This is my go to Asian market in spite being close to several in the area, not as crazy busy as H-mart and lots of fresh veggies to choose from. Also, love there's a ton of Taiwanése frozen food to choose from and the Canto prepared food options. What my family loves the most is being able to buy raw fish from the fish market and get it fried and salted right there and have it ready to eat!

This Taiwanese supermarket chain is the largest Asian grocery in the USA. Predominantly on the West Coast, it has expanding its footprint across the continent. This spot in Edison is the nearest our home in Bucks County, PA. It is a very large store. It reminds of Wegmans with departments for all produce, package goods, meats, fish, bakery, dairy and hot prepared food for takeout or eat in at a small dining area. It is clean and well maintained, although our shopping cart had a bum wheel and needed maintenance. We found the prices to be higher than the Asian markets we frequent in and around Philadelphia, but no doubt leases are more expensive in Central Jersey where real estate taxes are astronomical. So, we walked the whole store, but didn't buy more than the minimum needed at home. The selection at the butcher and fishmonger were less than expected, but we did find some golden pompano that were cleaned and packaged well. They will also cook and steam the purchases as no additional cost. Although we found roast duck hanging in view and pork nearby, there wasn't any roast chicken in house, often imported directly from China or Taiwan. We took advantage of discounted spicy chili crisp (great for dumplings) and found good local made cookies in the bakery section. Plenty of workers on the floor with logo shirts and name tags who were helpful in directing us to what we were looking for. All were friendly and well trained. Overall, a positive experience, but we left with the same question we entered with - What does ,"99 Ranch Market," mean? 80% of the way to a perfect score.

I don't return items purchased often. In fact prior to returning an item here I can't remember the last time I returned anything at a supermarket. I did have to return a shelf stable unexpired jarred sauce one week after I bought it here and I was given the most ridiculous 3rd degree ever. No prejudice on what people wear but I definitely don't look like a bum in my dress pants and shirt with a tie or a guy trying to scam anyone over an $8 return but these ladies in customer service are the worst I've ever encountered. Like I'd try to steal $8 bucks returning a clearly shrink wrapped unopened product. If I wasn't already going to the market for other items I would have just ate the cost but given I was in the neighborhood after work, I never thought I'd have any issues returning an item that was not fresh or perishable, clearly in exactly the original packaging. Not only did they need manager approval to process the return, who thankfully took one look at the item and also glanced at me and gave the thumbs up, but these women at checkout followed me around the store after the return and at checkout afterwards as some form of intimidation for an $8 return! Based on my experience, which I know goes against the grain here, I would never recommend this store to anyone and I personally will never come back ever.

Had a jones for fried fish so 99 Ranch it was! I picked it out & they cleaned it out & fried it up. Easy as that. While they did all that, I shopped. Huge selection of everything. I always go wild in the produce section because it's stuff you can't find everywhere. The prices are a little higher than some other Asian grocers but I'm here. Lunar New Year is upon us so there were even MORE treats than usual. Just everything you need under one roof.

Nice Asian market off Route 1in Edison. This store had it all from freshlive seafood to bakery to imported teas and coffees. Their selection of fresh fruit and veggies was massive.Especially some Asian pears from China that have never seen at our local markets back home. Staff seemed friendly and helpful as I explored the aisles for holiday gifts . One thing I noticed how extremely clean the store was as several people were cleaning areas. Return: likely

I'm actually kind of mad that I didn't know about this place sooner. They have just about everything asain. They have snacks, sauces, meats, breads, buns, bubble tea, and more. They even sell pre marinated again meats! What really sold me about this place is the hot bar. Usually, hit bars at asain markets aren't always the best. This hot bar is the TRUTH! It was so yummy. Made me feel like someone's grandma was in the back cooking up all the food, lol. The best part, aside from the quality and flavor, is how much food you get and how cheap it is! They give you sooooooo much food. 2 sides and a base (rice or lomein) is only $10!

This is probably my first time reviewing a supermarket/grocery store on Yelp. Here goes.. I've only ever been to Kamman and H-Mart... and frankly those don't really remind me of what I know in Asia. As a Taiwanese person in ethnicity, I'm SO stoked because this is a PSA (which I might or might not regret sharing) that there is this radish chip snack (they call it carrot chip)-- I've asked family to get from overseas and they had to seasonally order it in Taiwan and bring it to America. I FOUND it, plus other flavors from the same brand. These chips are addictive and come in small chip bag portion sizing which is good when you don't have great impulse control. Stocking up again soon. So many Chinese and Taiwanese snacks- you're not gonna leave hungry or disappointed!!

