Then one day after, the speakers, and microphone were disconnected of the computer. I called him again,and he told me his price was again $ 350 plus taxes. So, it is difficult to pay $ 800 dollars for a job that is done in one hour and 5 minutes. I understand inflation is high but there should be some kind of consideration with the customers. In any case yellow pages advertises the charge of $150 per hour, and that does include the commute of the technician to the site. In conclusion I got another technician who came to add the speakers and microphone to my computer in 15 minutes, he charged me $140.00dollars. I do not recommend this busines.

The fact he actually listened, worked it out in his head and gave me a genuine solution and feedback is unheard of these days. When the person picks up the phone, there is music blasting so loud that I had to move the phone away from my ear. Then she answers the phone as if it's her house. "HELLO?" I honestly thought I had the wrong number. I asked "Good evening. Is this RadioShack?" And she says "Yeah, can I help you?" as if I'm disturbing her from something. So I asked "The reason why I'm calling is to see if you have FireWire cables." Before I even got another word out to explain what kind of cable I needed, she said "We don't have any." and hung up. She didn't even bother to look for me. DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER! Let me explain something. I use to be a Manager at the RadioShack that use to be located on Nostrand Avenue and Avenue Y in Brooklyn when it was open so I know what type of customer service you're suppose to provide. After that phone call, I'm ashamed to tell anyone that I worked for that company. I use to pride myself in making sure my customers were completely satisfied. And now, your sales representative didn't even bother to place me on hold to LOOK for what I asked for. If my old District Manager Glenn would've heard me pick up the phone like that, I would've been in serious trouble. It's sad that this is what RadioShack has come to, hiring people that don't even care about their jobs and think that the place is a hangout with music blasting. Costco has food and places to sit and eat while BJ's has only a takeout Dunkin' Donuts. Costco has a full service optical department that accepts health insurance. BJ's has a small optical department that does not accept health insurance. On the plus side for BJ's which is closer to me, I like that there are signs that tell you what items are in a particular aisle. Also, the lines at BJ's tend to be shorter (although on this particular visit, my checkout line was manned my the slowest cashier I've ever experienced at either wholesale club). All in all, both rate 3 1/2 stars, both have advantages and disadvantages, both are fun to visit, but I think I would give Costco a very slight edge.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any Verizon location. I went into this…read moreWhitestone store on November 15, 2025, for a simple phone upgrade, and instead I became a victim of what I consider fraudulent and deceptive business practices. Without my knowledge or consent, the store added an extra wireless line to my account and attempted to push it through as part of the upgrade. I never agreed to an additional line, never requested one, and was never informed that it was being added. I discovered this only by checking my account afterward. The new line number was 347-233-0663. This line was created without authorization and used for a promotion I did not approve. When I called Verizon customer service the next day, I spoke with Jason and later with a supervisor named Jao, who both confirmed that this line should not have been added and that the transaction from the store looked suspicious. The fraudulent line has now been disconnected, but I should never have had to deal with this mess in the first place. The fact that a Verizon store employee can add a line to a loyal customer's account without permission is completely unacceptable. This creates serious trust and security concerns. Instead of transparency, the store relied on misleading sales tactics and false advertising to push a promotion that I never consented to. This location needs a full investigation. I strongly warn anyone considering visiting this store to be extremely careful and to double-check everything they do on your account. Based on my experience, this store does not act in the best interest of its customers, and the level of dishonesty I encountered was shocking. Avoid this store at all costs.

Told me to swing by with my cappuccino covered MacBook. He dried it, checked for crunches, did a quick look at the motherboard and gave me the thumbs up good to go - no charge. So when we're living in a culture where you're expected to tip the barista for pulling the soda out of the fridge, this was above and beyond. I'm a customer for life here and you should be too. Recommending purely because they understand customer service, Michaels a genuinely nice guy and he knows his stuff. Wonderful business. You all should make it your go to electronics spot too.
