They pulled up my existing driveway and rolled in new Item 4. They allowed it to sit long enough to firm up before returning to re-roll the low spots with more Item 4 and put down asphalt. They applied a generous layer of both for an amazing final product. They graded everything appropriately and were incredibly efficient. The only reason I left off a star is because of the communication. I had to call to find out when they were coming for the tear out and had to call again to get the date that they were coming back for asphalt. I was on their calendar but no one reached out to tell me dates. That was up to me. I would 100% recommend them for their work and efficiency.

They did a beautiful job sealcoating my driveway with all cracks carefully filled with hot tar. Since then, they bait-switched on me twice. First time they switched the oil sealer with hot tar filling to a latex sealer job. Later, Jr. told me that was his cousin and he's no longer there. Jr. said he would make it right for me if I would hire them again. But Jr. did the same thing to me this year. He sent another cousin over to do the job. This cousin, wearing another company's uniform, said no one told him that he needed to do hot tar crack filling. He got Jr. on the phone. When I confronted Jr. that not only we had agreed earlier about the sealcoating and hot tar filling and the price, but also his office confirmed all this with him, then reiterated to me item by item, which included hot tar filling of the cracks. Jr. said that it was the secretary's misunderstanding /miscommunication! So, the cousin did latex coating of the driveway and cracks. Besides, they didn't do a neat job either. Some part of the driveway edge was not seal coated and the grass on both sides of the driveway was black. Moreover, they tied the yellow ribbon on my fully loaded garbage can which I put outside for next morning's collection. I had to go out in the middle of the night to untie the ribbon and tied the ribbon to something else. I would not go back to them ever again, and would advise if you consider hire them, put things down in writing, don't trust what they say.

We should have known better when they didn't start the job when they said they would. They were very messy workers, leaving trash lying around. We had them stucco the foundation and I knew plants and shrubs would have to be moved but they literally ripped them out and threw them away. One flower bed that was made had old pieces of stucco hidden under a thin layer of dirt. They didn't put straw on the seeded lawn and most of the seed washed away in a rain storm. Get a real contract from this guy. He didn't stick to his promises. The only thing done correctly was the stucco job and the pavers.

A little less than five years ago, we hired this contractor to install what was approximately a…read more10x12 patio along with two small retaining walls. One wall was roughly 4-5 feet long, and the other was an L-shape with sides approximately 4 and 5 feet long. During the installation, they struck or broke one of our water lines, causing significant flooding in the excavation area. They immediately denied responsibility and claimed the line must have already been damaged from excavation work done decades earlier when a concrete slab was originally poured for the basement apartment entrance. That explanation never made sense to us. The ground had not been disturbed in at least 20 years, had a concrete slab over it the entire time, and we had owned the home for several years without any signs of a water line leak. We have a convertible jet pump system, and there had never been any loss of prime, short cycling, or any indication of underground leakage prior to their excavation work. As the flooding continued during the project, they insisted the water must have been coming from another leak somewhere on our property, despite not being able to locate one. We repeatedly explained beforehand that we have a high water table and occasionally had groundwater issues in the basement. Once they broke open the slab and excavated the area, it created an easier escape path for groundwater, which is why water was pushing up through the excavation. Eventually, one of their lead workers privately admitted to me that he thought we were probably correct after they investigated further and could not identify a leak source along the water line itself. Despite this, we ended up absorbing the cost of the damaged line and were then charged approximately $6,000-$7,000 extra for additional stone, drainage tile, and excavation work to address the groundwater issue. In hindsight, that drainage work actually confirmed what we had been saying all along because after the deeper drainage system was installed, our basement water problems improved significantly. While the drainage ultimately helped the property, we do not believe the additional charges were reasonable considering the issue was triggered by their excavation and the amount charged did not appear proportional to the actual labor and materials involved. We were promised what I believe was a five-year warranty on the work. However, we had to call them back multiple times within the first couple years because sections of the patio settled and sank. Most recently, one of the retaining walls has begun collapsing inward from soil pressure behind it. Getting the owner to respond was difficult. He repeatedly failed to show up when promised, and once he finally came out, he initially claimed the patio was already "six or seven years old" and out of warranty. When my mother-in-law corrected him and pointed out the work was less than five years old, he immediately changed his explanation and said the warranty did not apply because of the prior water issues and because they had already come back a couple times before. That reasoning made no sense to us. The drainage conditions were known during the original project, they accepted the work, performed the drainage modifications themselves, and still provided a warranty afterward. If the drainage or installation was inadequate, that reflects on the original workmanship. A warranty should not suddenly become void because the contractor previously attempted repairs on the same failing project. He then claimed he had supposedly left extra retaining wall block for us after the install, which I specifically remember was not true because I had previously asked about the leftover material and was told it was being returned for credit. Eventually, after additional delays, he admitted he could not find any matching block and then quoted another several hundred to a thousand dollars to repair the failing wall. At that point, we decided we were done dealing with the situation and will be hiring another contractor to correct the issues properly. Overall, our experience was extremely frustrating. The work required repeated repairs, responsibility was consistently avoided, communication was poor, and the warranty only seemed valid until it became inconvenient to honor. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering similar work make sure all drainage concerns, warranty terms, and repair responsibilities are documented very clearly in writing before proceeding.