This Asian grocery store focuses mostly on Taiwanese and Chinese brands. It is a place for fairly priced goods. Pottery - check. Fresh veggies and fruits - check. Fish and meats - check. Frozen food - check. Canned and dried goods - check. Snack - hella yas! Double-check! They do run specials which can be found near the front of the store or at the end caps to make it easier to find the sale items. It's a fairly organized and neat store with everything clearly labeled. If you are not sure where it is, look up and you will see the signs of where things are. If you still can't find something, just ask one of the employees. They are usually stocking things and making sure things are neatly arranged. If you are not in the mood to cook, no worries. They have a food court for hot foods such as dim sum, noodle soups, and my beloved congee when I am too busy to make it. Although the last time I ordered congee from them, they were a bit parsimonious with my pork congee order. Boo! There is also a section where you can purchase BBQ items Hong Kong Style such as whole or half of a soy sauce chicken, roast duck, and roast pig with crispy skin. There's a Chinese bakery baking fresh on-premises, so you can get desserts there to make your shopping trip easier. It's like one-stop shopping. These two places can be found in the back of the store. They are run independently from Ranch 99 so you will have to pay separately at these stations. At the time of this written review, all employees were seen wearing masks. There is a liquid hand sanitizer near the entrance/exit of the front door. There is a huge parking lot in front of the store so you will not run into any problems with finding parking. It is in the same mall strip as AutoZone and Sunmerry Bakery Cafe.

This is more than just a supermarket - it's everything you need for Asian cooking AND a delicious hot food section. This place has groceries, home supplies, essentials, snacks, and a mini food court that sells fresh hot meals ALL FOR A LOW PRICE. I got a heaping plate of food for $12 (noodles with veggies and two types of meats). I literally can't wait to come back here for another plate.

I love this place! There's so much variety in food options, especially hot food. They are very clean and everyone is very helpful when you're in need of finding items or translating. I ordered from their hot food service station and received the tastiest and freshest fish I've had! Can't wait for my next trip

Bigger and more organized than your average Asian supermarket, but it left something to be desired if you compare it to 99 Ranch locations in other cities. Being from New York and having shopped at somewhat disheveled, very crowded and less-organized Asian supermarkets in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens all of my life, I didn't think high-caliber Asian marts existed throughout the country. I first visited a 99 Ranch when I vacationed in Texas and I was shocked that such a clean, well-organized, spacious Asian supermarket chain existed. There weren't waves of air filled with fish and seafood odors and everything was so neat, like a Wegmans. Unfortunately, this 99 Ranch kind of brought me back to reality. Although it didn't ruin my excitement of visiting future 99 Ranch markets, it did dampen that future excitement a bit knowing that not all 99 Ranches are built the same. My wife and I visited during the COVID-19 pandemic in May on an early Saturday evening and, yes, there was about a 15 minute wait to get in. Masks and temperature checks on shoppers were mandatory. Gloves were optional and available at the entrance, if needed. Compared to the Asian marts I typically visit, 99 Ranch was still an upgrade - it was still spacious, fully stocked on literally everything and relatively clean. There wasn't a thing we were shopping for that wasn't in stock. There was an abundance of Asian vegetables, frozen foods, cooked foods, packaged foods, sauces, seasonings, meats, snacks - anything that you can think of that you typically purchase at an Asian mart, they had fully stocked. However, the small food court was obviously closed. I definitely had appreciation for how well-stocked this market was, but my wife and I did have a small gripe about it and that was the meat section. There was an extraordinary amount of meat in the section that was sort of a mess. Our assumption was that since we had arrived late in the day, the earlier customers probably caused this, but it was never re-organized. Nevertheless, our preference was to stay away from the meats since we don't know how past customers treated them when handling. If you're there to purchase meats, then it's best to probably arrive earlier in the day. The parking lot was also plenty spacious and we enjoyed our first time at this 99 Ranch location, but it was nowhere near what we had experienced in Texas. The Texas location we had visited was way bigger, brighter and, really a joy to actually stroll through. However, beggars can't be choosers, so we'll take it for now.

I got 99 problems, but this ranch ain't one. And I prefer 69 Raunch to 99 Ranch but that's another story for another day. My notes say: great place with a coco inside and nice bathrooms International grocery stores are amazing. I spend so much time in them, and this is a good one for sure, although I prefer Edison's H-Mart significantly. It's great that they have bathrooms at the front of the store and they're clean and easy to use. The Coco inside is nothing short of wonderful for boba. A lot of the other stores in here are pretty cool, some overpriced, while some are better deals. The grocery store itself is full of great International Grocery Store items and it's an excellent 99 Ranch that is better than a lot of the ones in New Jersey elsewhere. Definitely overall one of the top places to hang out in Edison and in New Jersey in general. And I've tried 99 Ranch dressings and have yet to find one I like. 100th time lucky?

Popped in here for some groceries and they have a good selection of Asian produce and fruits. Meat and fish in the back; canned, dried and jarred goods in the middle along with some frozen food aisles. Usually good pricing on the veggies, and mixed on some of the other goods. Mooncakes were slightly more expensive than at HMart for the type we bought. Still, short lines and quick to get in and out. Not quite as crazy packed as the Hmart.

Does anyone know if the Congee place in the food court is open and if so what times/days? It was open during covid but the last handful of times I went it was abandoned. Thank you!

I believe I've seen them open on weekends only. But I'm not 100% sure.

Is the food court back open now?

Are the roast ducks available at 9am?

That part of the food court with BBQ roasts and other Chinese food has been and remains closed during COVID. The bakery and other stalls like Penang Street, Kings Village, and Coco are open though.

