the women who works behind the counter tries to blow helium into these two massive balloons i brought to the store. after paying $12 for helium, she filled up my first balloon from the middle (it's a long number balloon) and caused so much tension on the seams that it ripped!!! so she causes one of my two balloons to explode, blames it on the poor quality of my balloon, and told me to buy her balloon (which happens to be an ugly shade of orange, that doesn't match my gold balloons). she was beyond rude, taunting me to call the police when i demanded an apology and compensation. to make matters worse, she arrogantly refused to give me a refund, arguing that she lost her helium even though it was completely her fault!!! i've worked in retail and hospitality for years; never have i ever treated any customer with such disrespect. it's disgusting and inexcusable. i will never be back. please don't support a business that treats customers like trash.

The extra, I bought from browsing the store.

99 Cent Stores were once prolific in the City but since the pandemic they are no longer that cheap…read more The majority of goods sold start at $1+. However, one item still costs the princely sum of 99 cents. The Dove Bar! I specifically asked the owner about it. There is a huge sign so one cannot miss it. I frequent this store quite often as there are many items that are far cheaper than at other shops. As one enters the rows are packed to the brim neatly and nicely. Baby wipes which cost now $1.79 are nicely priced as I buy five packets at a time to clean my apartment. Some medications like the A&D cream that comes in a tube costs under $2. Now this is a bargain. Bottles are nicely priced too and so are school supplies. Detergents can be expensive though. There is even a variety of packaged food items but I don't care for them. The owners are a kind couple.

Very good customer service at this new thrift store near my apartment. I've spoken to two employees…read moreand they are so helpful each time I visit the store. Today I was looking for a sink stopper. Prices are very reasonable for odds and ends. There's a little bit of everything. The manager said to give him a week and he will get the smaller sink stopper. He only had the one for the kitchen sink. I need the bathroom sink size. You have to visit to see how organized the store is laid out. This is going to be a pleasure after the mess at the dollar store nearby. I'm already a fan after two visits. I even added the business to Yelp so everyone can support this new business. It's great to have inexpensive options. Plus they're open long hours daily for electric, plumbing and hygiene emergencies. Anything you may run out of. You're welcome.

I came back to try to see if they could replenish the helium because it must've been over inflated and this the material stretched out, but they refuse to even have a conversation about it.

You know, I really wouldn't mind it so much if the junk didn't spill out onto the sidewalk. Every day, more and more unattractive piles of cheap mops and plastic do-dads blot out the view from the sidewalk seating at the pizza restaurant next door. It's simply an eyesore. Forget about the fact that they don't have room to carry half of what you might actually go to a 99¢ store for, despite using the sidewalk as additional sales space. And having customers who allow their dogs to piss on the floor doesn't help matters at all. I want to say that they can't control their clientele, but messy attracts messy. And don't get me wrong.... I love a good 99¢ Store. But they tend to be larger and more comprehensively stocked. This one is just like the one further down ghettofab Amsterdam, only more sloppy on the outside. I know the sushi place didn't do much business, but this kind of downgrade on the block doesn't help the business that exist there at all. And here I was thinking things were looking up. *sigh*
