Do not hire this man; he is not professional or competent. He could have caused more damaged. Zain, was called to fix our toilet last summer (6/2025). He didn't fix it properly, and it kept running that resulted in depleting our water supply. He was called again, and he denied that he made any mistake. He blamed our water pump; saying that it needed to be replaced. He was not professional and asked the men in our house hold to help him lift the pump up out of the ground. He insulted one of the men by saying that he needed to put on 'His Big Boy pants.' Fortunately, this task was abandoned as all three men were not able to lift the pump out from being lodged 60 feet under the ground. This is a dangerous task that could have damaged our pump, and the men who generously agreed to help Zain early on a Sunday morning. Tight and Drilling was called and they told us the problem was never the pump. The problem was that he didn't fix our toilet to begin with. More recently (1/28/26); Zain was called again in a pinch when all of our water sources stopped working. He told us our pipes were frozen and broken and needed to be replaced. He charged $350 for four different visits. He fixed everything except our Kitchen sink. Only hot water came out, and then we found out it was leaking in the basement. We had another contractor arrive, and he told us our pipes were never frozen. In fact they were clogged, and fortunately he was able to rectify the matter. We thought to give Zain a second chance; that is why we called him a second time. Do not make the same mistake we did. read more

Don't recommend, broke my $1200 washing machine for $200 in 10 minutes while replacing the water inlet valve, along with the $130 genuine part. Cold water worked fine, replacing to fix the hot water. Cut holes in the machine instead of unscrewing the screws and yanked the inlet valve with his hands while flirting with me and telling me he doesn't normally do this work, referring to me as babe. Refused request to fix or a refund, and sent angry barrage of texts accusing of blackmail because I said I'd be forced to leave a bad Google review if he wouldn't come back to fix or refund. Would've been cheaper to buy a new washing machine. read more

I called Sir Fix A lot to unclog my bathroom sink. The job was done perfectly. Zane replies to texts immediately and also keeps you in the loop. A week later we had a flood which another company was handling but I called Zane in again since we had no heat or hot water. Well, we needed a new boiler. Prior to using this company I would Look at how he responds to negative reviews. What are his credentials? Is he qualified to do the jobs he's doing? Does he have insurance? Do you get a receipt of services? Does he only take cash or Venmo? If he messes up something in your home and you have no proof of service, you will have a hard time fighting that. I would not recommend Zane Isenberg/Sir Fix a lot. He is unprofessional and irrational. I used him once for a small electrical job and it was fine, luckily he doesn't charge by the hour because he took his time and kept leaving to get "parts" when actually he was making trips to pick up alcohol that I found in my garbage after he left. I did not know Modelo Pina was a thing until I saw multiple cans in my garbage. He seemed like a nice enough guy and I was still happy to support a local business despite this. Fast forward to a plumbing issue I called about. I made an appointment for the following day but completely disregarded our conversation and 10 minutes later he is speeding down my street honking the horn and shows up..I kid you not IN BOXERS. Ripped boxers no less. He was erratic and argumentative as if he was on something. He was quick to cut a pipe that I was trying to tell him was there for a reason and was arguing with me about it. I'm like ok you're the professional right? And guess what, he cut the pipe (then asked to keep the parts) and it flooded my basement. I payed Venmo business to business so fees are involved (that's the cost of doing business) and he refunded me (minus the Venmo fees because he thinks customers should eat the cost of his errors) only because he actually thought I was dumb enough to invite him back to do a bigger job. He called so many times after I told him that I was going elsewhere that I had to block his number. I would never invite this person in my home again. read more