As of 5/13/2020, does anyone know what the Saturday hours of 99 Ranch - Edison are during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Hi, we currently open from 9am to 6pm daily.

Anyone know anything about Ebenshade farms (the eggs)?

According to Google, it's local (PA). Rating is 4 star. At least it's not from China.

The store is clean, well-organized, and the produce section is surprisingly fresh with lots of options you don't usually find in regular supermarkets. The seafood section is a standout--plenty of fresh fish and shellfish, and they even clean or cut it for you on request. The meat section is also well-stocked with cuts popular in Asian cuisine. Sometimes H Mart feels like it was purposefully designed to have that chaos in mind, like you're meant to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount and variety of goods they offer, to meander through their tighter layout to discover something. Adds to the bustling atmosphere. Kind of like Costco and Trader Joe's. You're always going to leave buying something you never intended to. H Mart tends to cost more than the other Asian markets and caters more towards the youth. Lotte has the cleanliness of H Mart with nearly as much ethnic goods as them, if not more in the South and Southeast Asian department. Their overall design and layout is simpler so it's easier and faster to find what you need. They have pretty consistent sales to boot. Peace and quiet, great for elders and families. Lotte remains to be the most balanced and the IDEAL in terms of shopping experience, variety, quality, and value of all of the Asian markets. Go to the back past 6pm for 30-50% off discounted prepared food. I personally find some of their items, like kimbap, to be better than H Mart's. Food court is also significantly less busy than H Mart's.

So you get to select 4 meats at a time and then your sides. And of course the complimentary items like Kimchi, Radish, their own style of Mashed Potaotes. My favorites: - Pork belly (all different flavors) - for the plain pork belly dip it in the sesame sauce and salt so yum - Bulgogi - Shrimp with the heads Sides: - Japchae - Corn Cheese - make sure to heat it up on the grill before eating - don't make my mistake lol - I love steamed egg and they didn't have it so that's why they didn't get 5 stars from me - Of course white rice Dessert was the Hotteok - really good! Note: You cook your meats (not like Cast Iron which I prefer who cook it for you) and each time our 4 meats are done they would give us a new pan to grill. Be careful with the carbs... you easily can get full. Enjoy your meal ours was yummy and hit the spot.

Specifically people not stopping at stop signs or driving in the middle of the lane. There fuel efficient parking. However, it's not enforced seeing gas guzzlers in there. Leaving to the store. It's pretty good. There is a cheese monger there who I think's name is Mike who is awesome. He has been really helpful and when I've had cheese questions or gone there he is always very friendly, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to talk to. Unlike any other cheese section at whole foods I've been to because of him. Their hot bar is like pretty standard hot bar. Nothing to write home about but nothing that's bad. The pizzas are pretty good, although a large pizza is I would consider a medium. They're fish. Selection is waxed and waned. The last couple times I've gone there has been multiple types of salmon. And the past they've had more varieties of fish. Although they're shellfish selection is pretty good. The last time we were there we ordered a few dozen oysters and they were very good and they gave us size to take them home and which is a plus. Not a bad local whole foods, Worth stopping in if you're local or within a 15-minute drive.

Any Whole Foods Market is a wholesome grocery place where you get anything that's edible from A-Z…read moreand this place falls on the same line as its peers. Parking is a breeze unless you are here on a weekend which might make it tight but you will still find your spot. They offer anything under the umbrella - floral, produce, water refill, meat, bakery, freshly prepared food and even an Amazon Return counter which makes it very convenient for return drop offs. The place is ambient, produce is fresh at all times, checkout including self checkout are smooth and the customer service is impeccable. Amazon Prime members get discounted price with a QR code from the app. Now coming to why I would rate this place a star less- I mostly frequent this place for the water refills and there have been instances when the lines are long due to a spout issue where the water would stream thin or the water service being totally unavailable due to mechanical issues with the system. This is a common problem with the Bridgewater location too and I hope Whole Foods brings about a change to either make it available at all times or bring in some form of notification system for signed up customers.

I was in the store on January 2, 2026 around 5 PM so that was yesterday. The store got bum rushed and there's was only one register open and the line was halfway back to the end of the store nearly. Anyway, he Ended up opening up another register. When I tell you, this guy has some type of superpower lol! He literally scanned and placed in the cart all my items, (and mind you I had about $200 worth of groceries) about less than 2 minutes. 3minutes tops!! I was absolutely just amazed and in shock. Like is he even real! So ya I just think that he needs to be acknowledged and shout out for his hard work! Thanks Santos your awesome. kindness goes a long way people never remember a dick ( an trust me I know all too many I also work where is very important) but but people will always remember a kind, genuine person. 20 stars! However, the brand-obsessed consumers who'd rather pay the premium for mainstream labels might snub their nose at Aldi's off-branded products. But honestly speaking the quality of their sourcing is rather strong. They even offer some organic and gluten free food items did the health conscious crowd. I choose this supermarket to buy my milk, eggs, and some meats & produce because you can't beat their prices elsewhere. My only complaint is that they don't have a customer rewards card and will not accept coupons