After he went out there to take a look, he asked if I wanted to the good news or the bad news. The Good News: The windows were already super energy efficient. He knows because he had put them in himself for the previous tenant a few years back. What a coincidence! The Bad News: He wasn't going to make any money on this job. Which, if you're paying attention, you may realize was also really good news for me. Dave could've just straight up done the job again and made more money (as some dishonest folks would've), but instead but he got a laugh out of me, and a customer for life. As with every type of appointment for construction services you normally enter into a conversation hesitant wondering who is this guy, and will he give me a good price, a good job, stand behind work, or just give me a crappy job and run with my money, never to be heard from again. We've all heard the stories. Dave arrived at my home, introduced himself and we talked at great length about our siding project, and he did a walk around the home just to evaluate the job. He came back in, did a little figuring on a piece of paper, and gave us a price on the spot. While we knew not what to expect about the cost, we were somewhat surprised as it seemed a little over what we had budgeted. We talked a little longer and he explained in great detail what was needed and what he was going to do, he explained the funding and how it would work and he left. We thanked him for his time, his explanations, and his proposal and told him we would be in touch. After Dave left my wife and I sat down and discussed the project, the cost, and the timeline, as we wanted to get the project done before September this year. You know that everyone says, "Never take the first proposal, get prices, get multiple proposals, etc". We didn't know what it was exactly, but my wife and I both felt really good about our visit with Dave and so we decided to call him back the next day and enter into a contract. Not to make this review to long, the project was scheduled and actually took place a week earlier than expected. Dave anticipated a 5 day project, and they finished up in 4 days. His guys were like busy bees, only stopping for a 30 minute lunch break each day. Very professional, knew their profession, and did not need constant oversite. Dave's supervisor on the job Louis knew the job and knew the timeline and was sure to make it happen. While Dave was on the site almost every day, I think he thinks of himself as the cleanup crew picking up and taking garbage almost every day. There was no language barrier between the workers and me, and everyone on the job was eager to please. Dave made every effort to assure that the finished project was worthy of our praise, even adding a few things not originally negotiated in the contract. While the project was not considered a large project, it had alot of intricate details that took extra time to work around. My wife and I cannot express enough our level of satisfaction with Dave and his guys. They did what they said they would do, and most likely more that we didn't even know about. Great job, great contractor, and great value for the money. The project was worth every penny spent. I see now why much of Dave's business is return customers. We would/will certainly use him again if the need arises. Not to lengthen this review longer I would only like to add, that Dave is human, he is not a robot and his speech is not rehearsed. We learned alot about his family, his dogs, etc. and we felt he was true to form, just a good guy to work with. Highly recommend. Despite this, there unfortunately was still a misunderstanding on our end. We reviewed the reports and decided to get both the creosote treatment and boiler liner installation. Dave and Matt came to do those and were friendly, efficient and clean. Later, when my husband looked at the work they did, it did not appear to be what we were previous told it would be at the initial inspection. We expected masonry and busting through the cinderblock and there didn't seem to be any of that. We wanted to make sure they were doing what we had been told they would do. We called and spoke to the owner, Robbie, who listened attentively to my husband's concerns. He very professionally and calmly explained the misunderstanding and apologized, explaining that honest work and customer satisfaction is of their upmost priority. We were very impressed with how he handled this and left the conversation having 100% faith in this business and its service people. He even came out again to repair some cracks that had formed once the cement had dried. Robbie went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers. HV Chimney has been the only service I've used since purchasing my home 17 years ago. And Larry has been my go-to for advice and insurance that the job was properly managed. On this cleaning trip, Larry thoroughly inspected and cleaned the wood burning insert they recommended and installed a little less than a year ago. I didn't expect it to be a big job since we've used the fireplace just about four months in 2025. ( I almost put the service off a bit longer to save a few bucks.) My safety minded brain would not let me. THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT: my stove was not in use for months over the warm weather, so we we able to proceed. TIP: DO NOT USE UOUR FIREPLACE FOR AT LEAST 48 hours and insure there are no hot coals or they will need to reschedule for safety. We were ready to proceed. I'm glad I kept my appointment because more soot had built up in the nooks and crannies than was visible. SAFETY FIRST!!! Larry did his usual thorough examination and cleaning an left my living room tidier than he found it. I am considering options for a second fireplace that we decommissioned nearly 15 years ago. Larry took a close look and offered several great options for me. He's honest and Kelly at the office is wonderful and responsive, too. Therefore, they had to remove the 3 layers, replace some of the plywood, and then replace the gutter-covers. They did a great job. They were very professional, finished faster than they said they would, and ended up charging us less than they initially said they would. One thing that really impressed me was that when something fell on a railing on our porch and cracked it, as soon as I pointed that out Sheeley agreed to replace it without hesitation, they went out purchased the replacement, and installed it without me having to lift a finger. When a company lives up to their mistakes like that it really shows their true value. These guys were not the cheapest option out there, but they were very well worth the extra cost.