I first heard about Sir Fix A Lot through the NextDoor app. So, when I needed a plumber to replace a water softener with a new one that I purchased through Amazon, I reached out. He was very responsive to calls & texts, and thorough in his work. Turned out, I purchased a piece of junk for a water softener. So I had to call him back to fix a leak in the system. He was at my home within a half hour and valiantly tried to work with the new water softener without success. The new water softener is uninstalled and no more leaks. Zain Eisenberg, aka Sir Fix a Lot, came out quickly for a complicated and messy plumbing job. We had a backed up sink drain that ended up being a complex journey into clearing and re-piping the mess the previous owners had left, including massive grease plugs. Yuck! He stayed hours over what's reasonable to finish the job, getting very dirty, and at such a reasonable rate I wanted to pay him more! I have used Zain previously, and though he was a little pricey, he was reliable, and good. That changed on January 22nd of this year. My Navian furnace stopped working on January 21st (the coldest day of the year). A tech from JSP said that it was a frozen pipe near a window that was open a little in the basement. He advised heating it, which I tried to do with a hair dryer. After 20 minutes, it still didn't work, so I called Zain. He came out, and spoke to the Navian hotline to troubleshoot the problem. They advised replacing a valve in the furnace, but it would have to be ordered. Zain was going out of town the next day for a week, and I would have had to wait until he returned. He replaced a valve outside of the system, and charged me $650. With the forecast for more fridgid weather, I couldn't wait, and called Upstate Energy. They had the part, and came out on January 24th to replace it. He replaced the part ($750), and the furnace STILL didn't work. The tech told me that it had to be a frozen pipe. I borrowed a friends salamander the next day, and blasted the suspected frozen pipe, and 20 minutes later, the furnace worked! I spent $1400 for NOTHING! I'm on Social Sercurity, and fixed income, and can't afford this! I'll find another handyman! read more

I highly recommend Sir Fix ALot home services for any home repairs or new installations of plumbing or anything else you need fixed. I met Zain (SFA), when he came to my house that I had recently purchased to install a UV light. He told my boyfriend the evening before he would be at our house at 8:45 the next morning. Mr. Eisenberg now seeks to justify his unprofessional behaviour on a claim that I am a horrible customer who is impossible to get a long with. What did i do to earn this: I asked for a receipt three times. When Zain came to my home, we joked and were both pleasant to each other. After he finished we even discussed another project and he promised to get back to me with more information on that. then as I was paying, I asked for a receipt. I do not remember his exact words, but they were something to the effect he did not have what he needed to write a receipt in his truck (i assumed a receipt book or something like that). I told him I was preparing the home for sale and needed the receipt to help lower my capital gains ( and therefore tax liabilty). he said, "no problem, just text me your email and I'll get it out to you." We texted "here is our email for the receipt and other info." This email went out before he left my property. i have a Ring camera outside and checked the time stamp on when he left and when we texted and the text went out before he left. so when (three weeks later) claimed that we nver asked for it that day, he is not being truthful. The story is pretty clear after that. When we did not get the receipt after a week, we texted and asked for it. He wrote back, saying he was busy but would get it to us. When another week or so had passed, and we asked again, he told us "that he would just added it to a receipt in the future when we hired him again. (so much for me being that horrible person he would never work for again) when we then told him, we would not hire him again, he became belligerent and told us we "did not need a receipt, get over it." he continued with more rude and belligerent texts. I am 60 years old, and in those 60 years no one had ever refused to give me a receipt when asked, until Mr. Eisenberg did so. While I can think of many reasons not to want to give a receipt, none of those reasons are legitimate. if asking for a recipt makes me a horrible person, has he now claims, I ask you, if you are considering hiring him, to ask yourself, why he is so afraid of documenting his work and what he is paid. then ask yourself, if you wish to hire such a person. read more

service time was quick once contacted. the repair on bathtub faucet was neat and completed to my satisfaction. the repair needed a closet wall to be opened up to reach the defective faucet. sir fix alot doesn't do carpentry work so i had to put the wall back togethermyself. one bit of advice get other estimates before granting sir fix alot the job. you will be saving a lot of money. read more

I can't tell you how satisfied I was with the service and Zain 's professionalism. I requested a quote this morning and he responded within minutes. He asked a couple questions about the project and gave me a reasonable quote. He expected that he could stop by and perform the service later in the evening, but an opening came up and called me mid afternoon to take care of my issue.
