He also provided me with a detailed explanation which I appreciated. Richie and Sergio (I hope I have the right names!) showed up and quickly evaluated the problem. The roots from my tree were deeply impacted into the valve box and being an old and neglected box, cracks, etc. were present and causing the flooding. They actually prepped the area before returning the next day. As a teacher, I so appreciated the time Richie took to explain everything in detail and what would need to be done to fix the issue. The concern for my well being and peace of mind as a homeowner, was always present. I was so impressed and overwhelmed with emotion (we have been through a lot with our home of 20 years) with the final results. Not only did they completely remove the old valve box and replace with a whole new system, they went through my yard and replaced all the sprinkler heads! He kept his word on when he was would arrive to do the quote as well as when he was able to start the job and the expectation on when he should be done. He explained what needed to be done to fix the problem and gave us the option to repair or replace and assured us that if any problems should arise after he had completed the job all we needed to do was call him and he would come back. Tony was very professional and we felt confident in selecting him to replace 8 main sprinkler valves and then test all of them to ensure that everything was working just the same as before without having to reprogram the timer for the sprinklers. The value to me was that I couldn't fix the problem on my own. Peace of mind is what I got and that was worth the price tag. Does Tony cut corners and produce sub standard work, absolutely not. Surprisingly he answered my call and said he could visit. His arrival was on point and he quickly went into a survey mode. I showed him the sequence of each water station with the dedicated sprinklers to each. He color coded where each hidden sprinkler was, took measurements and identified new locations of sprinklers. He totally reconfigured the existing set-up and proposed to remove & replace sprinklers to achieve the ultimate water pressure with adequate water coverage. His mannerism and professionalism was the selling point to hire. He provided a estimate and we scheduled around his availability. He arrived early and quickly went to work the following week. I spoke to him briefly and left him alone as I left to work. He spent a full day carefully removing sections grass, removing sprinklers, relocating as needed and leaving my lawn with minimal damage to grass.