After dealing with several contractors who took weeks to confirm a site visit for an estimate and then NEVER getting back with a price, we called Sheeley upon seeing their ad in the Bluestone Press. Kelly got back right away to schedule an appointment with General Manager Steve, who came out and walked us through the process, giving a clear breakdown of pricing and answering any questions that arose along the way. Day of install, the crew was incredible - fast and precise with safety a top priority (ropes/harnesses etc.). Front and back of the house was draped with debris nets, protecting flower beds and siding during demo. Garrett, project manager and liaison between crew and homeowner, was very affable and kept us informed on the progress. By mid-morning the roof was off and ice and water shield was going on. By 5:30 the shingles were on and the yard was swept, even utilizing a wheeled magnet to syphon any rogue nails that may have landed in the grass. The charcoal architectural shingle with black drip edge looked sharp with clean edges, giving our home a more modern look while not breaking the bank. Sheeley offers an incredible decades-long warranty on their roofs, which is even transferable to future owners should you decide to sell. It's amazing to watch a crew firing on all cylinders and complete a project in one day - only wish we had set up a time-lapse! Hands down a great experience and we can't recommend them enough. Look around on your next drive and see all the Sheeley signs at the end of driveways - there's a reason for that!

Lectured us on how to dry wood for 5 minutes, that they would work up an estimate and that we also needed repointing on the chimney. They charged us $150.00 and left after about 15 minutes. After several days we received an estimate for a total of $22,300.00 to replace the liner, clean the insert and rebuild the fire place, with no credit for the $150.00 that we paid for zero work! Proceeded to have two other companies give estimate and both stated that the liner and insert could be cleaned for under $500.00. Hired one of them and cleaned the insert, the liner and now fireplace works great, like it is new. Not a good experience at all and would not recommend or ever use this company.

After 2 years of an unusable fireplace! We officially have a wood burning insert!…read more When I tell you this has been a LONG road! 3 chimey companies wouldn't touch the job, we have an old house and a very BIG request! We didn't want a huge stove that took over the living room. We wanted somethint that fit in our existing space! We didn't want to convert to gas or electric. I felt so defeated! Then my mom was behind a truck one day. Tri-county Chimey builders. She said it can't hurt to call them. So I did, Frank and his son in law Anthony came out in November todo an estimate and see if they could do it. "This is a BIG Little job he said. we need jack hammers to remove parts of the brick. We need to remove the damper and the flu to run a liner. But it's not impossible." What I heard was he could do it! So I got all my ducks in a row and called him Thursday last week. He came back out to the house same day! He said we could do it Tuesday! Today with lots of tools and experience they made my BIG little job come to life! In the spring they are going to completely re-store our original chimney! Which is stone and not brick! Again a job NO other company is willing todo! While my house is small it feels like home, my husband & I want to keep as much charm as we can! So if you need a Chimey repair man Frank is your guy! Have a Chimey you never used frank is your guy! Have a job no one else wants Frank is your guy!

They completed masonry work on the chimney, chimney liner, tile knocking, stove installation...in addition I threw a curveball at them by asking (mid-job) if they could build me a completely new hearth!!! And without attitude they said yes..but we just need to figure out the details. They figured it all out!...brought in a great Mason for my stone hearth & I am sitting here tonight with a beautiful fire in front of me! Their workers cleaned up after themselves. They were EXTREMELY knowledgeable in all aspects of this line of work. They are friendly. They never spoke down to me (a female.) as a matter of fact, prior to finding Tri County Chimney, I had another chimney company come in for a quote & BOY, were they trying to take me for a ride & literally using scare tactics...and the follow-up calls to pressure me into a repair contract bordered on harassment! I can't recommend Tri County Chimney enough! I have now had two co-workers use them based on my recommendation & I am now telling anyone reading this to feel confident using this company as well.
