Value Price Pharmacy has been on my list to write my review for a long time. I like to shop the greeting cards that are located near the left side of the front door. It's a very small neighborhood pharmacy. Today I asked if I could take photos and was told by the super nice employee that the owner doesn't like photos taken inside. He said I could take photos of the outside. I'm getting better at responding to requests. I'm really trying to make a effort to get permission first instead of acting like a crazy woman in a candy store. I do get excited when I like a business. This is a clean well organized but small pharmacy. It's a little pricey but sometimes it's worth it for fast friendly service. I shop greeting cards so they are priced as marked. I was just yelled at for a second time this week by the employees at this pharmacy. I am in the midst of trying to set up my prescriptions with a new insurance and the people at this pharmacy have been rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful. DO NOT COME HERE read more

All of my several (4-5) visits were terrible experiences. I lived in the building and only ventured in because of the proximity to my home and also because of the offering of Air Heads chewy candies for my children. Each time I stopped in the store, I was followed by the cashier who conveniently came from behind the counter to whichever aisle I was on and watched me until I picked up an item(s) and took it back to the cash register, before choosing two flavors of each of the candies at the register. I came only for the Air Heads candy, but would always walk to a random aisle to try and choose something I may need for the household so that I would not have to swipe my debit card simply to buy a minimum of $2.50. The cashier would often receive a nod or eye signal from the guy standing at his perch behind the pharmacy counter before trailing me around the store. I noticed this activity but returned a few times thereafter to confirm what had transpired on my first visit. Also, the store engaged in selectively selling Lysol and other Covid-19 related disinfectant products depending on some "arbitrary" factor unique to each customer. Several times I was told by the female cashier that she didn't think they carried Lysol while checking out at the counter, until she looked to the guy looking down from his perch behind the pharmacy counter who either slightly nodded his approval, or winked an eye to give the cashier the okay to sell me the Covid-19 disinfectant product. After receiving the okay to sell the product, the cashier would pull the product(s) directly from underneath the cash register and counter in which she was standing, and would say "Oh, look, we have just one left". Also, the store offered 1 mask to each customer at no cost and without fail. As soon as this policy was implemented, I noticed that the 1 free mask was also handed out "arbitrarily" only to certain customers. Nevertheless, I had to ask for a mask each time while checking out at the cash register. If I could name this posting, I would name it, "Profiled: I live in the building and the UES, you only work here"! read more

This place is amazing... Think old time mom and pop store of pharmacies. Fazal goes out of his way to take care of the people in his store. One time I was very sick and stuck at home. I was on meds and feeling nauseus... I called to see what I could take with the meds I was on and he not only sent me something for the nausea, but asked if I had ginger ale at home and when I said no, had some delivered to me as well. They really get to know their customers. He knows who I am and always has my prescription waiting when I walk in the door. You don't get this kind of customer service at the large chain stores! read more

Best pharmacy ever. The owner/pharmacist really takes the time to get to know your name and deliver personal service every time. There is never a long wait time for drugs or a problem to call up your doctor. You got a sense that they have real pride in their work and to provide real customer service. Hands down the best pharmacy and pharmacist in the neighborhood. I have a 6.5 year old and will not go anywhere else. The pharmacist is so kind, caring and responsive. He always remembers us. He has delivered medicine to us numerous times and so quickly, especially when for my daughter, even late in the evening. Every time I call him, he is so patient and caring. It is great to have a very reasonably price mom and pop type of drugstore left in this neighborhood when everything is turning into a chain pharmacy. They have the friendliest and most reliable pharmacist in town--and actually everyone in the store is great to deal with. I am very impressed with their prices which are cheaper than Duane Reade. They have great cards for about $1.59 and a good selection of cold drinks for $1 to $2.75! read more

After 4 times Duane Reade never had a stock of my medicine and my medicine was never ready on the promised date or kept me wait more than 30 min at the time of pick up, I did online research for a decent phermacy. Thank you to all of you who posted a review about this pharmacy. All those reviews were correct. They had stock of my medicine, and 1 week after when I revisited them for pick up, before I said anything, the phermacist told me, "Oh, your medicine is ready." I was puzzled and stood still. He remembered me & my order. And I'm not a superstar. Their service made me realize how wonderful it is to have a good old small business in my neighborhood. This one of the best small pharmacy I've been to! The pharmacist Fazal would fill your prescription once and even a year or more later he'd remember your name and what you've filled! The staff as well as the pharmacists are so friendly and welcoming not only that they are so helpful just when you walk in to help you get whatever it is you're looking for. Unlike the big chain pharmacies whom usually never ask you if you need help or look at you and just continue their work. I give them 2 thumbs up at Value and wouldn't change anything. Wish there were more Value Price Pharmacy chain rather than Duane Reade, Rite Aid, CVS etc... continue to go to Value because if they don't have what you're looking for they are more than happy to help you and order it not only that they will deliver practically anywhere. This is the best pharmacy I've ever been to. The owner/pharmacist remembers my name even when I haven't been in for years. He fills prescriptions quickly, answers all my questions, and offers prompt delivery. Skip the nonsense at Duane Reade and rite aid and fill your prescriptions at Value a price. I have been going to this pharmacy (Mr. Ray) for over 20 years. Ray is the kindest, most sympathetic and smartest pharmacist I have ever been to. My perscriptions are always waiting for me when I enter the door. If I can't come out for any reason he will send someone immediately to deliver my needs. He is extremely knowledged in all drugs and I feel very confident to ask him any question about my medication that I am not sure of. I would recommend Ray to anyone who wants a pharmacist who takes a personal interest in his customers. read more
